“The fountain show”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2014

Just located below the 19th century Bahu Fort , which incidentally is one of the most revered places for hindus after Vaishno Devi. It houses a Kali mandir , the goddess is revered by all the people of jammu regions.
The Bagh -a- Bahu as the name suggests is the garden in Bahu.
It has a small man made lake and kids during summer can enjoy a joy ride.
In the evening there is a musical fountain show which is very attractive.
Additionally there the government has now commissioned an Aquarium too which adds to the beauty of the place.
Overall a paisa basool place. The entry fee is very nominal.

Beware of monkeys as at this place they are found in abundance.

“Just visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2014

The Bahu Fort is located in Jammu city in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. The fort, originally built by Raja Bahulochan some 3,000 years ago, was refurbished by the Dogra rulers in the 19th century. The fort is a religious place, and within its precincts has a temple dedicated to the Hindu goddess Kali, the presiding deity of Jammu. The temple is known locally as the "Bave Wali Mata temple". Idol of goddess Kali came from West Bengal and near to it is Bagh e bahu, many old bollywood movies pictured here. Nice place to visit. Bagh e bahu aquarium is there. Some museum species of fish kept here with the live fishes. You see the whole Jammu city here. You will enjoy, entry fee is Rs. 10 only to Bagh e bahu and entry fee with camera to aquarium is Rs. 50.
