“Nice and Quiet”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

We stayed here in April 2012, myself and my partner and another couple. The rooms were big and kept clean every day and we were near the entrance so not kept awake by any noise of the bar at night time. We were on all inclusive and the buffet was different every evening which was great. We also ate one night in the Italian and one night in the Thai which was outstanding. The shuttle bus to the beach was great and so was the fact that our all inclusive was also valid here so we could have drinks and food there. Biggest downside was that an advert or music video was being filmed over the last few days and we were not warned about it. Therefore most of the sun bed area near the pool was sectioned off and then film crew were hanging about everywhere. I was not impressed by members of the film crew taking mine and my friend's photo when we were sunbathing and refusing to hand over the camera, delete the photo or leave us alone, despite being asked to by our boyfriends. It did ruin the end of our holiday.

Dear Valuable Guests,

Thank you for submitting a TripAdvisor review, pleased to know that you enjoyed our resorts’ facilities and love your All inclusive package.

Absolutely it was disappointed for you what happened at the end of your holiday by un-respecting your privacy by the film crew we really regret about this un responsible behavior.

Hopefully we can get another chance to welcome you once again at our hotel.

The resort on the whole was very good. Room was very large and spacious and comfortable and grounds were very attractive. The problem was the food which was of poor quality, overcooked dry and of no flavour. We tried both a la carte restaurants but these were not a la carte as I know it. The staff were lovely and did all that they could to make our stay special as it was both my birthday and my 1st wedding Anniversary. The beach!!!!! It was not suitable for average swimmers as you had to enter the sea from a pier into a depth of 10 m and sign's warning not to swim and warning of previous shark attacks were not encouraging. The food at the Pool Bar and the Beach Bar were of a much better standard. Note the breakfast was the best meal of the day.

Room Tip: Make sure you ask for a corner suite

I booked there from 21/2/2013 to 24/2/2013 and initially the service was not bad and everything was fine except the dinner which was not always well done.
As most egyptian receptionists, their treatment is not as friendly as they do with european foreigners. They are less professional and treat us as if we were in a 5 start hotel for the 1st time!
While doing our checkout,a very unprofessional receptionist at 12:20pm (not sure of his name)asked me before checking out about the floor towel in my room bath!!Actually it was removed after our first night and we ignored asking about it.He asked us to wait till he check with the housekeeping about our story!!!!That was very rude and unacceptable at all.I insisted to meet the general manager but then they do apologised after 10 min of arguing(too late)..This rude employee has erased any good memory during our stay by his stupid action..I will not go there again because of him.

The room cleanliness and facilities were fine. All employees are narrow minded, they are chasing blonds whatever they are and annoy foreigners by their exaggerated sense of humour. While they show most of time the mask face for any egyptian as if we were working with them!
The beach was fine and staff there were polite and helpful.

However,I feel disappointed when I remember the checkout event..

Room Tip: Just avoid that receptionist

Just returned from nine nights at this wonderful hotel. We were their with friends to celebrate my 60th birthday and had a really enjoyable time. The staff were so friendly and helpful and our special thanks to Hamada and Omar in the restaurant and Mohammed in the Panorama bar, for making our stay extra special. We had my birthday meal in the Al Forno restaurant and it was a really special night, especially when all the staff came out with a cake and sang Happy birthday in English & Egyptian.
The Hotel is kept so clean and special thanks to our cleaner who did a wonderful job. Food was varied and good and my only slight complaint is that the pool was very cold, but that certainly did not spoil the holiday. We will certainly return.

Just returned from a 3 week holiday at the hotel. Never having taken an all inclusive holiday before we were pleasantly surprised with the good choice and quality of the food (no chips thankfully!) The rooms are large, the staff genuinely friendly and very helpful. The spa is really good and thanks to Ahmead the Spa Manager we enjoyed a series of massages which were some of the best we have had. If returning to Sharm we would certainly stay in this hotel again

Room Tip: A pool view or near reception although there are golf buggies to transport you from your room if it...

The Hotel and gardens are immaculately kept. The reception staff are pleasant but there is that instant recognition of how the men talk to woman here.

All the public areas are immaculate (except the for the ashtrays all over the place - CONSTANT smoking going on EVERYWHERE!)

The bed room was beautifully kept. The rooms are very large and comfortable.

I found the staff are professional more than friendly.

Restaurant a bit of a chore as you have to get up and down constantly for bread, for starter, for main course, for dessert, for tea and coffee. If you order a drink that you have to pay for then you can expect to wait at least 15 mins to pay for it at the end of the meal.

We paid a lot of money for this week's holiday in the 3rd week of January 2013 and it was advertised as All Inclusive - Its NOT. We arrived off our flight and into the hotel at 4pm, and could not get anything to eat (after being up since 5am) until 7pm.

There is a break between 4.30 and 6.30pm where you cannot get something to eat so if you have been out for the day and return within this time period you are snookered to be honest!

The food is beautifully presented but seems to be a the same sort of chicken / fish / beef dish with a new name!

There is a pool side bar where you can chose to have your lunch, DO NOT take the fresh bread - it is left out - uncovered for hours and the birds sit and peck at it. The kitchen staff have bowls of food on top of the fridge to feed the birds (it is an open aired kitchen) and the birds droppings are all over the kitchen area as they sit and peck at the bread. We saw several waiters shoo away the birds, rearrange the bread in the basket then immediately serve it to poor unsuspecting guests!!

As an added note I have to say I have NEVER seen such wasteful people as the Egyptian and Palestinians who brought mounds and heaps of food to the table and left a lot of it!

Absolutely shocking and extremely wasteful.

If you decided to eat later on, often there were no desserts left.

The so called Italian restaurant is dire! (Nothing italian about the food)

The hotel had themed food nights in the restaurant but unfortunately the Egyptian chefs cooked the egyptian foods, the Egyptian chefs cooked Italian foods, the Egyptian chefs cooked the Indian foods, ect ect (you get the picture?????) it all tasted the same with different names.

The food because boring very quickly.

The hotel was quite empty when we where there and I cannot imagine the queue for eggs in the mornings if at full capacity.

In reference to previous reviews - Yes there are a lot of Russians at the hotel but we found them quiet and certainly not pushy or rude. I found the Egyptian men more rude, arrogant and bad mannerly with their attitude to taking food that was offered to you by the chef ?????

The bar staff (always men) where reluctant to serve woman at the bar.

One VERY sneering annoying bar man constantly referred to my husband as 'All right Jimmy' - we politely pointed out that his name was Kenny but he continued to call him Jimmy. I wonder if he would have been as enamoured if we had called him Ali all the time.

Which leads me onto the feeling that these people (the staff) do not really like you at all - it is all about what money they can get out of you. I never felt it was a willingness to help just a way to ingratiate themselves with you for a tip. They almost held out there hand when ever they did anything for you.

The pool area is lovely but again I wonder how busy it would be if the hotel was near to full. It is hard to lie and relax as you are questioned by 'entertainment staff' about doing activities (they do not seem to be able to take 'No thanks' as an indications that you are not interested), then guys from the beauty salon - yes ALL Guys, I booked a facial and eyebrow shape and massage and found it was all men. The Facial was very good but the man did not have the light soothing touch that a woman would have, he was quite heavy handed and just started plucking my eyebrows from dry!! So EXTREMELY painful that I yelped! but he just carried on regardless.

We became very stir crazy from knowing we were within a compound (thats what it felt like). There is absolutely NOTHING to do if it rains - bored stupid!!

To sort of summarise - If you want a relaxing, no thinking sort of holiday then this hotel will be for you, if you like to get out and walk and see places then this is not for you, as you will have to get a taxi everywhere you go.

And that is also another story going into N'aama Bay - OMG! They are nearly dragging you into each shop you pass - you are harrassed to hell and back!!

We gave up after an hour and got a taxi (another major hassle) and went back to the compound err hotel.

The attitude towards western women in general (not just the hotel) has a LONG way to go before I would go back.

Its back to Italy for me in future - where you are warmly welcomed, the food is to die for and you feel as if your custom is appreciated.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the entertainment area as it is a blooming racket every evening! if they o...
