“Lot of shopping, but crowded and dusty”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2014

Some of the better shopping in India - decent food court, plenty of good restaurant options - just plan on it being very dusty and crowded all around outside, and the taxi ride there will be an adventure in crazy, noisy, dusty driving. Lots of broken pavement and infrastructure, but once inside the mall you'll have a decent shopping experience in a relatively clean, comfortable, and safe environment.

“Ambience Mall”

Check out Biba and Fab India at the very least... good designs and prices and the food court at Ambience was pretty comprehensive

“Only fit for weekends”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

Too much heat, dust, dirt and grime all around, cannot walk when out of the road (broken pavements, with auto/7-seaters honking). Inside the malls is better, Sunday mornings are the time to go to avoid rush. All pubs and food courts are more or less similar.

“Not a patch on Chicago's Magnificent Mile or Dubai's Malls”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

A sad representation of Gurgaon and the belief that having malls that are replicas of each other makes for a Mall Mile. The fun of shopping in India is in the Sarojini Nagar, Lajpat Nagar and Chandni Chowk kind of shopping districts. The latter districts can be messy to walk in, troublesome to reach yet offer varieties that are brilliant and capable of making us spoilt.

These malls in Gurgaon's Mall Mile (no localite refers to it as such though, they know it as only MG Road) are clones one after the other. The best place to land will be on the MG Road Delhi Metro Station and across both sides you have the DLF City Center / MGF Metropolis and MGF Metropolitan on the other side. These, if at all, sum up some choice of mall shopping. There is one more very good mall at Ambience Mall near the Gurgaon-Delhi toll-gate. The brands available are just the same you would see anywhere else in the world, just that there would be NO anchor attraction in these Gurgaon malls.

And how can one forget the notorious Sahara Mall?? Went with family to watch the Life of Pi for a 9p show and on way back, realized that the shady/seedy presence of men in the haunted corners and beer-corners of the parking lot has made it well known for all the wrong reasons. Resolved then that I would never go to Sahara mall again, even if the discounter-par-excellence Big Bazaar were to give one-for-one free on everything there.

Dubai has a lot more life in mall management. The Chicago Magnificent Mile has a lot more excitement and high-end variety if you need one. Gurgaon's Mall Mile - well, keep trying !!

“Retail mecca”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2013

Shop till you drop. Mall mile is great if shopping is your passion. From high end outlets to bargain places, food courts, movie hub and electronics the mall mile has it all. Partings can be a pain on weekends so go early by 1030 am and walk or take a driver.
