Since selling a shore house this year, we were looking for a place to go on occasional weekends at the Jersey Shore. B&B's seemed to work well for us because there are not many places to stay for just a weekend. We are past the "shore motels" of the 1950's with no amenities. The Atlantic View Inn is the third B&B we've stayed at and we finally found our niche. The location of the Inn has everything you could ask for. The ocean is across the street, the Columns Restaurant is right next door and there is the Pavilion right on the ocean for special dinners in the evening. A hearty breakfast is served every morning and if you prefer something else, Chris will gladly make it for you. The staff of young girls are well trained, friendly and do a wonderful job. I am a bit of a germaphobic and the Inn is immaculate. Another wonderful thing is their open porch where you can bring your wine after coming back from having dinner. On another evening, we took a walk to Belmar to dine at a restaurant there. You get a designated parking spot and we never had to get back in our car. Chris and Deb are wonderful Innkeepers as they are very accommodating, warm and friendly too. They make you feel so comfortable and are always asking if you need anything. We will be getting married this weekend and, since we only have a few days off, will return to The Atlantic View Inn for our mini-moon. I can't think of a nicer place to be this time of year when you are at the Jersey Shore. When friends and family asked what we needed, we said we'd love a gift certificate from the Atlantic View Inn.
