“Fun for the whole family”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013

Sledding at White Sands is fun for everyone. The park is nicely set up and has many different things to do so be sure to check out the site. We are looking forward to going back on a full moon and sledding at night.

Get a sled, some wax and hit the sand!

“Worth the drive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

We came to New Mexico to play in the snow, but I have to say playing in the sand was the kids' favorite part of the trip. It is what it sounds like, a ton of white sand. Rent a sled and go to town. Just remember to bring water, bring water, bring water. It was not warm at all when we went, but it is still very dry and we went through a ton of water.

“Scenic and Fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

We went with a 10 year old, 11 year old, and 15 year old. Everybody had a lot of fun climbing up the sand dunes and then sledding down again. There was very nice scenery and it was a great place to just enjoy the landscape. It was very hot, so I would recommend wearing light clothing, hats, putting on sunscreen, and bringing bottles of water. if you're in the area, this is definitely worth a visit!

“A wonderful park to visit, especially with children”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

When you are in Alamogordo you have to visit this National Monument. There are interesting trails to do with little ones and the sun set is just fantastic. Just make sure to check for opening times as it can be closed due to missile testing on the adjacent White Sands Missile Range.
