On our return journey from the Balaram Palace Resort, Chitrasani in Gujarat after driving almost 150 kms, we took our break to refresh at the Agora Mall which happens to be on the SP Ring Road that one has to mount to reach to NE1 i.e. Ahmedabad - Vadorara Expressway. The mall was deserted with only unoccupied shops, however the security informed that level 3 is bustling with visitors as it has Grand Cinemas and Food Court on the same level.
We ventured on to level 3 and were amazed to see the number of people flocking the floor. The food court did not attract us, however a kind gentleman directed us to "Masala County", an Indian cuisine restaurant. We ordered Yellow Dal and Nawabi Handi, wow it tasted as if it was just prepared in Lucknow and shipped on express delivery to Ahmedabad. The taste was authentic with aroma from Awadh and spices chosen right to tingle the taste buds. Yellow Dal had tadka that did not reflect on the surface as floating oil was missing in the preparation.
To add to the climax, the Shahi Tukda was just awesome. Qudsiya, my wife still remembers the taste of the shahi tukda. We enjoyed each bit of lasuni naan along with the cuisine and are craving to go back to Masala County to relish again. Till then, you Amdavadi's keep enjoying the food at the Masala County.
