“Beautiful resort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2012

The Manu Allaya Resort is one of the most beautiful resorts i have vacationed at. The experience is really enthralling. All the facilities are world class, be it, the restaurants, food, service, rooms, decor, spa facilities.Highly recommended for all who want to visit this exotic place called Manali.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms with a balcony

Manuallaya is all about views. The unhindered views of the Solang Valley from the bed. It just cant get better than this. Infact even the booking experience was very good & the person at the reception desk was very professional, understood my requirements & suggested to go in for the Super Deluxe room. I was really appreciative of the fact that he did not try to sell the more expensive suites to me.
The check in too was smooth & the location of the hotel gives an instant feeling of wellness. Situated on a hillock just off the road to Vashisht, the hotel is calm & serene & yet very close to the Manali main area. The rooms have a dedicated balcony from wherein there are views of mountains all around & the river beas flowing down below. The rooms too are comfortable & well kept. Infact I was particularly pleased with the tap in the shower area which was made of granite stone & was in the form of a snake head. It made one feel really close to the nature. Wonderful. The service too was very good. The ala carte food was superb though the buffet spread could have been better. Yet there were so many items in the buffet that one could find atleast few things to ones liking & so no complaint on that front. The breakfast though needs an improvement.

Room Tip: Go for the rooms with a balcony as they have an awesome view

Manu allaya is probably best resort in Manali. My stay during 2nd may to 7th May 2012 become more joyful as Ranbir Kapoor and Dipika Padukone was also staying there during that time. Rooms are good Clean an fitted with all modern equipment, Resort Staff was also very co-operative, Still there is a scope of improvement in Toilet as ventilation Fan are essential. Resort have beautiful scene from Balcony and from all places of Resort, Food was also good. My kind had wonderful time there... Spa facilities need an improvement and swimming pool was not yet started but it was about to start....

Room Tip: 1st floor rooms are more better place to stay

This is the best hotel to stay in Manali, It is located on top of a hill and give brilliant views of the snow capped mountains from the rooms. The staff and the restaurant is helpful. Food was average, However just the location and the veiws are good enough. On top of that there was heavy snowfall during my stay and the ambience around was lovely. After snow, the hotel looks exactly the way they have shown on their website. I will give a 5 star rating to this place.

Room Tip: Choose the rooms facing the valley/ river overlooking the mountains. Garden view rooms are not worth...

Resort Manu Allaya is located 600 mtrs north of the manali town towards the road to Rohtang pass.
The 5-star resort is located on the hill top over looking river Beas and snow covered himalayan mountains. The view is breath-taking and worth the price for those who have interest in photography and nature. The only sound one hears through the balcony is that of the river Beas flowing down the mountain through the valley towards Kullu. This sound is music for dwellers bored of noisy city traffic.
The hotel has a bar with a expensive collection of books. I personally browsed "The History of the World".
The food is good (not great) but the service of the staff was prompt & cordial.
For those who can afford, the hotel owns a helicopter and provide paid service to nearby areas.
In all it is nice place to be in Manali

Room Tip: All rooms have a river view but I would personally favour the rooms on the 3rd and 4th floor for a u...

I had been to the Manu Allaya with my friends & family last week. The bookings were done 2 months in advance from Manaliwonder.com after deliberate research and comparisons. We got a good tourpack with Volvo , meals, etc & it ws nt expensive as well.Manu Allaya was selected on the basis of reviews on TA
First impression was not an extraordinary experience but it wasn’t bad either. Because we were travelling non stop from Surat to Delhi and then Manali, the steep entrance up to the hotel didn’t help. Thing’s looked better upon reaching the reception area, it was very well made, classic types. We were welcomed very courteously with a lot of warmth.
Because the hotel is at some some height, it has some amazing views to offer, perhaps the best thing about the hotel. . It is quite an old property and experience and heritage show. It in a way quite old school heritage kind of a place . Rooms are quite spacious and clean, wooden furniture and fixtures gives this hotel a great look. The bathrooms too looked luxurious with the fiitings they accommodated.
The hotel was running full and hence we could hear lots of noises from the narrow balcony for a 5 star hotel. As far as the food is concerned, there was nothing special about it, although the breakfast did have a lot of variety but the vegetarian options in breakfast finished an hour before breakfast time, which was very disappointing for the hospitality of any 3 or higher starred hotel. The service too was lazy to say the least, took them some time to respond.
The hotel has a sports room as well and most sports were charged. There was a T-T table but very less space to play properly. The pool table though was nice. There is a Spa too, nothing much special, still nice place to relax.

summing up I felt, it’s a nice place for the couples and people who like to stay away from the crowd, but still you would expect better things. We are not complaning though as tour operator did a very good job with cheap rates and all.So 3.5 stars for overall trip

Room Tip: Rooms on top floor give a good valley view
