“Good Neat for two night stay in budget category.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2013

I had visited this holel on Jan 2013.
Had a good stay.
I loved the breakfast.
The good part about the staff is they provided me breakfast before their actual time since I had to leave early.( My tour operator Helped me to request them).

Room Tip: Choose ground floor so that you can avoid stairs or lifts.

I booked this hotel through Internet and called the manger to make sure the room size is big to accommodate a family of 2 + 2 but was not helpful. The room size is average, I will say a bit small for family.
The hotel staff is manner less. They neither have manners nor politeness required in hospitality sector. Its not worth the price you pay.
Restaurant is good, food is tasty but again staff is bad, specially restaurant manager. No manners or courtesy.
Not a worth to spend your holidays time there. You had many other options specially I will recommend hotel J. A bit costly than this but worth.

Booked this hotel after reading several reviews on TripAdvisor and some sites claiming it to be a 3 star. Its not worth the price. Front look and restaurant is nice but the rooms are just like any other budget hotel.

Bed was a disappointment, for whole stay i was confused whether they have offered me a single room or double room as the room is too small to accommodate 2 people comfortably. Eventually i realized they have the same bed in all other rooms too.

The hotel staff is manner less. They neither have manners nor politeness required in hospitality sector. Its not worth the price you pay. Avoid it !!!

Did not stay in the hotel. but just took the food.
The food is very good and highly recommended - Only vegeterain is served.
The lunch option (Thali's) very good.
And the dinner option - Roti, Nan, soups and curries are equally good

Room Tip: Have not used the Hotel services. Only Restaurant services was used

Hotel's location is good but front desk staff is indifferent and impolite.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights with my family. Everything in the room was good except the bed. It was too small to accommodate even 2 people comfortably. This was given to me even when I booked one month in advance for two people with 1.5 yrs infant.

I went to reception and told them the problem. But the guy there had only few sentences in the language he learnt. "What can I do", "That is what we have". He said all hotel rooms have same beds and it is a king size bed. It was then I lost my temper. I understood there is no point to plead to them as he is calling 4 ft wide bed as king size. Then I shouted loud scolding them. I told him to open all the rooms and show me. It is not possible to run the hotel with that bed size for family. I had to create a scene and tell him clearly that I am not going to accept it and the have to provide me comfortable bed, otherwise nobody in the hotel would sleep peacefully. Then they changed my room having large bed and room size.

After that I faced no trouble except intercom of the room not working. Room service was quick and fast. There Restaurant serves tasty food. Whatever ordered in the room was served quite quickly.

Location of the hotel is pretty good and they really score well on that front. It is near to airport, market and all the attractions. If you are not bent on staying near sea in port blair, then its location is one of the best.

One more thing that falls into the bucket of poor front desk staff is the guidance about the tourism. They would tell you all the advantages of tours they book and try to tell bad things what they do not. Well that happens with most places but then do your own research and don't go by their word.

Room Tip: They have two types of beds. One bed which is better for solo travelers as its width is not enough f...

We stayed here with family on 22nd March, 2013 and found this hotel very good. Room was very clean and properly ventilated. Toilet was very clean and big enough. Overall the stay was very comfortable. They have got a very good restaurant which as per our experience you wont get anywhere in Portblair. Food was as good as we get in Delhi in any of the restaurants. Otherwise in rest of the portblair, they only have Thali system which consists Rice, Daal, Sabzi.. etc. almost their fixed menu. We really enjoyed food there..... Hotel is situated on the main road near Sagarika Govt. Emporium. The staff was also good and helpful.

Hotel is situated right in the middle of city near to Sagarika emporium. I booked an AC room accommodation for 2 nights. The rooms were good and clean however were I felt it a bit small. Bathrooms were pretty neat and clean and couldn't find a corner with rust or dust. The stay was comfortable and the hotel personnel were nice and helpful.

Vegan Greek, the hotel restaurant was awesome. The food was pretty nice and very good. Fixed breakfast menu was included in the room tariff. The only thing, I can complain about is the unavailability of non-veg eateries in the restaurant.
