Good comfortable hotel just whats needed before and after vaishno mata mandir darshan.
Hotel staff provided us with yatra slips on arrival which was excellent on their part. Overall good hotel for the purpose it served.

I chose this hotel 'cos it seemed a decent price, and 'cos we didn't really plan to be in the hotel room for long. Room was decent-though on the older side [holes in carpets etc.]- as shown on their website. It cost us Rs. 1500/night [net, inclusive of taxes + extra mattress]. Bathroom was clean; geyser functioned which was needed after the long walk up[ though be advised of the power cut in the morning; for which you need to keep the geyser on all night].

Lobby area was decent, though toilets in the reception area are not well kept [no soap/water/trash bin]. Restaurant was decent- cost us Rs.400 for breakfast for 3 persons].

Main disappointment were the owners/reception staff. While free drop/pick from BanGanga had been included, despite informing them thrice after check-in of our preferred time for departure; the van didn't show up even after keeping us waiting for 45 minutes! This was crucial eventually as we just managed to do darshan before the Vaishno Devi mandir gates closed for darshan for 3 hours! On our insistence, the hoteliers aranged for a rickshaw and promised to pay for it [Rs. 100 each way]. However, at the time of check-out they created a ruckus on this issue and refused to budge. They started accusing us of not waiting!! Also, they never guided us honestly on car arrangements, sightseeing etc. They said they have internet but when we asked for it, they said the server is down.It always seemed like they were trying to sell us their services, and dupe us in the process! Very uncomfortable; and left a sour taste to our stay.

Location is decent- not too close to the bazaar and not too far [10-15 min walk].

our family has been coming to visit the holy shrine ever since i was born and we have always stayed in hotel basera as it provides a very homely envoirnment and there is always something new to look forward to in each visit. The newly renovated rooms are meeting the modern standards with the old price.overall a place worth the valve

Its a very warm, cozy hotel. We forgot some valuables in the room while exiting in a hurry to catch our plane. The manager sent a person all the way to Jammu airport to give our goodies to us. I would say very honest staff and will return to this hotel again & again. Our entire arrnagments were made by the manager and the last thing they did was a cherry on top of the cake.
