There are not many good resorts in and around Bangalore, where one can rejuvinate and beat the week long stress, but Jain Farms is definately NOT the best choice, especially during peak summer. Contrary to our expectations, this wasn't really a very enjoyable experience.
Firstly, the drive to this place wasnt very pleasent. The roads were not good. There werent many boards that guided us to our destination.
When one reaches the resort, the beautiful Gulmohar trees and the domestic animals catches one's eye. The website mentioned something about tons of activities to keep us engaged, but all they had in stock was pottery, magic show, bullock card ride, housie and a few indoor games, where half the things were missing or broken. The swimming pool was under maintainence during peak summer, which was a complete let down. The other kid's pool was so dirty, one could see that it hadnt been cleaned in very long.
The food was..er... okay, but the ill maintainence of the dining hall made the experience seem bad. The tables were not cleaned after people finished eating, there was no water to drink. The restrooms were a big big disappointment.
The resort was not equipped with basic needs. In the name of "high tea" we had tea in plastic cups outside in the open. There was no cool refreshments to quench the summer thirst.
The property lacks maintainence. The rates were reasonable... but the experience is not worth the long drive from Bangalore which too us two hours to cover.
And this place is definately a "no" in peak summer.
