“fantastic staff which then became like a family....;)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2013

Iv travelled the world and stayed in many hotels, and i actually came to Naama bay 2 years ago but this Tropitel Naama Bay blew every hotel out of the water. Although I spoke the language it didnt make any diffrence, I still got unlimited care from the staff, they would go to that extra mile to make you feel welcome. starting the RECEPTION TEAM (Hisham, Ahmed, Magdy)they were so prefessional but had the friendliest attiude toward us, they made us feel welcome and took note if we werent happy with something. they felt very protected over me and use to give me tips on the Taxi fares and how to haggle for better price. The ROOM (Izhak) was so clean and spacious, with a view to die for. THE FOOD (Mohamoud Balcony service, floor manager, Ahmed desert station) i looked forward to it the staff would carry my drink and make sure i knew where these cultural dishes actually came from, the menue was health and hot, there was something for everyone. THE POOL BAR( Majid,Mohamoud Saad) i cant swim but i loved spending time there dipping my legs at the edge of the pool and being entertained by the friendly staff it was lovely and i got a tan without realising it. i got sick and the Hotel Doctor at that time took care of me marvelously
i could go on and on of how lovely everyone were thank you so much. room 302

Room Tip: if you are young and will go out a lot then its best to stay in the fron(old building) its easier ac...

Nice hotel, perfectly situated in the centre of Namma Bay.

We had a few dislikes which I'll mention here but overall our stay was a good one.

Both of us being non smokers, the smell of stale smoke hit us as soon as we walked into the hotel reception area. This however is probably the same everywhere as smoking is allowed in any place in Naama bay and probably all of Eygpt too. The Lobby Bar is in this area too and so you're sat in a smoky environment.

Again - same everywhere so it's really put up or shut up. It's what they do in Egypt!

We were upgraded immediately on arrival by the staff at no request from us to a very large superior room in the 9 building (ie all room numbers begin with 9 as in 929 etc) which was quite nice and unexpected. Desk staff always helpful.

Whilst the 9 building is very much better than being in the main hotel it is a good walk to the room but it was definately the better place to be. There is a little battery car that will give you a lift to your building. The 9 building also has its own (more appealing) restaurant and another much quiter swimming pool is nearby where drinks were brought constantly to us. (there were 5 pools that we found).

The hotel has it's own little beach area where the towel guy found us a decent pair of beds each time we went there. He had a good attitude to suit.

The food for our 'all inclusive' stay was good and though not always super tasty it was no worse than eating outside the hotel and we never had any problems at all. The restuarant staff were always helpful as were all the other staff we came into contact with so no worries there at all. Food quality 7/10.

Drinks quality ok but beer not too good. (Tip - for beer, drink bottled SAKARA GOLD) outside of the hotel. (UK price for 500ml bottle around £2 to £2-50 present time)

We did enjoy it and would recommend to anyone. Even though All-Inc we still went out into town each night too as we can't stay in one place. The town was lively but not yobbish and our week there was enjoyable.

8/10 from us for this hotel.

A TIP TO REMEMBER FOR OUTSIDE OF THE HOTEL
If you are drinking in Sharm watch out for the SERVICE CHARGE AND GOVERNMENT TAX. You don'y always know about this until your bill arrives - too late then!

This, if added to your bill, can increase all costs by 30%.

We got stung once but thereafter, anywhere else we went to, we said we didn't want to pay these charges and EVERYWHERE we said this, we paid the drink prices only.

Remembering this one tip will save you a fortune.

Enjoy your stay at the Tropitel

Room Tip: Anywhere out of the main hotel building is recommended. The 6 7 8 9 buildings are really nice an...

It was not my first stay in this hotel, but like the previous one it was wonderful. Starting from room (was free upgraded to 900 building) to brilliant staff and tasty food. Special thanks to daria guest relaton who constantly asked me if everything is fine,a.el salam from reception who was professonal, friendly and polite, and romany a nice guy from lobby bar,who made for me tasty cocktails. Thanks for another brilliant vacation!

Room Tip: Rooms in 900 are the best in the hotel with new furniture and large bathroom

We stayed at tropitel Naama bay over new year for a week! We had a brilliant time, the food was lovely and never got boring, the staff could not do enough for you, they were excellent! The photography team were brilliant, very friendly, reasonable and willing to help. The new years eve party that the hotel put on was fantastic! A lot of effort was put in from the staff to make it an excellent night. We can't wait to go back!!

We had a fantastic 9 days staying at this hotel. We had a very warm welcome with drinks at the reception as soon as we checked in. Reception phoned a couple of days after our arrival to make sure everything was to out liking. Hisham and Peter on reception were professional and friendly. The pool attendants Abdullah and Mahmoud couldn't do enough for us and had towels on the bed every morning waiting for us. The cleaners in the room were great and it was spotless. Amir the waiter in the lobby was very nice too, The food was good and we even had lurpack butter. Kara who worked for the animation was very friendly too and invited us everytime she saw us to the shows.
We met some lovely people from Cardiff and Yorkshire and would like to go back sometime. Its in the heart of Naama Bay and you do not need to go outside the resort to seek anymore.

Room Tip: room 923 but you would have to up grade to a delux room to get this. Ask for a room by the olympic p...

Took a winter half term break for the first time to get away from it all. This was the perfect venue, far enough to get the sun and with an international feel with excellent excursions. Really impressed by the warm and friendly welcome from all staff. Consistently good food, excellent breakfast and tremendous water slides. Just got back and want to return.
