Owner description: Next to city centre, in Sector 16 is situated Zakir Hussain Rose Garden Asia's largest Rose Garden and is spreaded over 30 acres of land having over 1600 different species or roses. These have been planted beautifully carved out lawns and flowers beds. Like the cultural zone which is just across the road in sector 10,this was also planned by Dr. M.S. Randhawa as his interest in horticulture and fondness for flowers was profuse.

“Beautiful but crowded”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2011

its a nice place but filled with cheap couples...sitting everywhere and making it difficult for other people to come and enjoy with family... U can see atleast 1 ugly couple in every corner and idle people coming specialy to stare at them...

“Not many Roses”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2011

Went there in December with my wife after our wedding in India. What I will say is that it was a nice place to spend time & just walk around in what to a certain degree is just an average park. There weren't actually many roses & there was loads of work going on when we went.

Overall not worth the trip.

“if you love flowers, then this is the place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2009

Roses of all colors, beautiful trees flowing with colorful blossoms, numerous other flowering plants. There are several pathways that wind in and around the gardens. You can find many sitting benches or just sit on the grass. It's romantic and relaxing, a great place for reflection. Rose enthusiasts and photographers will be overwhelmed with the hundreds of varieties of colorful roses. We tried to make this a daily experience as we walked around the northern sectors of Chandigarh. It was delightful every day for the 10 days we were visiting.
