“The worst experience..”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2013

The hotel booking for Sadaf Hotel, Srinagar was the best experience. But, at the same time hotel booking for Ramba Palace Resort, Pahalgam was the worst. It is shameful for your reputed site to include Ramba Palace Resort in your hotel list. It is neither a hotel nor a resort. The so called hotel consists of a few wooden huts in delapilated conditions with miserable furniture & fixture, situated in jungle, road is one kilometre away from the huts, it had nil occupancy when I reached there. Address of the hotel is given as main road, Pahalgam just to misguide the people. It is no where near the main raid. At the most, it can be used by only trekkers.

This is not a hotel, not a resort, not even a proper building (it almost seems like a haunted house). Booked it through Make My Trip. Could not locate the hotel for two hour after reaching Pahalgam. I is far away from the main place with no proper road leadig to it. There is no market nearby s written in the address. It was locked when we reached there. There is no signboard leading to the place. The place was dirty with pigeon dropping all over, there was no proper flooring, no staff, no kitchen, no restaurant, no hot running water, no parking, no internet. The watchman reached there after an hour and he claimed to be the manager, cook, watchman and helper himself. We had to arrange another hotel on our own. Never make a mistake to book this so called hotel. These people are big cheaters. Make My Trip should blacklist this place so that no one else is duped.

I have a booking of 7 rooms in this Hotel on 25th and 26th March. Position of this hotel is very bad. It is very difficult to reach there. There is no approach road to this hotel from main road where your vehicle can reach. No parking. From Road you have to climb about 70/80 meter crosiing drains and stone. They are basically cheater. Mr. Nishar ahmed who claimed as owner of this hotel ( mob. 9596002459) and also owner of hotel pallestine. Never try this two hotel as you will be cheated. Mr. Nishar ahmed promised me over phone to give accomodation in hotel pallestine. Then he suggest me for Ramba palace as pallestine was already booked. He told me this hotel is also good and of same category. But reaching there we are shocked after see the hotel. hotel is totally isolated, there generator is also not working, market is around 4 km from there. The I talked to him to provide me accomodation in other hotel. He told me no room is available in any hotel and He will not refund advance amount if i don't stay in his hotel. Then I arrange hotel in my own. At the end of march pahalgam was not so crowded. we easily got good hotel with the hel of our driver. They don't refund my money. Don.t try these Hotels . they are cheater

The Ramba Palace is one of the best place for relaxation, one can stay at while visiting pahalgam. Its (as the name implies) is build within and surrounded with

beautiful pine trees and as peaceful as heaven. The rooms are spacious and comfortable.

What we loved most was the breakfast, that had a huge spread of fruits, juices and pretty much anything one asks for a breakfast. A good mix of vegetarian and non

vegetarian food. The Ramba Palace has sit-outs facing the river and the snow covered mountain range.

The resort has a variety of rooms, deluxe, suit, family room and villas as well to accommodate a huge group of ppl. Every room is wooden floors with amazing carpets

and has a great view.

All in all, the staff is great and very helpful. A great place to stay and highly recommended Its certainly a journey of a lifetime full of fond memories.

Thank you for your warm welcome, your service and my pickup and all the arrangements
you made.
We had a fantastic time at Ramba Palace this past week.our guide Muzaffar was very kind, caring, and took us to some of the most beautiful places in Kashmir.
the food and service here deserves an A+.
Kashmir is the area to visit if you are looking for a vacation that balances both adventure and relaxation.though it's often compared to Switzerland,in fact it's much prettier and the people are friend er.
You will be happy with your decision to come to Himalaya House.
This is beautiful hotel with beautiful area and unreal views, hope to come back!.

Room Tip: vacation that balances both adventure and relaxatn

Stayed here for a total of 10 blissful days including an amazing 5 day trek with the excellent and ever helpful Majeed and Kasim to guide me on the way. The scenery was awe inspiring, the local gypsies and shepherds genuinely welcoming and friendly and the trekking great. One of the best experiences of my travels to date and highly recommendable.

Ramba Palace is in a beautiful spot on the west bank of the river Lidder and is a peaceful retreat with stunning mountain views. It's simple but very cosy and I spent many an hour curled up in front of a roaring fire reading a book and chilling out. The staff are incredible and looked after my every need with fantastic food and a seemingly limitless supply of chai to boot.

If you're thinking of coming to Kashmir then I'd highly recommend this place and if you want to see a bit more of the beautiful nature and people then book yourself on a trekking trip as well - you won't regret it.
