My wife and I went to the Prego yesterday to celebrate an occasion. We had gone there once before but didn't have a good experience that day. So we thought of giving another try yesterday. And I must say that we have a nice time. The food, ambiance and service were all up to the mark.
We did not order any soup or starter but straight away went to the main course. We ordered "polenta cake mixed with bocconcini and ratatouille" and four cheese pizza. Both the dishes were pretty well made. However, for pizza lovers, I would recommend Ista or Little Italy. Prego pizza though good doesn't come anywhere close to theirs. Same can be said for the pastas as well. For drinks we ordered passion fruit fizz and lomi lomi. Both were good, though I was disappointed with lomi lomi as it was made in crushed ice which sort of spoiled the taste.
For dessert we ordered warm chocolate fudge cake with vanilla ice-cream, which I think was the best of all. It takes some time for the chef to prepare but I must add that it was made just right. The ambiance, decor is good and one feels comfortable and relaxed. The staff is courteous and polite.
On price, I would say that it is slightly on the steep side. The place is not that much of a value for money as you probably get better food at Little Italy, Ista or Via Milano. But still, the overall experience is good.
