“Mesmerizing trip at Leh with Hotel The Auspicious !!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

We were 4 couple visited Leh in August 2013, to get out of the heat of Delhi. Our transfer from the airport was easy and stress-free, the hotel cars waiting for us when we left baggage claim. On arrival at the hotel we were given rooms immediately on arrival.

Location: Excellent
Hotel is located very near to old leh market and fort road market. Its hardly 200 meters away from Leh’s most happening market.

Rooms: Excellent
The room’s ambience was more than expected by us. Rooms were Spacious, comfortable bed, clean, LCDs with DTH cable. Washroom was of decent size, with Hot water mostly running. Also free WiFi is available at times. 24 hours power back was icing on the cake.

Food: Very Good
Loved the communal dining experience. They served us buffet breakfast and dinner. Complements to the chef to be able to prepare decent cuisines in such a remote location. We never expected such lovely and vast buffet. The veg food was nicely cooked, and homely. We all enjoyed food at the hotel.

Manager : Mr Vishal Superb
You will find very few professional managers like Vishal in Leh. He can be spotted anytime in the hotel asking about guests about the comfortness and facilities. He has always given us the genuine and practical advice during our stay in the Leh. I probably haven’t booked the hotel, if I hadn’t conversed with Vishal before making the reservations.

In short, we went to leh with limited expectations, but moment we were received by Vishal at Leh our expectations superseded. Be it rooms, service, food, location, room service, advice, costing, its simply superb.

Next time, if we come to Leh, we will definitely stay with Hotel Auspicious.

Accidentally got into this property for a query about river rafting, Mr. Vishal managing the hotel was hospitable enough to offer services for our 8 day long trip since then without flaw .

The room was factually more then expected by us..Spacious | comfortable bed | fresh linen | LCDs with DTH cable | Properly sanitized Baths with Hot water mostly when we need it the most + WiFi ;) in short a perfect place which i term as home away from home.. just because Mr. Kunzang Namgyal (the owner) has a mind set to make it a better place.

Top Notch i would say location wise.. very near to the market, restaurants, bus stop, airport.. makes it even better because the concierge assists you with mostly all essential logistics.

If i visit Leh again this is where i stay :)

They provide with warm and comfortable rooms at such an cold enviroment. They change their food menus to your convenience and offer delicious food of all cuisine even at such remote area og the world. The hotel staff is well behaved and offers amazing hospitality. Would definitely suggest people this hotel because of its good service and facilities at such low costs. It deserves more stars than it has been given

I stayed there for 8 days, the hotel was provided to me through package tour which I booked....very friendly staff, the food was good, its located very near to the market, and the location is perfect, away from the noise of market, there is a Temple on the hill very near to the hotel, a must visit place from where you will get the view of Leh City, this hill is at the centre (almost) of Leh. Rooms are very clean, in power cut situation they have Generator to provide Power backup, hot water supply is not 24 hrs but on demand it will be provided if asked for, otherwise they provide hot water supply is in the morning and evening,

Great service and super friendly and helpful staff - true to Ladakhi hospitality! The location is also excellent and only a short walk away from Open Hand Cafe :)

We found the Auspicious Hotel great value for money considering you had power all the time and free wi-fi too - not easy things to come by in Ladakh for sure. The hot water was also reliable, the small luxuries that all add up to a comfortable and relaxing stay!

Room Tip: If you have a room on the first floor facing the courtyard you get a pretty good wifi signal.

When I came to Leh, I was already pretty sure I had found my favourite hotel in India, but I was about to be proven wrong! After seeing the tours sign outside, I popped in by chance to enquire about the buses to Manali and was given some excellent advice and even escorted to the bus station, where the very courteous Jigmet helped organise a jeep for me. The guys at Auspicious are keen to help in any situation and unlike many other places I have visited, they expect nothing back from it. CUSTOMER SERVICE = TOP NOTCH!

The hotel itself is idyllic, down a quiet side street just off from one of the main roads, the windows from the rooms look out over poplar trees or the hotel's pretty garden, which is fringed by wildflowers and a lovely shady place to read a book or chat to Kunzang (the owner) and his friendly staff.

The rooms themselves are excellent even by western standards, which is uncommon in the midrange price bracket. The beautifully laundered white sheets are changed frequently and the rooms have SKY tv and classy fittings.

As a lone female traveller, I find safety and the 'vibe' of a hotel to be of utmost importance. I really felt at home here. I felt I could trust everyone straight away. There is really nothing negative that I can think of to say about this place, I would recommend it to all my friends and wouldn't stay anywhere else if I visited Leh again.

Brilliant food, friendship and comfort. Thanks guys, I wish I could take The Auspicious Hotel home with me!

Room Tip: All rooms have sky tv, comfy beds and big windows. Those at the back look out over poplar trees whil...
