Otter Creek Tents are three exclusive, comfortable tents in the most idyllic setting. All three tents face a river, which runs parallel to a more or less deserted beach. Each tent has a double four-poster bed, and is well appointed with a writing desk, chair, fan, safety box and an en suite bathroom with wc and hot water shower. Each tent also has its own sit-out area and a bamboo jetty, over the river.
There is also an outdoor area where meals are served (we had breakfast there two of our three nights)and hammocks for lazing around in. Water buffalos are often seen wandering/grazing in the grounds.
To get to Otters Creek you have to walk the last 500m between a couple of village houses across a bamboo footbridge and along a sandy track, which adds to the experience.
The beach is about a two minute walk across the sand dunes, and the nearest beach restaurant (Oscars - recommended) about 5 minutes down the beach to the right. If you don't mind a 15-30 minute walk along the beach (either way) there are a choice of beach restaurants.
The staff at Otters Creek will arrange taxis for you if you want to go exploring - we would recommend Arambol for a visit - good choice of restaurants, good shopping and a nice beach.
If you are looking for a something very different, peaceful and tranquil, Otter Creek Tents are just the ticket so to speak.
