“good hotel within the city”

i had stayed three times in this hotel. It is little over prices with the quality and ambience it has got. But the best part of this property is its location which makes it desirable. The entry is very thin and seems really difficult how they manage in and out of the cars. You need to wait in your car even if one car is waiting for some guest or luggage. I haven't seen thinner and awkward entry than this hotel. Room size is just ok...service is bad but still tolerable. The basic problem is most of the time there is some program in the banquet above...because of that the service becomes poor. There is lot of movement in the hotel during that period... this hotel is made like that. The restaurant and break fast place is same and very small. still it serves the purpose. Generally you do not get the thing you asked till almost you finish your meal. The roti service is really poor. With all ifs and buts i feel its location is important and on service part it is tolerable.

Room Tip: do not take the top floors near the banquet hall

I checked in on the 12th of March till the 14th of March 2015 into 2 rooms. We were a group of 4 ladies and 3 of them were elderly. We had arranged for airport pick-up & drop-off which was good and prompt, so no problems here. Check in was reasonably fast so we didn't have to wait too long in the unlit lobby. They have this huge chandelier in the lobby but during my 3 days there, it was only turned on twice for short periods of time. Without the chandelier the lobby is dark and it is very uncomfortable on the eyes.

Most of our problems started when we made it to the rooms. The first room had fixtures that were falling off, rooms that weren't clean thoroughly, no towels and the tv wasn't working. When we asked for towels it took them almost 40mins to deliver. Complimentary water bottles also weren't provided in the room. You practically have to ask them for everything and they bring it 1 by 1. So just wait at the door as they give you the towels and then go for 30mins to find the water bottles and another 30mins to get you soap and tissue. The 2nd room was better as it didn't have fixtures coming loose but was still equally dusty. Serive was terrible throughout the stay mostly because it was ridiculously slow.

Breakfast was terrible. The so called tomato juice was a sad blob and when you try to pour it out it will come out a semi liquid lump, utterly disgusting. Complained to the breakfast duty manager but it was the same case the next day. Their staff is untrained and take forever to anything. They won't clean the table immediately after someone leaves so they'll have dirty tables all the time - unsightly. You can order omelette and dosas, that was what we ate the 3days there as everything else seemed unhygienic esp the Western Selection. The pastries look like they have been there for days and when I complained to them that the pastries were too hard the manager told me it was because they don't use butter. They use oil to make the pastries, a totally unacceptable answer. The toaster went missing on the second day but then magically appeared after 30mins. They had taken the toaster to a conference buffet so leaving the breakfast buffet guests without a toaster. Toaster must be expensive as the Hotel could only afford one.

Upon my checkout I was approached by the manager (unfortunately I can't recall his name) and i did highlight all the trials of my stay with them. He did mention they will improve and asked to re-consider staying with them again. Unfortunately it is definitely a big no. I am a seasoned traveller in India and I know what to expect but this was just a terrible disaster. I would not return as I don't think the price paid is anywhere near the service given. This should be rated a 2star property at the best.

Room Tip: Don't pick a room here at all.

hotel is at par with European and american hotel,i am an elderly person and i was very comfortable during my stay and i dint feel any loneliness due to staff friendliness,
reception staff is excellent they provided every possible help with satisfaction mainly ,food is excellent,restaurant staff is also very attentive who provides quick and excellent service ,rooms are very comfortable Ambiance of the hotel is also awesome .overall staff services are excellent and i recommend any perspective visitor without reservation to try at least once and they will get full satisfaction ,charges are so reasonable,
most important staff i liked was
manager Aziz and Reshma are very friendly and co operative and devoted employ and i wish them every success in their future life ..

This hotel is value for money, very convenient for business, shopping and restaurants. Very clean, Rooms are neat, clean and tidy well maintained.

Complimentary spread of south indian, continental, Italian, buffet breakfast.
Neatly dressed, polite and well mannered staff above all the Duty Manager Azeez is soft spoken, very professional, very helpfull and goes out of the way to please the guests.

Standard business hotel, quite unfriendly staff (we were early and they tried to charge a half day extra). payment was difficult. Breakfast fine, location OK, in the middle of Abdis.
The hotel is a former Mercure, it seems they are still misusing the brand from time to time. This is not a MERCURE, different ball game!

We booked 2 rooms for our family 4 adult and 3 child.The Amount we paid for the rooms is very cheap. Especially the buffet food is very delicious and fully satisfied.Rooms are very neat and maintaining well. We referred to my friends and relatives to stay only in Hotel royalton is the Best.And also hotel is nearby to all the important places.

booked 2 rooms for 4 of my family and stayed for 2 days. value for money in all aspects particularly rooms are good and courteous service from staff and at reception.locatd near hyderabad railway station and abids which is a good shopping area
