“stay ok..food very good”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

we stayed at this hotel for a day in first week of january. Location wise it is close to railway station and RK Beach. Hotel looks quite old. Walls show seepage, furniture is all dusty. Despite cleaning the floor it looks dirty. Bathrooms are ok contains basic toiletries, some even have bath tubs, though towels are of white color but looks grey. Staff is also helpful but keeps on asking for tips in a subtle way. They serve very good tasty south Indian food. Restaurant staff is courteous. But there is long waiting during dinner and lunch. Probably because of the restaurant capacity is less than the hotel. There is some construction work going on beside the hotel and the noises will be there till 8 in the night. So sleeping is out of question. It is a decent budget hotel if one wants to stay for a day or two.

The Hotel was at fine location. The rates are fine. The rooms are good and accommodating. The staff is helpful. The bathrooms are little bit small which they need to work out. The gadgets in the bathroom are awesome and you enjoy them. The laundry service is really nice and cheap compared to other hotels. The hotel gives you complementary fruit basket also which is an addition. The hotel has two-three restaurants and the food is good. Overall, the stay was very nice.

Room Tip: Take room on Second floor. The rooms are recently renovated

Selected this hotel from makemytrip.com based on rating and price which was about Rs. 1800.00 per night including taxes and breakfast. To start with, the hotel badly needs reovation. Sofas in the reception area were really dirty, the floor passage leading to the rooms was very dark, dimly lit very dingy had moisture seepage patches all over paint peeling off idea location for Dr Fixit ad..!!

Room was even bigger disaster..to start with there was no flush so WC had to be flushed manually!! I mean these people charging 1800 bucks a night and we have to put up with s#|\% like this!! The towel was supposed to be white in color but seemed straight out of muddy water.

The furniture - beds, sofa set, study table were extremely worn looked straight out of a house which had submerged in rain water. Again moisture seepages could be seen everywhere in the room.

Earlier I stayed at a place called Dwarka Inn this time with the intention of upgrading the hotel opted for relatively expensive hotel but then was thoroughly disappointed. Dwarka Inn comes with a price tag of 1100 bucks a night but is much better than this. Best Western with a little bit of bargaining comes with similar price tab of about 1900 bucks a night should have opted for that...!!

We did plan a weekend trip to Vizag (Fri Evening fly in and Mon Morning fly out). Saturday we did day trip to Tyda, Ananthagiri, Bora Caves and Araku and Sunday we did Vizag local. We took the Club House Suite - these rooms are brand new with all luxury amenities and you can enjoy a 3 star facility at a decent price. Breakfast was complimentary with wide spread of choices of fruits, serials, south indian dishes and toast (though as a bengali I would have loved to have something non-veg). Rooms are fitted with LCD TV, Water Heater/coffe maker, complimentary fruit busket refilled daily, Freeze. Washroom is spacious with all latest trendy setting. Room Service is excllent and hotel staff is courtesious. They have one non-veg restaurant and bar which serves good south indian and decent north indian dishes. Overall very satisfied with the place.

Room Tip: Go for Club House only if you can afford. Did not check the other rooms though but heard those are o...
