“Authentic taste of India in Taba Heights! July 2013”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013

We went one evening at Pub Tandoori during ours weeks stay.

Food is of genuine Indian taste. We had vegetarian food as we missed such food at the Hotel. Service was good but slow. There were only six tables occupied. We later found out that there is only one chef who prepares and makes all items hence delay in food service and also limitation on the Menu choices.

Tandoori dishes were looking good, but we stuck to Indian Vegetarian

This restaurant is well positioned overlooking the Taba Height hotels and across the sea to Jordan and Saudi Arabia lights at night (I think restaurant is only open in the evenings).

We had pleasant evening, and yes please try Real Mango Drink, definitely worth it! and ask chef to make you Lassi, a Indian Yoghurt drink (Sweet with Real Mango Juice or Salted with cumin powder), well suited for the Hot climate of Taba Heights, it will cool you down!

Sure to visit this restaurant again upon my return to Taba Heights in future, hope by then menu choice will increase and chef will have assistant to cope with the orders.

Excellent service from The waiter who was ever so keen to serve us drinks and kept us informed of the progress of our order.

“Such a shame it's quiet!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2013

So we came up to the pub tandoori mainly for its free wifi. Unfortunately on the night we chose the wifi wasn't working and the restaurant was quiet apart from another couple but that didnt stop the staff from being apologetic and the food delicious! When down at our hotel our waiter (Ahmen G...who works hard at both sites) informed us the wifi was working and that we should pop up for happy hour. Well we got here at 6.45 ordered our bottle of wine (with one free) and watched the horizon as the sun set. We didn't plan on staying for dinner as we had a reservation at the intercon (part of their dine around scheme) but with the personal, friendly touch we decided on another meal at a cost at the pub tandoori. Although if you're not all inclusive you have to pay for he meal it is well worth it with the views you see, in the company you have and the fascinating stories you hear. Definitely worth exploring up ttown!!

“Not bad”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

The food was quite nice. Big portions and all fresh.
Service was really slow and not very attentive. Cost was just over £5o for 2 people, I thought it was a bit overpriced for what you got.
