Very tired complex, which is deceptive from it's entrance. Glad the management has admitted the need for the overhaul. Quite a few safety problems with this hotel where there are sheer drops behind small walls that you know children like to walk along. Patio doors that can be opened easily to a two foot drop. Unlocked doors with ladders leading up to the roof of a two story building-just right for a gaime of hide and seek. Posts missing near the lift shaft resulting in a gap that a child could easily slip through with a drop of 30+foot. Rock pools that cut and scratch the children. Very slippy floors. Missing swimming pool grating ready for little feet to be caught. Cockroaches in the restaurant toilets, ants in the rooms. Take mosquito spray. Food very bland, boiled beef, veg, etc without any flavour-simply in water? This is so dissapointing when you consider the wonderful chances to excite the pallate. Some special nights which offered a choice of a few extras. Not much for children to eat. Very unhygienic storage of food in Eden Village as birds eating off spoons, which are then dipped in food! Italians receive welcome drinks, own entertainment, cheap organised trips, personalized kids club reps, gifts, etc when you will have paid more. Staff in restaurant ignore Brits and you often have to clear a table and reset it yourself. First time ever been in Egypt where family have been subjected to racism. My daughter is 12 weeks pregnant and found the abuse very distressing. The women involved were wearing burkini's and because my daughter had a swimsuit on they abused her and her husband. Management did nothing, but would have done if it had been the other way. She was also banned from the health spa in case she slipped so she could not have a massage. Definitely not a five star resort, possible 3 when compared to other hotels. Beach not really child friendly. Not for a first visit to Egypt-this hotel would put you off going again and Sharm, and it's residents are wonderful.
Avoid rooms near the eden village or the Italian entertainment area that goes on very late and will...

We do remember you and your family, and let me explain and answer all your points because is nor 100% fair all your comments as you know very well that I spoke to you several times and try our very best to solve all your problems, even you spoke to your local representative and he recommend to me that you have to be change from the Hotel to another resort because as he say to me, even if we offer your the moon you would still complain ... how true!!!
We just pass 4 Health and Hygiene and Safety inspections , 2 from the local government, 1 from RCI and the last one from Thomas Cook all very professional and hard inspections and let me tell you Madam that we did pass all test with high score , meaning that we do fulfill all local and international Health and Safety laws, this is to make clear to all future guest.
In reference to all dining room staff do not care.... as you remember very well I reserved a fix table in the Main restaurant and give order to the Food and Beverage manager in front of you that " if you need any special food or child menu ( fries , pasta ,etc) to provide to you, when I ask you every time I meet you , your answer was " Yes all is Ok". Also we do provide 5 thematically nights , been the Egyptian Night most popular plus you could take advantage of eating twice either in the Mermaid Fish restaurant or Bella Vista Italian Restaurant.
As a matter of personal and Hotel courtesy I send to your room , a Basket of fresh local fruit, mineral water, coca cola, seven up beer etc,,,,,, and next day you ask me in a very bad manner to take away from your room.... in this moment I understand that you will not enjoy your vacations , so I can take the Liberty to tell you that maybe the only country were you can be in Holiday is in the UK..... because other counties if you do not have the frame of mind to mix with the local, mix with other Hotel Guest, try the beautiful local food, and think that all is different till you think like this you will never enjoy holidays outside the UK I am sorry but is like this..
In reference to the Italians, we do have a nice international guest mix in our Resort , English, French, Ukrainian, Italian, Polish, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Hungarian, Spanish been the biggest the Russian market, and remember we do have an international Animation team, 7 days a week in the beach, pools, Brasserie Bar, and live entertainment in the Oriental Layalina Cafe 3 times a week.......... we do have a British girl in the animation team , but as she says you were not interested to join any of the activities :(
I remember when you come to me complaining that some Egyptian guest were racist against you!!!! as you say management did not do anything about it , let me tell you what I did: I send the Front Office Manager and Animation Manager to investigate, even I pout a member of my staff for 1 full day in the pool as if he was a guest to look for any sign of what you told me.... the answer was all negative...... for your information Egyptian person the do talk a lot with the hands and perhaps you thought that they were referring to you....NEGATIVE. Egyptian persona are very well educated and NEVER in my last 4 years in the Resort I have encountered a problem like you experience, very strange affair!!!!!
Yes I remember telling you that the Hotel is finalizing a renovation programme of all rooms which is normal in all Hotels from time to time to increase the value for our guest and I am glad to let you know that is finish already....
We are sorry we did not fulfill your expectations.
Have a lovely weekend
