“Warm & Welcoming stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2014

I had booked rooms over the phone and visited the place after 15 days in 2011. The rooms were ready. Though the rooms were small it was very cozy with a good view of the snow capped mountains in the distance. Room service is excellent. The staff is well trained and courteous. The hotel is quite a walk from the main market street. The hotel staff is very accommodating to your request.

Room Tip: Ask for room facing the mountains and not the entry road.

Its a awesome hotel to stay in..Clean Rooms very good service ...Nice Ghazal in the eveing dinner one of the attraction of the hotel.Beautiful and peaceful surrounding .The service is good and rooms are clean. Breakfast is good. Location is scenic but It is far off from the mall road where all the shopping and restuarants are. You will need to eat the hotel food for dinner since nothing is closeby.

First impressions. after travelling from Shimla for 9 hours and took us ages to find it, the reception was very poor and we felt ignored. All they were interested were photocopying our travel documents! We were shown to our rooms on the 2nd floor which needed a complete refurbishment. The smell from the bathrooms was intolerable. My travelling companion's bathroom so sickening that she she just slumped in the chair. The staff tried to get rid of the smell by using room freshener, but to no avail. As did not want her holiday to be ruined, so I went to the reception and gave them peace about the reception upon our arrival and the state of the rooms and bathrooms. She was then given a room on the 6th floor which they said was a new extension. It was better than the one the 2nd floor. But the room had extremely low and slanting ceilings, you could move only in half the room. My room was a little better with only slight smell but there was mould in the bathroom, see the photographs. As there were no other rooms available I was not changed to a different room. The electrics were so dangerous that the key operated master switch was bypassed and taped over.

Restaurant - Decor dated, all meals were catered for the South Indians. Non-veg chicken was inedible - just bones and sauce! Carpet was ripped all over the place. Someone had spilled raita on the "floor" which looked sickening. I requested one of the staff to have it cleaned, which was still there in the morning when we went for breakfast.

Whole of this establishment has dated decor, ripped carpets and dangerous electrics. This hotel is no more than 1* or 2* by European standards. I've stayed in better budget hotels than this one.

My advice - STAY AWAY

Room Tip: Don't waste your money by booking this hotel.

The service is good and rooms are clean. Breakfast is good. Location is scenic (if you get the correct rooms ) but It is far off from the mall road where all the shopping and restuarants are. You will need to eat the hotel food for dinner since nothing is closeby.

Would advice this hotel only for couples since for families with young child or children the hotel charges a lot extra than the regular tariff listed. Check before you book since it is overpriced for families

Recently we had family vacation in Himachal and had occasion to stay at hotel Manali Heights. This property is strategically located and well maintained. Our room had awesome view of snow peaks as well as greenery from balcony of the room. Hotel is located slightly away from the town which offers you complete peace when you are there but you need vehicle most of the time you want to go to the town. Rooms are neat and clean and are well maintained. Staff is prompt and courteous. Food is well cooked on all occasions. To summarise, it is total value for money and good place to stay with family.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the mountain are better

The stay at this place was very nice. The rooms are little smaller, but they are full of all required amenities. Their breakfast spread is also nice and they start serving it from 7.30am. The room is comfy & good as well. Overall a good place to stay, the surrounding is nice and calm as this place is away from the main road.

I was here to celebrate my bachelor's party with my friends. Manali Heights is located at a very good location with great snowy mountains view from the rooms. Food was just average. Their hospitality was also good but they need some improvements in infrastructure.
