We stayed at this hotel over the Easter weekend, and must say that it went rather well.. Because the hotel is new, it has been done well, rooms are spacious, clean. The sliding cupboard is a nightmare to open and the wi-fi, even though compimentary, just doesn't work..
The room that we were allocated upon our arrival had defective AC, and the staff immediately shifted us to a new room. The staff was courteous to requests.
The breakfast was quite decent.. They had live dosa counter along with idli/wada with sambhar and chutneys.. Then, they had either paranthas or puri or bhatoore with aloo sabzi or chhole.. Then there was usual choice of breads, croissants, fresh fruits, juice, tea, coffee etc. I think they can certainly stock better quality yogurt.
We also tried the spa and found it to be strictly average. There are much better options available in Goa for same price.
The pool is clean and the pool-side is a pleasant experience.
All in all, it was a comfortable and headache-free stay..

Acacia Hotel, located at Candolim is the best at its locality. Not only price wise, but also the amenities. It is a very new hotel, with courteous staff. Not only compact, but it is the best for looking around the downtown around Candolim.
The beach is very close by. The spa, free wireless internet access and swimming pool with multi-cuisine restaurants are the main facilities.
The rooms are made to modern tastes and are fairly spacious!
Overall, we had a very good experience.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2014

I stayed at Acacia, Goa recently. It is indeed a spanking new property and is very well maintained. Hence adds on to the feel-good-factor.

Hotel: It is not a very big property but is very well designed. Really good, well-maintained and clean pool. Excellent, cosy room with 5 star standards. Room balcony / sit-out is also very good. Smiling and helpful staff all around. They serve Biotique products/toiletries which are very good.

Wi-Fi: We had a front Road facing room on 1st floor and Wi-Fi signal was very good everywhere in the room. Internet speed was fast too.

Location: Awesome. Only 5 minutes’ walk from Candolim beach (some excellent shacks to check out nearby). Market area is close with lots of shops and eateries.

Food: I tried the buffet breakfast which is excellent - Very good taste and enough variety – continental as well as Indian. I must complement the chef for choosing such good variety of food and changing it daily basis. Truly Amazing.

They have a spa which was operational. I did not try but it looked good. They will soon be coming up with a rooftop grill and a nightclub in basement.

The rooms are not sound proof. At times, some sounds from outside gallery / nearby temple chants do come in – though not much of a trouble.

One more thing I would like to mention here, though the hotel is not to be blamed completely for this: There is a taxi stand right outside hotel and the local taxi-drivers flock around as soon as one steps out of the hotel which is very annoying. At times, they walk up to the porch too asking for requirement of a taxi. Hotel authorities do not seem to be doing much about this (may be they cannot). Some of the hotel staff (waiters/guards) seemed to be friends with those local taxi-stand guys to let them know when there is a guest check-in / check-out. I also heard from nearby people that if one wants to hire a non-cab car in Goa (it is kind of a norm there), these taxi-stand drivers complain to the authorities and do not let that happen easily.

But, all in all, a very good stay. I definitely recommend and will stay again here.

Note: An excellent cab service in Goa to take service from is - http://www.goantaxiservice.com/ Very reasonable prices and good quality cars without any haggling / hassle. I Googled for a taxi service in Goa and luckily found it.

Room Tip: Choose a front road facing room on higher floor.
