Location: On Kala-ghoda Circle, not very far away from the railway station(6-10 mins drive max)-yet the vicinity does not have the usual chaos that we associate with a station area.
Rooms: I travel single on business, and stay in the economy room for one guest.Tariff approx Rs 1895+ tax = Rs 2100( includes buffet breakfast) . The room has a single bed with wall AC, TV, study table and mini-fridge. The rooms are very clean and well-maintained. Toilets too are clean, with very decent supply of toiletries- which also includes shaving kit set and comb( a big advantage for persons on short business trip).
The lighting of the room-which is a much overlooked ( yet very imp) aspect of any hotel review- is good enough, with LED reading light on bed.
Restaurant: I have heard that the food at this hotel is iconic in Vadodara. Sure enough, their evening buffet dinner is very popular, and there is a immense spread of V/NV with a big dessert counter.
They serve complimentary buffet breakfast- which is again immense- with juices, flakes and milk, fruits, idlis, Upmas, Dosa as well as Parathas, Poha etc...Breads with eggs to order and sausages. They also have a counter for desserts like pastries( are they last night buffet's leftovers?), jalebi, daliya etc.
The best part of the restaurant on the 7th floor( or was it 8th?) is the panoramic view of Vadorara - beautiful @ day and also @ night! A nice way to start or end the day!
The Wi-Fi is chargeable- which has added a point on the negatives scale.
They have service for express laundry, which makes me give them a big plus, as shirts generally get creased at folds when on tour, and last minute ironing at hotel is a boon!
Overall, a good option for business stay, and I would recommend this hotel!
