“Do not miss this place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

If you are touring in Gujarat do not miss this place.
The fort is nothing magnanimous but a cute little place.
But the surrounding lake Lakota is astounding with the coloney of the veriety of birds.
But no doubt the Goverment of Gujarat can pay a little more attention for mauntaining the place better to facilitate the migratory birds

“A beautiful place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

The fort is located right in the middle of a lake in the centre of the city. Inside the fort there is a small museum. Only those interested in history would find the museum interesting. However, its the outside which is really enjoyable. I was there during the winter and the lake was full of migratory birds. The sight of all those birds frolicking on the lake was beautiful.

“surprisingly interesting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2012

situated right in town, surrounded by a once beautiful lake that is sadly filled with plastic and garbage and a threat to the remaining birds and ducks living there, this fort has an armoury of old weapons, collection of artefacts and old wall paintings from the last rulers time.

“Quiet little museum in the middle of a lake”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2011

This is a little fort inside a lake. The lake is a little grungy but has a large number of birds and other wildlife. An impressive amount from what I have seen in other places in India. Probably the closest thing you will get to peace and quiet inside the city. A nice place to be in good weather. The museum is pretty small but has artifacts from a wide range of the settlement of the area. The museum is closed on Wednesdays and doesn't open until 10AM. The lake is a busy area and might be good for a walk around.
