Ate here twice in January and it was amazing both times. The service is very attentive, the food lovingly prepared and the cocktails are out of this world. I could have quite happily worked my way through their daquiri list. The owner is also a charming chap who went beyond the call of duty when one of my party was unwell; he sent us home with some fresh hot soup for her.
It really is head and shoulders above anything else in Kololi, I agree with the previous reviewers that it was a little quiet but I put that down to the average Gambian Tourists' reluctance to venture off the strip. The up side is that the Gaya Art Cafe does have a more discerning clientele.
Make sure you try the coconut prawns!
