“Perfect vacation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013

My wife and I decided on Lemon Tree after reading countless positive reviews about the place and we were delighted that all the reviews turned out right!!! Starting from the smooth check in to the personal welcome by Chef Vinayak at Dinner we right away decided that we were going to extend our stay... There are so many good things about this place that it is difficult to list them all , but the best thing is the staff who are friendly, polite and helpful to the max.... We will definitely be coming back ... and a Big thank you to Chef Vinayak and his team for making my wife's birthday a memorable one
... and wait I forgot to mention the pool with swim up bar .... it's awesome !!!

Let me start by saying that this was my second visit to the property. We were a group of friends who were looking to enjoy Goa during Monsoons. The Location of hotel is a bit far from madness around Baga, but is still firmly with-in North Goa. Over a period during my countless visits to Goa, I have found Candolim to be best place in North Goa. The beach there is cleaner than either Baga or Calungate. It is still near all the nice places in Baga and South Goa is closest as one can get from North Goa. Okay back to Hotel.

Let me start by saying that this is not a 'Beach Hotel'. There is small road from the back of hotel, 100m on which the beach starts. But then, again, there is really no proper beach hotels in North Goa. The location of hotel is close to Kingfisher Villa and Fort Aguada. As I mentioned that beach behind the hotel is quite clean and there are some good shacks there if one visits during season.
We arrived there around noon after a long drive and were warmly greeted with a refreshing drink. We were sharing a room and a very comfortable 3rd bed was provided in the room. We were also upgraded to Superior room. It was quite big (there was plenty of space, even with 3rd Bed). The bathroom was ok size and had a shower but no bath-tub. There was good water presssure in the bathroom. The TV was a flat screen and there was a DVD player provided. A decent selection of DVD's was available at the reception (free of charge). The TV also took in a USB input and we had a whale of time watching some movies we were carrying with us.

Service was very prompt. On numerous occasions, towels were promptly delivered to room. AC worked very well and provided sufficient cooling. The hotel has 2 restaurants. One is a Chinese restaurant and another is the Coffee Shop which we believe is 24 hrs. Buffet breakfast was served in coffee shop. There was a good selection of both Indian and international delicacies. There was also a live counter for egg based preparation and dosa based preparations. We never partook the lunch or dinner choosing to eat outside.
Hotel has a big pool, with lots of beds around it. We never had problem finding a bed but it can be due to the lean season we went in. It also has a pool bar. We also tried the spa, which was nothing great.

We specially liked that this hotel tries to give back to community as we found that it trains under-privileged or physically challenged people and provides them job opportunities.

I checked in the hotel on 2nd September, 2013 and checked out on 5th September, 2013 along with my family. The check in was smooth and though we had booked a Deluxe Room we were upgraded to Heritage Room no.151 which is located behind the main property and is just two minutes walking distance from the beach. The breakfast had a very vast variety of food and well planned cuisine right from South Indian, to continental. The dinner also had an elaborate menu. The personal attention given to each and every guest by Executive Chef Mr. Vinayak Bandodkar and his personal interaction is worth praising since he took extra pains to attend to taste buds of each and every guest. I really look forward to visit this place again and experience his personal hospitality.

The rooms are well kept and swimming pool and housekeeping is just great

This resort is in a good location in walking distance to many amenities, the staff is friendly and helpful. The room was clean and fresh. The modern but classy style was really pleasing to the eye. The only let down was the buffet, I would suggest to stick to the Indian food, as you are in India after all.

My wife and I had an Enjoyable stay at Lemon Tree Amarante Beach Resort Goa. The General Manager Mr. Anderson took a keen interest to make sure our stay was a Pleasant one. The Chef at Citrus Cafe Mr. Vinayak, was always around and very helpful with suggestions. The waiters especially Mr. Adam & Mr. Jonathan were very helpful and courteous. The room boy Mr. Ashok Kumar was very efficient, and we especially loved his creations done with towels. The maintenance boy, unfortunately I don't know his name sorted out what ever minor problems we faced quickly and efficiently. The front office staff was friendly, Courteous, efficient and very Helpful. The Pan Asian Restaurant is a must to dine at. We tasted the best Pan Asian food ever, at The Republic Of Noodles. The location is perfect, with the beach close by, a 5 minutes walk and two supermarkets within walking distance. Delfino's and Newtons. We had a lovely stay and will definitely visit again

Words fall short to describe the amount of happiness one experiences at this resort. I was there to celebrate my daughters first birthday with my family. The warmth one feels on entering this property is abundant. The decor is very pleasant. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. The highlight of the hotel is the amazing swimming pool. The staff are extremely courteous and helpful. The food quantity is in abundance with quality and choice one cannot complaint. I would surely like to recommend Lemon Tree Amarante Beach Resort to people visiting Goa.

Pricing of rooms is extremely attractive. Location is superb (Candolim). Restaurant is above average and serves Asian food. The pool is to die for - wow! Rooms are small over all so pick the Garden rooms or a suite. Cute boutique overall and I would highly recommend it for people in their 20s and 30s but not necessarily for families. No beach is a disadvantage.

Room Tip: Get a room by the pool and ask for a suite as the regular rooms are quite small.

We have noted your comments regarding the proximity to the beach. This resort is a midscale hotel and in line with international 3-4 star hotels.
