“Loveley Fish and Chips”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

Tonys place gives a warm welcome and good food , we had a very nice fish chips and mushy peas (proper green mushy peas not the yellow split peas some use) my friend had a goan beef stew and said it was excellent, waiters and manager are smiling and helpful , competative prices, portions on the small side , a bigger fish , few more chips and a extra spoon of mushys would be perfect, Went to tonys a couple of times for a plain meal when spiced out, enjoyed by us all, just could have done with bigger portions for the guys. Recommended.

“Good food, good service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2013

We always eat at Tony's a few times during our holiday.

My OH likes the fish dishes (in garlic, in white wine sauce, poached fish etc) and although we find the portions aren't huge, that suits his appetite.

I like the fish, chips and mushy peas as a change from more spicy food.
The veg noodles were excellent.

We did have a little problem with one of the dishes we ordered but Tony came over, sorted it out, apologised profusely and wouldn't charge us for any of the food.
It was just a one-off as I'd had the same dish before and it was delicious, so that didn't put us off returning.

Service is good, even when they are busy and the staff are very pleasant.

“Very poor”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2013

With friends we went to Tony's Place to have fish and chips (on the recommendation of other guests)

We found the food to be very poor. The service was non existant .The tables were all very close
and uncomfortable

We will not be going again. However the restaurant does always appear full.

“Don't know why we have never been before but will definitely return”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013 via mobile

I think reason we've never tried here in the past was that various people have recommended it for their Fish and Chips which I never fancy in Goa. However after one of our friends raved about his Vindaloo there we decided to give it a try. I wish we had went earlier in the holiday instead ofthe end as my Vindaloo and OH steak were delicious. The place was really busy noticed most people were eating the fish and chips so they must be good.
