“Ode to culinary excellence - Chinese cuisine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

The Oriental Blossom at Optus Sarovar Premiere, Sector-29 , Gurgaon, is an excellent eatery. Having enjoyed Schechwan and Cantonese cusisines in China and Hong Kong, one finds similar taste and flavor.

The food is neither spicy nor bland, it is just right, the salt is perfect. The ingredients are very fresh, especially the Chinese greens. The dimsums are a treat. Soups are excellent, my favourite, is hot and sour. The food is not greasy and is certainly not influenced by Indian cooking, it is distinctly different.

The lamb dishes are best avoided. Seafood especially dishes with tiger prawns is excellent. If one is a foodie and has good appetite you can try their set meal which comes with soup, starters (veg & non-veg), main dishes, noodles, rice and desert. This is a huge meal and is a sit-down buffet.

Service is excellent, their staff is very well groomed, and goes out of the way to pamper their customers. I must have been to this place more than 50 times over the past few years. Price is slightly high but great food with great ambience - one would not mind to spend a little extra.

“Lunch at Oriental Blossom”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2012

We visited the Oriental Blossom recently for lunch and were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of food that was provided. Having lived in China for a few years are reasonably familiar with some of the regional cusines. The chef Mr. Prasenjit Majumder was more than happy to modify some of the dishes on the menu to suit our tastes. The only negative to the visit was the rather slow service which they need to improve. Otherwise a pieasurable experience.

“Nice Chinese restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2012

We went there for lunch and opted for set menu of INR 12-1300/- plus taxes.
Both Non-Veg & veg starters were good, apt for taste buds. Being a hard core non-vegeterian, was surprisingly enjoying veg options too. My son is a real tester of chicken dimsums; and he was kind of exhausted after eating a few as they bigger than normal & tasted fresh.
We skipped the soup and directly went in for Main Course and it was YUMM-MMY.
Enjoyed the afternoon...well it was cloudy & drizzling outside which obviously added to our fine dining experience. They had an inaugural offer of Buy 1 Get 1 on set-meals; so it was like a double treat for us. Good Food at great discounts.

“The very best Asian food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012

This has to be one of the best eating experiences in Gurgaon, if not the whole of Delhi. Prasenjit Majumder is the chef at the Oriental Blossom and his food is really amazing. Together with the restaurant's ambiance, the fantastic service and Prasenjit's talent, a meal here is guaranteed to be one of your most memorable.
