cant understand why all the bad reviews yes some problems but no way to the extent to what people are complaining about we stayed there for 2 weeks got back Tuesday 26Th August. like everybody else we were a little concerned with all the bad press this hotel had got before we flew out.we arrived at the hotel late Monday evening approx 11pm after a slight delay checked in no problem and was taken to our room on a little buggy we couldn't believe the size of our room is was brilliant we had booked a jacuzzi room but this was definitely a suite walk in wardrobe massive shower extra large double bed overlooked the pools and the beach great start to the holiday..with it been late like most people we had a drink from the mini bar me and my wife had a bottle of heineken my son a bar of chocolate it was £9 so please be careful we told reception to clear the mini bar and we stocked it up ourselves from the local shop at el-strado just past MacDonald's beers 80 p a bottle instead of the £3 the hotel were charging you.. we booked into the Al la Cart restaurant's asap as they were filling up fast i do advise you to book into the sari which is the Indian and the Chinese they were really good the Mediterranean not that good to be honest.yes the buffet does get a little repetitive with the food but hey ho we did the buffet 1 night then an AL a Cart the following night so no problem.with all the fuss about people getting poorly we went to the chemist right next to the entrance to our hotel the first day and got some strong tablets that we could take just for prevention all 3 of us just took 1 a day and this seemed to help we didn't get no problems no stomach upsets or anything but we did drink plenty of fluids(Water) during the day as the weather is so hot not complaining though. The tablets are £1 for 12 they are really helpful at the pharmacy. If you do want a change the Seafood restaurant on the beech is lovely yes you do have to pay but for 3 of us it was £30 and we had sea bass and shrimps which were lovely they have a beech party on a Sunday evening which we do strongly recommend you go it was fantastic its £20 per adult and £3 for children with entertainment singing dancing its just a nice change from the entertainment at the amphitheatre..our room was in Block 3 on the second floor we do advise you ask for the second floor if you have a Jacuzzi room as the bottom floor rooms over look the garden and are very private 3202-3206 and as for people saying the russians are very ignorant etc etc we did have a few at our hotel and i do agree they are very impolite and ignorant they don't seem to like to queue like the rest of us for some reason ?? but found the hotel was that mainly of English people. The water situation people were complaining of yes you do have to stock up at breakfast but to be honest i don't know what people were complaining of we just got as many as we needed and put them straight into the fridge back at the room no problem. then swapped them over for cold ones as we needed them...we didn't experience any warm beer to be honest when we were there we used the swim up bar at the pool most days and during the day to be honest i was drinking water i did have the odd few beers during the day but were lovely and cold? it does get a bit ridiculous on an evening down at the amphitheatre for getting seats etc etc people seem to get there very early but hey ho if we didn't get a seat you can watch from the top OK if you want..the Kids club was Fantastic my son is 9 and he loved it we are one for throwing kids into clubs at the first opportunity to be honest at the end of the day its up to him and he loved it .there was so much for him to do we booked for him to go to the soccer school it was 4 sessions and he loved that... I do recommend the snorkel trip either to Garden Reef which you don't need a visa or to Ra's Mohamed which you do need a visa..we did the Garden reef and really enjoyed it... And obviously the problem with the Sunbeds i must mention yes people do come down very early to reserve sunbeds but at the end of the day if you don't get down till 9am you will still manage to get a sunbed OK just not close to the pools... and at 10.15 every day the beech towels guys come round and strip the beds if nobody are sat on them so just remember to be there for 10am if you have reserved one or you will be coming back with somebody else sat there ...
all in all we had a great Holiday i think if you go out with the attitude that you are going to have a crap holiday(Because of the poor reviews) and pick up on every little thing that is wrong then yes you are going to have a poor holiday just go with an open mind an enjoy .Yes it maybe not a 4 star or in some cases rated a 5 star hotel but my son had a fantastic time so did me and my wife and that's all that matters to me at the end of the day.People have put in the reviews about this hotel and the stomach upsets and in some cases very bad cramps etc etc but at the end of the day its just not this Hotel we spoke to a few English Families on our trip out and there Hotels were experiencing some problems its a different culture weather etc etc (deli Belly) this country is a place where people do get upset tummies not sure if the tablets were why we never got tummy upset but because we didn't may be it is advisable to take precaution's before hand hope this is helpful and enjoy your holiday.
