Our first visit to Egypt, and we had a fantastic vacation !
Amazing view, cosy rooms, great food, beautyful swimming pool, everyone was so friendly and helpfull, especially Hamdy in the restaurant, and the massages by Mostafa were heavenly, he has magic hands ...
I am defenitely coming back, in February already !

Great value for money! A high level of service to Egypt.
Our room had a sea view and view on swimming pool, amazing view, morning sun rose, and at night the lights were visible in Saudi Arabia and Jordan. Daily cleaning. The stylish hotel, but needs a bit of restoration, Moroccan style, rooms are pleasant colors, stylish furniture, high arched ceiling, large balcony.Every room has a safe , efficient climate control and a small refrigerator, TV, cozy lighting. A hairdryer in the bath, change towels - every day.
A good buffet: for vegetarians and meat eaters. Fish and meat 2 times a day, is quite various. Steamed vegetables, fresh and grill, good rice, lots of pastries, fresh yogurt...(see my photoes). I have a delicate stomach, but 2 weeks all is ok with my stomach. One note: bad butter for breakfast. Very nice server Hamdi. All the staff are friendly. Well-kept area, 20 minutes walking on the beach across the most beautiful golf courses. Or 4 minutes you will carry to the beach taf-taf (runs 2-3 times an hour starting at 9:30) Important detail: the hotel has the best beach in Taba Heights, clearing the stones in the morning, the entrance is sandy and safe.
% ratio by guests: British - 75%, Germans - 10%, Polish - 10%, Russian - 5%, many go to the hotel for years. We met an Englishman who came in 26 times in this hotel! Our thanks to General Manager Ahmed for the atmosphere of friendliness, comfort and joy.

Room Tip: You must to visit this wonderfull place!

This is my second visit to Taba , I chose the 3 corners because it is a great quiet amazing place, the staff are extrememly friendly, starting when me and me partner (it was his first visit) were trying to make the reservation, Omar from the reception was very friendly and helpful with us.

The room was very clean, with a great view for the pool , mountains and also the sea, if you love photography try the sunrise at 6:00 am on the pool, which was very clean and big , there was a smaller one for kids and another 2 pools on the beach , one of them is for kids as well. The room was big and v nice and also the bathroom i had one concern regarding the toilet beacuse I prefer the regular one, while the one that was there was with a toilet hose , which was a bit difficult for me to use, but it was not a big deal at the end.

As for the beach, because of the nature of the place , the beach is a bit rocky, so you have to get a pair of sea shoes I donno what they call it, but it helps big time, it is availble in the shops sorrounding the back of the hotel.

Food was great, the waiters and the chefs were very nice and helpful, specially Maher who took care of us at almost every meal, thank you Maher :)

There is a show every night made by the animation team, it was very entertaining.

Finally , if you are looking for an amazing view, reasonable prices, friendly people and good food, then here you go :)

The Three Corners El Wekala Golf Resort is located in Taba Heights, a huge complex with 5 top quality hotels and resorts, located in a remote place in the Egypt's Sinai Peninsula. It's not so easy to get there. Taba's airport is small and wasn't landing domestic flights by the time we were there. We had to take a flight from Cairo to Sharm-el-Sheikh with EgyptAir and from there travel to Taba by car with a driver booked directly with the hotel by email. It takes about 2 hours and definetely worth it! Since the booking until our last day in El Wekala all the employees and staffs were extremely polite and helpful. And the all inclusive system is fantastic. The meals are delicious. It's like a bubble of well-being. The place is magic, very very beautiful, so private, you can enjoy hotel's pool, go to it's private beach, try many other activities, as diving, submarine tour, trip to Petra, Jordan, by ferry without crossing the Israel's border... Despite of everything that is happening in Egypt, you will be safe there. The only thing I can complain about is that they gave us a twin bedded room instead of a double one, but not big deal, we have placed them together. There's free wi-fi only in the reception area for a few hours at night. If you want more, you must pay for it.

just returned from our second visit to this fab hotel. This is the 1st time we have aver returned to the same place and having discovered that nearly all other guests were "returners" it is easy to see why. The hotel is just the right size for us as we dislike big impersonal hotels spread over large grounds. In this hotel everything is easily accessible and the beach is a 2 minute shuttle away and every half an hour on the dot.
It was nice to see the sunbeds on the beach have been updated and are now excellent and all the beach staff were friendly and helpful. The sea is beautiful and stays shallow for a long way out usually.
The food ....... always well cooked but obviously does get repetitive after a week or so,as do most all inclusives and as long as you like beef, chicken or fish you will find something to eat. The only thing I would recomend on the food side is being a veggie myself I was a bit miffed to only find out on day 10 of the holiday that I could pay extra for a lovely pizza on the beach. We only found this out by chance as there is one small leaflet on the bar at the beach and had it been advertised on the back of the all inclusive menu we would have been happy to purchase many more whilst there, so please el wekala ....put the additional menu's on all tables if you want to make extra money and offer more food choices.....and the margurita pizza was AMAZING !!! Which brings me on to the chefs....all excellent and would go out of there way to try and accommodate anything requested and make sure there was always something you could eat. Mohammed and Mohammed once again...thank you, and the others I am sorry I am not good with names but thank you all.
The waiting staff are also excellent, we had Hamdy who not only smiles and greets you genuinely everytime you enter the restaurant, but they notice everyting here....Hamdy even noticed my partner had walked over and got himself some sweetner one morning instead of using the sugar he had given us and the next morning at breakfast he brought one coffee with sugar, one with sweetners....that is how good these guys at el wekala are !!! It's all these details that make it such a fantastic place and make you feel special whilst you are a guest here.

The bar.......well obviously local spirits but we drink rum/beer (bacardi at home) and it was definitely nice enough for us but the main draw for us was that it was alot quieter inside the bar than outside as even when the hotel is at very low capacity the "entertainment" was very noisy so we preferred to be inside having our evening chats with Amir (sorry if spelt wrong but could not pronounce correctly either lol). What a lovely lovely man !! He is not only brilliant at his job- many evenings we watched in awe as he remembered what a group of 8-10 people had ordered previously and re-did the round and delivered it to their table without being reminded what they all drank ...but also a genuinely nice guy. We sincerely hope he is still there in the bar next time we come as he is a real credit to the hotel.....as is everyone else who's name escapes me i'm afraid.

The pool.......lovely but VERY cold at the mo which is why we chose the beach everyday as the sea is so much warmer and you get an extra hour of sun in the day due to the sun setting behind the mountain. There is also a beautiful pool with wooden loungers at the beach should you decide to use it.

The room.....very nice, functional and clean and plenty of storage. TIP - we always pack extra plastic hangers as they are light in the suitcase and there are only about 6 hangers in the wardrobes. The shower was lovely...piping hot for as long as you need it and the water left my hair much softer than the water at home lol !

Che-Pascal...(restaurant that is ala carte).....hmm mixed opinion about the hotel restuarant . The hotel is Belgium owned and the "theme" is a Belgium restuarant. I would like to point out that again i am a fussy eater/veggie and they went ABOVE an beyond to get us in there and the lovely Yoseff even organized the chef to do me a pizza when I told him I did not like the menu.
The food WAS lovely, my partner had a lovely steak but again they are missing a trick. Guests at the hotel (and the other hotels I'm guessing) eat chicken and beef all week at the all inclusives. Now if che pascal cooked things such as pizza, pasta, burgers, or any other "american diner" type foods we would have happily paid to eat out there more often to have a change from the AI repetition. It seems daft to us to feed us beef and chicken all week for free/all inclusive and then try to get us to buy "posher" beef and chicken outside the hotel when all our taste buds are craving anything but beef and chicken. Please el wekala.....update the che pascal menu as the flying carpet was a lot busier, looked much more modern inside and did an amazing "fried chicken and chips" and I was very happy to pay £30 for our meal there as it broke up the all inclusive repettitiion during the week. A diner style of food would be much better here as people are missing/craving these foods.

Egypt.....PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Go !!!!...if you are already reading this this the chances are you are weighing up wether to go....well please consider any "trouble" is an 8 HOUR bus journey away from Taba and if it kicked off in Edinburgh would you avoid London so you don't get mixed up in it ??? This place is the only place in this priceband that you can get these temperatures for a much needed dose of sun and R&R and you can fly there in under 5 hours ...need I say more ??
Also if you want busy beaches/hassle when you go near any shops/salesmen on the beaches try SHARM....if you want a tranquil holiday (we had max 20 people spread oot on the private beach at any one time...(now how much would that cost anywhere else in the world???) then you want TABA....... please don't be put off by the fact you can't fly direct to taba anymore. Now we have found this place we will definately return, even with the 2.5 hrs transfer time we will now have to do from flying into sharm it is worth it for us as we like "quiet" on our holidays.

So to sum up thanks again EVERYONE at el wekala for another fantastic 2 weeks.....we will be back next year xxx

Room Tip: take cheap lightweight hangers with you. Use the beach during the winter months as you get longer su...

I just want to write this review to say what a wonderful time I had at El Wekala. Despite all of the negative publicity surrounding Egypt at the moment, this is so far away from all of the trouble and has the best view out of any of the hotels in Taba! If you are looking to visit Taba, stay at El Wekala - the staff are so friendly, the rooms are so clean, and the General manager is an absolute delight, he couldnt have been anymore helpful or welcoming to us. Nothing was ever too much trouble. If you are looking for a place to relax, unwind and have a real experience - this is the place to go. As soon as I got on the plane home, I was thinking about when next to book. I miss you guys! Thank you for such a wonderful experience xx

Room Tip: Watch the sunrise/sunset from El Wakela's outside restaurant atleast 3 times. It will not disapo...
