Owner description: On the fort side of Diu town is the island's last remaining fully-functional church, St Paul's. Completed in 1610, the church has an excellent baroque facade and a very fine selection of wooden panelling and furniture inside, including an extravagantly carved 400 year old pulpit.

“Worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2014

Enjoyed my visit here. The woodwork is interesting highlighting the Portuguese construction. The place overall is peaceful and worth spending a quite moment.
You might want to combine the visit with Diu Museum as they are close by. But bear in mind that the museum closes by 5:30 and the church by 6:00.

“Great Woodwork”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2013

I went there in the evening, it was closed. It looked impressive on outside so I returned in the morning hours when it was open. It is a grand old church said to be built by the Portuguese in 17th century. The woodwork inside is great and worth the visit.
Like all the historic attraction in Diu, it can be there is lot that can be improved upon on maintenance and curating.

Nice way to begin your stay. You can go here. Will take hardly 10-15 minutes of yours. Not very far off from Diu City.
