“Will go back”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013

Spacious apartment, nicely decorated with all amenities in place. Everything works and if something else is required, just ask the staff.
Will go back, with or without family as I like the space.
We didn't get to use the swimming pool due to the monsoon (cold weather) but it surely looked attractive.

We booked a studio premier room and were pleased to find the room as it is depicted in the pictures. Spacious, comfortable, clean, well-equipped and mostly well thought out. There were three power points that catered for 3-pin plugs from Singapore without the need for an adaptor. The wi-fi connection in the room worked throughout at a good speed. The hard floors were a little creaky though and the long mirror could be better located.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and took great pains to ensure we were looked after, even assisting to make appointments for us, and calling ahead to ensure the shops we were heading to had what we wanted in stock! As this is a serviced apartment there isn’t really a full restaurant or coffee house available. Breakfast was provided, but it left me more grateful to have a fully equipped kitchen & dining table in our room. I used the gym once, which is a little small but had what I needed for a workout on holiday.

While the Citadines is well located, the road conditions are not conducive to walking. Plan ahead, even for short journeys as the traffic conditions mean disproportionate travel times. Strongly recommend using the car and driver from the Citadines if you’re out for the day and especially when arriving in Bangalore by air. We made the mistake of using Meru Cabs at the airport, and had a driver who drove recklessly and with no regard for safety whatsoever. We had a prompt check-in and check-out. We certainly will return to the Citadines, Richmond and would recommend it to anyone in Bangalore.

Having stayed in Ascott Group hotels in the past, I made a choice of picking up Citadines at Richmond Circle which was close to the purpose of my visit to the German Consulate.I was very happy with the stay at Room # 1609 (Executive Suite on 6th Floor). We reached early at about 9:30am on July 5th and the hotel staff were kind enough to let us freshen up and rush for the embassy as we had a n appointment at 11am. While we got ready at their poolside washroom, the room was ready. I liked the room which came with a balcony and good kitchenette with all the amenities. The King sized bed was very comfortable and the decor was good in the room. The bathroom was slightly small but I have no complaints about it as the toiletries were sufficient. The best part was that the hotel is just 15-20 mins walk from MG Road, Hard Rock Cafe and Brigade Road (we walked one of the evenings to Hard Rock Cafe). Shopping areas like Garuda mall, 1 MG Road, UB City are just about 5-10 mins drive from the Hotel. The breakfast had a decent spread with a mix of Indian and continental menu at the restaurant on the 4th Floor. I got a good deal at about Rs.5000/night on Hotels.com and was happy! Their Library lounge on 5th floor is good with a decent collection of books and comfortable seating space. The service at reception was very good and other staff in general were courteous and helpful. Adarsh Hamilton, Chancellory Pavilion are very close to this Apartment hotel. The only negatives I observed were the location of the swimming pool next to the restarurant and the pool is quite small, and when we arrived in the room, a peeled orange was laying in the kitchen sink (looked like someone forgot to clean it!).
I would recommend the hotel for business, family and leisure travellers.

Room Tip: Go for Executive Rooms - they are value for money!

Not impressed with the service. Stayed there for a night just to get the feel of the city since I came to Bangalore for a week for work.
Requested for a King Size bed as I was alone but was given twin bed, when asked for a change, they said no problem but took them 4 hours to come and change my room. Was told at the end that room request is subject to availability - which I think they should have told me during check in and not when I walked in to the room.
Asked for a hotel taxi to send me to UB City - and I wasnt sure of the distance only to find out it was 10 - 15 min walk from the hotel. Cost me Rs235 which was for an hour hotel taxi booking rather than just a drop off at the shopping mall. Should have taken (or at least being advised) the auto.
Was constantly being bothered in the room - room cleaning in the morning although i put a sign dont disturb, 2 calls asking for check out time, although I have said checking out at 1pm from the first call.
Last but not least, during check out time, i have asked for a taxi to send me back to Brookefield and was told to wait for 30 minutes. When asked if there is anything faster the front desk lady made a stupid remark saying this is not New York where you can get a taxi on the road - thought that was rude.
Bfast was good, with options of fresh juices and not only typical heavy Indian breakfast. Room was clean, and shower was good. Bed was quite comfortable too :)
It is definitely a value for money, good location however they need to improve the customer service skill.

I have stayed at Citadines for 10 days while doing business in Bangelore. It's a fine and good looking hotel. I was considering giving a 5 star rating, but some things are not excellent. Rates on the conference rooms are ridiculous, The hotel is advertised as a Apart-hotel, but the smallest rooms (30 m2) are a normal hotel room with no kitchen functionality at all. The breakfast is ok, but not great.
I would consider staying there again on a business trip.

Room Tip: Choose rooms on top floors (4th, 5th, 6th, 7th) due to the noise from the streets (which is everywhe...

I choose this hotel because of the room size 550 sq.ft. approx. The Hotel is well located. The rooms are nice and with complete kitchenette. For the price I paid, I was surprised to get more. The bathrooms are very small. My room was a non-smoking room and had smoke smell all over. The room has menus of a lot of restaurant and fast-food joints to order in. The Breakfast restaurants was very sad, half the items were not there in the buffet, had to ask for refill which came after ages. There was only one guy in the entire restaurant servicing. Then came a lady stewardess who was behaving as if she was doing a favour by getting more refills for the buffet. Apart from this the hotel is a good value for money.

Room Tip: Ask for the backside room, as the front faces the main road and a flyover and is noisy

Citadines Richmond is like a serviced apartment, centrally located on Richmond road. It has good parking space to park your car. The rooms are sparkingly clean and decent, though only slightly bigger than those of Ginger hotels. The hotel even has a swimming pool. Its good for a short stay esp if you want to be in the middle of the city from where everything is approachable. The hotel provides only breakfast and other meals can be ordered as home delivery through a list of restaurants provided. However just behind Citadines is another hotel - Adarsh Hamilton, where the food is very good - both a'la carte as well as buffet. I would recommend going to that hotel for food rather than ordering in room. The staff is courteous and is ready to arrange for taxi or any other such services even at a short notice. Overall great value for money.
