5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2014

We stayed here from 24th April 14 to 29th April 14.Everything was so well taken care of right from reservations to our travel to and fro from Chandigarh. The hotel location, scenic view from our room balcony, restaurant food - everything was excellent. The staff is very courteous, both restaurant and housekeeping - very soft spoken and respecting. The cleanliness is upto the mark. The hotel is maintained very well in all aspects. The vibrations of this place are awesome.Complete Value for money.A special mention for Mr.Vivek who took care of our entire trip.He treats each and every guest with respect and helps them in every possible way to be comfortable not only in the hotel but also during sightseeing and travelling.Mr.Luder Thakur,a young passionate hotelier takes care of the entire property and guests very well. Its only coz of their both's personal attention to every detail that this property deserves the applaud it gets from all its guests. Amazing..!God Bless them and the entire staff.

Room Tip: If a couple is travelling,Super deluxe rooms are sufficient. If a family of 3 then the suite room wou...

we had our honeymoon trip to Manali and stayed here for 3 days(April 13-15).
overall we are happy with the services and the food during the stay, good ambiance.
Just one suggestion, front office people should be more friendly. :) :) :)

Stayed for 3 nights, good view of the mountains, location is a bit interior and bit of a hassle to commute. Hotel is new and hence rooms are clean and neat but not big. Breakfeast has very limited options. Resturant is jus ok, food quality is average although staff are freindly and helpful. No heater in the room, when we requested they informed us that there would be additional charge for the same.

My wife and I stayed at Snow Peak Retreat Manali for 3 nights from 7th to 10th April 2014 on an all inclusive 3 Nights/4 Day package inclusive of breakfast and dinner. This turned out to be a very good option as there are very few good eating alternatives in the neighbourhood.

The hotel overlooks snow capped mountains and the sight and view from our rooms and private veranda was simply stunning; to be memorised and cherished forever.

The room allocated to us was almost brand new, very elegantly furnished in pine wood and very comfortable, albeit a bit cold at night. We did not take the optional Rs 200/night heater offer but with hindsight we should have taken that option.

The entire service personnel including the hotel owner/manager Mr Luder Thakur and the kitchen/restaurant were exceptionally eager to help. Breakfast and dinner were on buffet basis and the variety and spread was very good on each day we stayed.

Location wise, the hotel is located around 2 Km from Manali Mall Rd but there is a short cut pathway through the Hadimba Temple garden that took us to the Mall Rd in about 15 mins on foot - a very scenic and easy stroll. Our return trip from Mall Rd to the hotel was in auto and cost us just Rs 50.

Overall, we found the hotel exceptionally good value in terms of cleanliness, comfort and service quality and, having visited several highly priced hotels in Manali during our stay, we defy any other hotels/accommodation in Manali region to even touch Snow Peak Retreat at its price point. The hotel is that good.

Will definitely come back to this hotel if we ever return to Manali.

Room Tip: Choose a room on the higher floors overlooking the snow capped Dauladhar mountain range

We had rooms on top level (3 storey).Very special rooms with full wooden interiors, all brand new.
Good staff, good service.Mesmerizing view of snow clad mountains. We felt completely out of busy world.Nights were bitingly chilling even in this season.Down below there is apple garden, yet to blossom.
(only two points little irritated me are-The dining hall was full of fish smell and so we ordered food to room as we cant stand the smell being a vegetarians .Access road is narrow for a short distance.)
Still i would fully recommended for a serene stay.

Room Tip: Take any room as all have a good view.Probably rooms at top level will be more interesting for woode...

The location was really bad. You cannot go outside at night for dinner as there is nothing except this hotel. So you have to eat at hotel only. But if you want picturesque location, then this is an ideal place.

They have a buffet dinner but you can choose a la carte also. The catch here is you have to opt for the dishes whatever is there in buffet. No other choice.

Also there is a pickup and drop facility provided but the driver was not on time for pickup. We kept our luggage there after checkout as our bus was in the evening. The staff asked us to deliver our luggage to the bus stop and we didn't have to come to hotel again for picking up our luggage. So we were okay with that. But they have delivered our luggage just 5 minutes before the bus departure. Pathetic service.

Dear Guest! Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your recent stay at Snow Peak Retreat. We regret for the inconvenience caused due to delay in Luggage delivery at bus station. We always try our best to satisfy all needs and extra needs of our clients. It is peak season period here in Manali and traffic jam is normal during season period. Our vehicle left by 03:00 PM from hotel carrying yours and another guest’s luggage to Volvo bus station to hand over the same to you and another guests boarding the same bus from HRTC bus station. But unfortunately he stuck in traffic jam and tried his best to reach to you in well in time. After his great efforts he managed to reach bus station well in time. We appreciate the driver that he could deliver your luggage at least 5 minute before your bus departure (not after). However in worse case if we got little more late and bus could not wait more even then we defiantly hand over your luggage even if we have to follow your bus till Kullu which is next boarding point of this bus

Once again we regret for the inconvenience caused

Regards
Luder Thakur (Head operation)

I had sent my cousin here for their honeymoon. The hotel management has taken care of their every need. The staff is very polite and welcoming. The view of the hotel rooms are mind blowing with snow capped mountains though the room are little smaller. The rooms are warm and clean. Food is also very good. The location of the hotel which is the best. I would rate this hotel as excellent.

Room Tip: If you want to stay away from crowd, stay here and choose upper floors.
