“perfect little hideaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2012

This was our 6th visit to Goa and i have to say ive found a wee gem. The owners Santana and Theresa are the perfect hosts. Always willing to help . Situated up a narrow lane towards Pretty Petals. Accessable from other way by coming around the back of Rising Waves.
3 AC rooms above the exellent restaurant and 3 non ac in another block behind the main one. We had room 2 with the ac overlooking next doors garden. Large lounge with seperate bedroom and wetroom. Tv and fridge included. Room cleaned every day with towels and linen provided. We normally eat outevery night and try to go to as many different places as possible but we had dinner here 3 times in our 2 week stay. Food was excellent and there was a varied menu to choose from. Teresa's homemade Baileys just rounded the night off perfectly. I hope to go back next year to Goa and this will be my first port off call for a booking. I just hope they can fit us in.
I have only 1 small complaint and its nothing to do with the Moonlight. Its the dogs that kept us awake on a couple off occasions with there barking. Water pistols at the ready for next year !

Room Tip: any of the 3 rooms above the restaurant

We have been going to Goa for over 15 years. Stayed at the Moonlight for a month in Feb/March 2012 Just wish we had found this place sooner. Although we had eaten here many times over the years (great food) we never gave a thought to staying there. Santana and Theresa are the perfect hosts nothing to much trouble. Room very peaceful and clean. Can't wait to go back.

We stayed at Moonlight for the second week of our holiday, and can't say enough about how wonderful Santana and Theresa are - the perfect hosts! Nothing was too much trouble for them and we were truly made to feel like part of the family. Our room was large and comfortable, and cleaned every day whilst we were at breakfast. The location is ideal, a 10 minute walk to the beach in one direction, and 5 minutes into the town in the other direction. It's down a side street so nice and peaceful.

The food in the restaurant is superb, with a lot of choice, I can highly recommend the pork Sorpatel, and the tiger prawns we had one night were out of this world (and massive!).

We couldn't ask for anything more from our stay, and will definitely be staying at Moonlight again!

Placed in a very hushed locale with the sounds of birds chirping always at your company, you will love the solitude you will find here. I and my spouse had an amazing short stay at this nice-n-cosy place in Candolim.

The rooms are naturally airy and fresh with a nice sunny balcony and were kept spotlessly clean by a very able house-keeping staff who cleaned the rooms on a daily basis. The room we stayed in was equipped with a relatively new split a/c, fridge and a TV set.

The location of this guest house is very convenient as the main road is on one side and the beach on the other. Both are just on about a 5-7 minute walking distance.
The owners Santana & Theresa take great care of you without being intrusive. They are always ready to help with the right suggestions. With a very nice sense of humour, Santana manages the restaurant very pro-actively.

The food at the restaurant is nice and authentic Goan with a very good variety of continental available on the menu.

Overall it was a delightful experience and would love to go back for our next stay.

Thank you Santana, now we can with a smile say that we have a new friend in that part of the world.

Cheers!

Room Tip: Im sure Santana will keep the best room available for you, just ask him while booking.

I have travelled to India with friends since the death of my husband in 2006. I sometimes stay with \santana and Theresa on my own so that I have space to do my own thing and not be a burden to my friends. It is a lovely place to stay, rooms are clean. The food is fabulous and the welcome as warm as the Goan sunshine. GIVE IT A TRY YOU WONT REGRET IT!

Room Tip: ask santana about his recent refurbishments

We would like to thank Santana and Theresa for a wonderful week.
The rooms are excellent and spotlessly clean. We has breakfast here every day and also some evening meals, all were very good. Anything we asked for was attended to imediately. We would highly reccomend this Guest house as both excellent quality and superb value for money. We hope to return again on our nest visit to Goa. Would also like to mention Antonios beach shack run by Santanas brother John which we used every day and found to be very good.

Room Tip: Room with street view has a nice balcony
