I visited Orchard Greens from June 16th 2012 To June 20th 2012 on a family vacation. Overall we had a mixed experience, We were three couples & had booked three luxury rooms through East World Tours, Punjabi Bagh, New Delhi. While booking I had insisted on Rooms with balcony & with a good view. On reaching the hotel we found that the rooms we were given had no view from its balcony. the rooms were though neat & clean. When contacted the reception regrading the same they informed us that there were no other rooms available & other rooms were available only after two days. It was very disappointing as we had done the booking 15 days in advance.

The location of the hotel was good as it was a bit away from bustling noise of the Mall & was located in Log Hut area. Hotel had a good reception & a nice garden, but rooms were disappointing. The rooms could have been better.

The service of the hotel was Excellent, the staff was very courteous & helpful. The hotel also had organized Ghazal nights for two nights which was very entertaining. Their Singing team was very Good.

Regarding Food, it was average. For us it was very spicy & also lacked variety. There should be more items in the buffet. But due to Good service whenever we asked for less spicy food, they immediately served us.

Overall not a bad experience.

We stayed at Orchard Greens from 11th July 2011 to 15th July 2011 during our summer vacation trip. The hotel is excellent in terms of rooms, cleanliness, atmosphere, room service & above all the delicious meals. The environment is very quite & calm. There is no sound of any external movements. The hotel has a very nicely maintained big park in it's complex with swings for children. The dining lounge of the hotel is quite big and with all the required amenities. The staff is very cooperative & responsive. Would love to stay again...

Room Tip: Travelers should choose not less than the deluxe room as they are big enough with attached bath.

The Orchard Greens, Manali is located across the Beas river on the other side. The bridge to reach the hotel looks old and adventurous. I was there with my wife, for 4D/3N package through Manaliwonder.com. They offered us many hotel options, sightseeing etc and arranged a budget trip from delhi via Volvo. We somehow selected this hotel above apple country and honeymoon inn
Now , The hotel looks very charismatic and nice from the outset. The gardens are absolutely beautiful, we had memorable walks and quality time there. It looks like a piece of beauty situated on a hill. That is as far as the exteriors are concerned.
Coming to the interiors, that’s where it really let us down. They looked like pretty average 2 star hotels decorated in really what do I call it ….unprofessional unsophisticated ways. We were booked luxurious rooms, but they looked very standard by the amenities and looks of it. The room was big but messy and round bed was located in a corner, dint feel nice. Food was also quite average. There wasn’t much apart from the routine north Indian stuff, and really oily food at times. Still remember the half cooked Rice and the dusted glasses. We had preferred to have our lunch’s and breakfast’s outside of the hotel whenever possible.
Hidamba temple is just walking distance from the hotel. Also It’s near to the main market so location wise it a plus, for sure. Even the service was nice. They were nice and welcoming, prompt to respond. I remember our driver had a cold after a night and so we had to change the driver, Manaliwonder people did it for us. They gave very good services through out the tour
But still, it was an On- Off experience, my wife had lot more expectations, with the name of luxury rooms, the interiors definitely need a revamp along with the hotel menu and the preparations too.

Myself and my wife spend 2 nights at this hill country during our Himachal Pradesh tour in November 2011. Our tour agent has booked us a super deLuxe room and it was very tastefully decorated and was very clean and comfortable. Hotel entrance was very eye appealing due to well maintained garden giving a homely feeling. All the staff were very couteous and attended to our requirements with a friendly smile. Restaurant buffet breakfast and dinners were very interesting and our room supervisor Ramesh Thakur, extended his courtesy by persuading the cook to add specific local dishes we requested. Day and night managers were always attentive to our requests and even presented us with individual local gifts on departure. Free wIFI and excellent room service was a credit to the star rating of the hotel. Well worth the money we spent there and will choose this hotel again at any time we are in Manali area.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with the garden view.

All we can say about this hotel is:
5 stars for staff courtesy
7 stars for the cook (who personally took care of all our requirements during our stay, wish I could give all the stars to this cook)
5 stars for cleanliness
5 stars for travel arrangements
5 stars for everything else

A magnificent stay, something that we will never be able to forget all our lives.

Really made our trip wonderful.

Thank You for the wonderful stay.

Room Tip: Have all your meals at hotel only, the kitchen staff is splendid. Especially if you get the same coo...

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel during our visit to Manali. Extremely courteous staff. We had instances of hot water stoppage in our bathroom and room service guy came within 2 minutes for an inspection and fixed the problem. My tour travel company booked deluxe room with MAP plan, but at the arrival they already had all deluxe room booked. They automatically upgraded us to super deluxe room at no additional cost.

They have buffet breakfast and dinner service and also got candle light dinner in their restaurant. My travel company also arranged complementary cake which I asked for a surprise to my wife and it was really good.

Overall I definitely enjoyed my stay. I live in USA and have stayed at all kinds of hotels/motels ranging from Hyatt/Hilton/Marriott to motels like Days Inn and Super 8. But this hotel is no less than 5 star franchise hotels. Definitely recommended for couples going on honeymoon vacation.

I have attached few photos of my room and view from room's balcony.
