“Enjoyable stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2011 via mobile

Had a Fabilous & enjoyable weekend, chilled out by the pool, played a lot of snooker, kids had a ball in the play park
Would definitely recommend this wonderful place if you are looking for a short break very close to the city

It’s not a good place to enjoy the food. The amenities were nil, broken snooker table, 20years old carom, volleyball court was full of dirt and big stones. The staff were really bad. Stay away from this place. I have been to this place my family and friends but had a bitter experience.

You name it Food, Rooms, Hygiene, Hospitality of staff are all well below any of the resorts I and my friends have stayed. Per family with kid along with Lunch, Dinner, 1 breakfast cost us Rs.4700. Well with that kind of money you can find a very decent place anywhere in the world. This place is hyped - the food pathetic. The staff will treat as if they are doing you a favor by bringing in water, etc. During the course of the day multiple times we had to wait for more than 45mins to get something as basic as water, towel etc. A place surely you can avoid going. The only good thing was the swimming pool which though not big was maintained well. At night for security reasons hotel management let their Labradors loose, so incase you have an emergency and you want to step out of your room, be sure to be ripped apart by those dogs - We were appalled to hear this and was asked to go inside our room at 12:24 while all of our friends were chatting over a bon-fire.

Well at the end of a month, if you want a quiet & budget holiday, then Holiday Village off Kanakpura road can be the place. A decent place, the property has a medium sized pool, with a childrens section. The Punjabi food is quite good. Property is maintained quite ok. Rooms are just average, but considering the overall cost it is still ok. service is ok

Had been hearing about this place Holiday Village
from friends for a while, last nite we decided impulsively that we needed a quick short get away, we decided to check out Holiday Village, which happened to be just a 10 minute drive from home.

Must agree that we had a truly memorable stay, a thoroughly refreshing and relaxing short and very affordable break.

We checked into what is called the Junior Suite priced at Rs 2700, had a relaxed dinner just next to the Pool, the staff was very courteous and agreed to move our table just beside the lovely pool.

We ordered a Live barbeque, the barbeque served onto our table on a bed of live charcoal was an interesting dish sufficient for the two of us, we finished off with a Makhani daal and laccha Parothas.

Saturday night the Place was packed and very lively, we were told they have a live Ghazal programme every Friday Night and Old hindi songs live every Sunday night, Regret having missed both this time, shall definitely go back for more.

The next morning had a leisurely breakfast after a swim, and we lazed around in the cottage, while Maddy caught up with some much needed sleep, we then tried their fabulous and reasonable Lunch Buffet, which again drew hoardes of people, the live pasta, the dosas with the Keema was fingerliking good.

We decided to head home at about 4pm after enjoying just less that a full day but feeling like we had had a long break.
