“Small rooms”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2014

the hotel is a good option to stay in the vast ramoji property but the rooms of hotel tara are crampled.if you are staying with a kid,it becomes really uncomfortable to stay.the wash area is also very small and congested.the rooms are not at all value for the money charged by them.
the buffet breakfast though offers a good choice for all the foodies.the restaurent has a nice rustic feeling.

We stayed here for 1 night 2 days.(5th,6th Jan)
Hotel is adjacent to the luxury hotel - Sitara. Hotel Tara is a budget hotel as compared to Sitara. But we were happy with the service offered at Tara.

We had booked a package during the new year carnival celebration period. It included 1 night stay, breakfast, dinner, guided tour of RFC.
It was a fantastic experience. The hotel is very good. The room was small but neat and clean. Linen, toilet kit provided was of good quality.
The shower closet in the bathroom was very good. Room service was also good. The staff was very helpful, cheerful and polite.
They helped us plan our RFC tour in an efficient way. They were always there to arrange pick up/drop during the guided tour so that we won't miss anything
during the RFC tour.
Breakfast was excellent. We took lunch at their restaurant once and it was good, but a bit costly.
Hotel Staff had arranged a nice cake with candles at night in our room since it was our wedding anniversary. It was a pleasant surprise for us.
The gala dinner was tasty and had lots of variety. Nice orchestra was played in the background. They had also arranged games to entertain the kids.

Overall a very good experience. RFC is very far from the Hyderabad city. Since there are only two options for stay within RFC, Tara is the best considering the budget and service offered.
Staying in a hotel at RFC will definitely save your travel time and you can utilise it to explore RFC in a better way.

Stayed in this hotel during a marriage ceremony hence can not write about food etc. as it was handled by the host. However what I liked about this hotel was the attitude of their staff. All of them were very polite, always smiling, eager to serve. Check in and out was fast and smooth. Stayed in their 6th floor room which was small but neat and clean, well furnished.Housekeeping was perfect. Linen and towel were clean and crisp.Big 32" TV with very clear cable connection and sufficient channels. Noise free AC and very sound sleep quality.Bathroom was also clean though separate shower partition was bit small.Room service was also very prompt. All our requests were responded quickly and with a smile. Some of the other guests who were staying in the other hotel SITARA told us that the rooms in this hotel were even better than Sitara. It was informed that the 4th floor upwards rooms of TARA were new addition hence much better than the lower floor rooms and even better than Sitara hotel which is much more expensive than TARA. Overall a 8/10

I spend two days one night at hotel tara in ramoji city, hyderabad; i must confess that I have never seen such professional and helping (at the same time) staff as I have seen in hotel Tara. Staff is eager to help you about the tour programme of ramoji city, forthcoming to work out your schedule of the stay and travel. Hotel is neat and clean, and offers good food. Though there is no bar there, but bar in adjacent hotel, hotel Sitara is accessible.

Room Tip: all the rooms are good, so no specific choice required.

Stayed for a day in this hotel to save travelling back from RFC in the evening.
The rooms are very small and the entire hotel seems very old and bit gloomy.
The restaurant that they have serves good food but is overpriced. For one chapati we paid 70 rupees!!!
For a hotel like this it is very overpriced.
Also breakfast and dinner was part of the package but had a very limited spread.
For dinner we had to go to the Sitara hotel next door. There were only three non veg items! Food was ok. The breakfast was also ok.

Wonderful stay . The hotel is within an hour from the airport through the express highway .Its inside the huge Ramoji Film City (RFC)campus hence you need to pass through couple of security checks before you reach the hotel ,keeping your booking no.handy helps here as security may ask .They have a small but descent lobby ,check-in didn't take much time for us . As we were 4 (2 adults & 2 children -both below 8) they had arranged a room with kingsize bed for us .The room was small but clean ,has a 32 inch LCD TV ,mini bar & a clean bathroom .The reception would arrange for a 45 minutes tour of RFC & also suggest you in detail(on paper) to visit specific attractions based on the time available with you.If you have enough time with you & kids accompanying(if any) are old enough to walk ,you may like to walk to RFC as the starting point (Mughal Garden) is hardly 200m from the hotel & you may find some shooting happening in this part (as we did). Out of the attractions ,we found 'Spirit of Ramoji' to be quite good ,the children should like the rides .Coming back to the hotel ,the restaurent is quite quite good in terms of food (I'm a Veg.)& service although increase in the no. of dishes would help(not sure if this was due to off-season).They took special care of our children .In the evening we went to Sitara hotel(100/150 meters from Tara) for Tambola & magic show, children liked it. Btw we saw the rooms at Sitara hotel too & felt we were not missing much. Overall ,we had a good time in RFC .I would suggest anybody to stay here atleast for 2 nights if you intend to cover RFC at leisure .

Room Tip: Rooms at higher floors should have a better view ,although all face East & get sunlight in the m...

I stayed at Tara hotel with my family recently and was really impressed with the service and hospitality of the hotel staff. They took care of the special requirements of my kids as requested. The food was good. The rooms are clean but very small. The hotel shares the swimming pool with neighboring Sitara hotel.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms facing the road; in case there is a night party in the lawns opposite to hotel, it can b...
