If one wants to know and read about Indian history, one must visit the place definitely as there is a lot of detailing especially about Gandhi, there are newspaper cuttings, letters he received, letters he has written, etc. It takes one back to those days and realize the difficult times people of the country had to go during the British rule, Indians were not even treated as humans. Just to understand Gandhian history, good place put should have written about others as well. Part of the ashram is well maintained but the rear part has elements that need to be addressed as there were rowdy people sitting and playing cards, making noise, etc. and it needs to be taken care of on immediate basis. In the summer it is really hot and some form of airing needs to be provided especially for people who would like to spend some hours there and also a small cafe will be good, can do it up in the rear portion.
