We returned to Whispering Palms Beach Resort, Candolim for the fourth time, and this time it had been completly re-vamped, and WOW hat a transformation. The whole place looks fab. New reception, new toilets, bigger better kitchen, lovely terrace resteraunt, better pool, new sun beds, nice new better upstairs bar with sun deck and a lovely new feel all around. All the bedrooms have been upgraded, new mattresses and a nice new look. Its just fantastic. Jacob John you really are a lucky man, you have one of the nicest hotels in Candolim and the very best staff, they really are a dream to come back and meet again year after year. We just love you all and regard everyone of you as our own personel friends and we miss you all very much, just cant wait for next year to see you all again. Please dont ever change what you are doing as you ALL do it so well, and Jacob to you personally, THANKYOU xxx David & Debbie Lister

Got back on 23 Jan 2013 after 3 weeks at Whispering Palms, our first visit to India. Thanks goodness we kept an open mind after reading some of the reviews, we thought they must be talking about another hotel when we got there. We had a wonderful time, the staff from the gardeners, cleaners, waiters and admin staff were all charming and really wanted us to enjoy our holiday. There were some complaints about food, should have more European choices. There were always at least two or three such dishes and a fantastic selection of Indian dishes. There are also snacks served out side of main meals, and those who wish can fill up on chips, toasted sandwiches, burgers and a variety of other goodies. So if that is not enough you can always go to one of the great many super restaurants, in the area where you will get the best steaks, fish, ribs and even pies with mushy peas for less than £3-4. For goodness sake why travel all that way to eat what you have at home. Give it all a try. The hotel was kept very clean. They take great care to ensure fly's and mosquitos are kept to an absolute minimum, which was most unexpected. To be able to eat dinner outside with out having to share it with the usual pests was much better than at home. Have fun with the local shop owners, they are great and love you to have a look at what they have, but accept it when you don't want to buy. If you have broken jewellery take it with you and get it fixed, or made into something else for a fraction of the price here. I had ear rings made from an old necklace, with 2 pearls added to each for £15 (first jewellers on the right out of the gate of the hotel going up to main road). also had a small diamond replaced and repair to white gold shoulders of a diamond ring plus a gold chain mended for £30. That was Rock Inn on the main road on the left just before the hospital. You will be offered a trip to the water falls, unless you feel it is a 'must see', and are fully fit, with good shoes DONT TRY IT. You will have a long trip of about 2 hours to get there, then 40 mins in a land rover which will leave you very bruised and with a headache from bouncing off the roof, then a 20 min clamber over enormous boulders which are very slippery when wet, you can then swim if you are able to.
The beach is very close to the hotel and the sand is wonderful. Lots and lots of shacks for drinks and food, you will be surprised at just how cheap and good the food is. We went to the left and walked down to the quieter end and went to Monika's shack, try their toasted sandwich and onion bhajis, their sun beds are also free, but will expect you to buy a drink, soft drinks from 30rps beers from about 50rps. traveling around is very cheap by taxi, but make sure you get the price before you get in. One thing that is a must is the Saturday night market, lots of noise but the music is fantastic, wonderful atmosphere and again excellent food of all sorts from the stalls.

I hope you are as lucky as we were with our fellow guests. We had a fantastic mix of people who made our holiday wonderful.
Make the most of a great hotel and wonderful climate and have a great holiday.

My husband and I stayed in this resort for 4 nights. The fact that I am spending time to write this detailed review simply reflects how much we loved our stay here. Their hospitality was such that we felt like being treated and pampored like special guests!!

The best part of out stay here was evening live events by the pool. To us, there was nothing better than returning to our own resort by 8 or 9 pm and enjoying the music, dance and other performances with the dinner. The whole atmosphere was so relaxing and romantic.

We enjoyed our stay so much that we wanted to extend the stay here for another 3 nights (tells you the real story, I guess!) but as it was fully booked, we shifted to a hotel right opposite to it. Funny enough we still returned every evening to this resort to have our dinner and enjoy the live music!!! staffs loved us and we loved them!

our hearts fill with joy when we remember the moment we heard our names being announced for a surprise gift (sparkling wine bottle) for our 5 min couple dance on a lovely romantic live song/music!!

We would like to extend our greetings to all the staffs working here. Some of them are under training and some of them have experience of five star hotels but truly they were all a star! They have made us feel as if we now have a holiday home in Goa!! Thanks.

whispering palms is located 100 meters away from candolim beach. It is a very nice location in north goa easily acceble to calangute and other areas in north goa.Hotel has almost all amenities but is poorly maintained. Pool was dirty and jaccuzi was dirtier. Rooms were also not upto the mark. We went there in month of may when it was the rainy season the hotel was offering great deals and was almost full but were falling short on all expectation.Food was oridanary and presentation was ok.

Staff was courtious but lacked finnace.

I would recommend it fot location and candolim beach which is a nice clean beach in north goa.

Room Tip: Prefer a ground floor room as you might end up carrying your own luggage

Dear Mr Manish,

Warm greetings from The Whispering Palms Beach Resort Goa!

At the onset , i am deeply disheartened to learn that you did have a pleasant stay with us and we were not able to deliver a memorable holiday experience to you. We have noticed that you mentioned you stayed with us in the month of May, our resort especially the pool area and some of the rooms around the pool, was under renovation at this point and was shut down, we however had made arrangements for our guests at the next door resort for the usage of the pool.

Let me assure you that our poolside and jacuzzi is functional and our resort is revamped sice then and totally a new product, We have revamped our restaurant areas, the bars and added on a new spa and activity center.

Once again, Thank you for your feedback and my team and I do hope to have another opportunity to serve you and be able to meet your expectations and also to show you the difference your feedback has made.

Warm Regards

Jacob John

Went for full family holiday to GOA, really nice resort with all facilities in house, children friendly atmosphere, great food, had a very good time with my entire family of 14 people !!! The swimming pool helps you relax and a safer place for kids to enjoy. Every evening there was good live music played in the lounge, which really helped me unwind after a long and tiring day's trip to the beach etc.

Room Tip: Go for the new section !!!

In January 2013, two weeks went so fast that tv was whole time closed. Interesting country, clean hotel and a peaceful, beautiful beach. Very friendly staff, especially greetings for Tito. A lot of seeing and new experiences. All services was quite near and well available, even Panji was easy to find and traveling is cheap and it works. Tuk-tuk, taxi and bus are all ok. Food is basicly too hot, not too spicy but very hot. Otherwise food was good and diverse.

Room Tip: Corner room is good in higher floors and A/C is necessary.

Arrived on 3rd January 2013 for two week stay. Didn't know what to expect but any doubts were quickly dispelled. You cannot meet a more friendly bunch of staff. Rooms cleaned on a daily basis with fresh towels and bedding changed every two days. Could not fault the food something for everyone but would like to see a few more English dishes. Entertainment every night. All in all a fantastic experience, in a very well run environment. Big thanks to all the staff who made us feel so welcome. Thankyou.

Room Tip: Personally prefer ground floor room as you get your own little terrace with sun beds.
