“A worthwhile experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Came to Hyderabad for a national conference and stayed at Red Fox. The hotel had superb menu and the services were excellent. The staff were courteous, smart and friendly. The overall stay was very good and it really was a worthwhile experience.

The hotel is situated in excellent location, if you are planing for a business trip for nearby IT office. Room was spacious, service was really good expect one occasion, which later confirmed due to some technical issue.
However, I am little bit disappointed for the amenities provided. As mainly working as a business hotel, people would expect free broadband (or at least with reasonable price) which they were unable to provide. If they are concerned about misuse (read overuse) of the free service they should limit the daily use by the amount of data used (like 300 mb per day) and definitely not by limiting by time.
As well as the channels in the TV satellite provider was not sufficient. While we are in the age of 200 to 300 available channels, they are able to provide only 40-45 channels and most of them are of a category which normally people do not watch. My case the main problem was not having even a single dedicated sports channel.
Expect those two generic problem, I found the hotel very good. They have excellent service and they really try to make up to your expectations.

I recently stayed here for a night while visiting Hyderabad. The stay was arranged by the company I was interviewing with so I wouldn't be able to comment on the room rates. But I am aware that Red fox is targeted at the Budget business traveler segment.

Room & amenities: A spacious 1 bedroom layout: a hall with a Sofa, center table & 42in LCD with DVD player, and a bedroom with a lounge sofa, desk & another 42in LCD. Very comfortable bed with a just-right mattress, neither too soft nor too firm. Tee/coffee maker, bottled water, mini bar, electronic safe. Bathrooms had hot water, soap, handwash and shampoo provided. Decent towels, Tasteful minimal decor with maple wood.

They claim to keep wastage (and prices) in check by doing two things differently. I think this trend is Win-Win for both the hotel and customers, especially considering the target segment.
a. Shared resources: There are common facilities available on every floor, where one can walk-up to use these. This is very similar to how things are in business hotels in developed countries. Examples: Ice cubes, ironing board
b. Extras for a price: some extras are available for an add-on price, which is nominal. Examples: replenishment of extra tea/coffee supplies for 50 bucks, shaving kit for 28 bucks etc. There is a vending machine in the lobby where you can pickup sanely-priced drinks.

Location: it's in Hitec city so people visiting offices in this area can save on commute. There are a lot of restaurants within 5 min walking distance. Lemon Tree, next door, has 2-3 restaurants too. Ohri group restaurants (Rubaiyat, Nautanki Gali) are a block away, in the Cyber Pearl building. And the famous Paradise Biryani is two blocks away.

Breakfast: They had a decent spread with both Indian and continental options, and service was good. Their filter coffee is good :)

There are just two things which I think could be better, which is why I didn't give it a 5 star rating:
1. Wifi: they provide two slots of 30mins free Wifi every day. Beyond that, wifi is paid. But they allow for 4 concurrent devices, so you don't have to juggle the Wifi between your devices. But for a business hotel, free Wifi is something which is expected.
2. The decor in hallways has these jokes put up which I thought were a little childish and a tad sexist. They would do fine in a casual restaurant or in a hostel, but it seemed out of place in a business hotel.

I have heard they provide employment to the differently abled in their hotels, which is also appreciable.

Compared to Ginger:
1. Bigger rooms
2. Decor has more character
3. Larger common spaces, so doesn't seem as crowded as Ginger hotels do
4. Larger LCDs, the room I stayed in had 2

Room Tip: I stayed in 607 (Lucky number 13) on the 6th floor which was a corner room.

I stayed in this hotel in Aug 2014 while i was on a business trip to Hyderabad. The hotel has modern decor, comfortable and spacious rooms. The hotel staff is warm and helpful. The breakfast spread was decent and food was good. I would recommend to stay in the hotel.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 months when I joined my first job and it was a grand experience. The service, the amenities, especially the WiFi and everything else was absolutely great. The people working here are extremely helpful and very humble. Its a real value for money place. The rooms are generously built. The only time I faced any discomfort was with a guy down at the dining area of the hotel (Mezzanine) but that was probably because of some personal problems. Apart from that person in particular everyone else was absolutely amazing. I would like to particularly mention Prakash, John and Aslam at the front desk who are very accommodating. Thank you for a great experience Red Fox. Hoping to visit again soon.

Room Tip: Ask for help from the people mentioned in the post for locating a room of your liking.

I was staying in room 209 for 4 weeks in August 2014. The hotel served as an epitome of economy hotels - maintained really well, clean and gives a welcoming feeling.

The front desk team (Prakash, Joginder, Mallesh, Gobind, Aslam, John, Shrinivas, Raja, Yogesh & Venkatash) provided a 24x7 support, be it making sure of timely cabs to office, check-in, check-out and welcoming every time with a smile on their face. They were swift in getting the requests at hand completed ASAP.

The housekeeping staff team (Rakesh, Manoj, Dilip, Ranjith, Shrinivas, Joginder, Satish, Krishna and Mukesh) were well trained in keeping the rooms clean. Every evening I was entering a room as clean as my day 1. A very responsive team overall.

Food at Cleverfox Cafe was good enough for a economy hotel buffet and was served by experienced staff member team (Hemanth, Laksham, Mamatha, Sidhi, Upendhar, Mosseen, Milan, Vaishalini, Naga, Naidu, Charan and others). They respected special requests and made sure they were catered to well within expected time.

It was nice to see LemonTrees initiative to provide opportunity to challenged people (couldn't speak or hear) to work at the hotels, especially Sidhi, Ranjith, Srinivas, Vaishalini. They were very humble and graceful and gave it in their best, serving with upmost willingness.

Cab service was always on time and cabs quality was great.

Overall, I was made to feel at home and you must have realized that by the number of names I mentioned above. They took care of me as family and not any guest. I highly appreciate each of their efforts.

Kudos to the GMs who are managing the staff so well and keeping them motivated throughout.

Anyone looking for a good, worth-the-money hotel, I would recommend people to try this hotel in the economy hotel category.

Room Tip: Higher floor rooms and front facing rooms (eg 209) for a good view. More spacious too.

Staff was friendly.Room service was also pretty good.

Overall,a good hotel. Will defitely stay there again,if I have work at HICC/Hitec city.
