“friends and family”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2014

I stayed here in march, having stayed here twice a year, I have now clocked up 14 visits to falcon hills. I no longer class the staff as staff, they are now my personal friends and family, The hotel is very clean and tidy, The food is basic but 1st class, if there is nothing on menu, the chef will try to accommodate personal choice, The bar staff house keepers work very hard and nothing is too much trouble for them to keep all guest happy, the GM Mr Ayman is the best, there are a few local shop keepers that do try to encourage guest in their shops, but please remember they are all trying to earn a living, and it is part of the Egyptian way of life to haggle, and it can be fun.

We spent a week at this hotel, our annual xmas escape had been delayed until March so a rest was much needed.
The hotel was small - medium in size although it may be a bit room heavy in relation to other facilities in peak periods. The paperwork, arrangement and welcome were friendly and efficient, we were were ensconsed in our room within 15 minutes of arrival even though it was late evening.

The hotel is a 10 minute drive from Sharm Airport and located a couple of hundred yard from the main throughfair for that part of sharm, Approx £10-£12 in a cab from the airport. The hotel does have a hotel taxi ( Kamal) who runs an excellent service for good value fixed fee prices. It also runs a shuttle bus service to both nearby beaches and several social visits of interest each week.

The nearest beach is the reef beach, approx 400 yards down one road from the hotel or £1.50 with Kamal if you are feeling lazy. This Beech is artificial and created to rake advantage of the easy access to the reef for snorkellers, swimmers, divers and watchers. Falcon Hills run a couple of free buses a day here, although it is not really needed as its so close. Plentyful sun loungers and fixed brolly's, a great beach bar for drinks and snacks and a massage and spa area. Also an equipment hire stall. (Alex from here can also organise excursions of various types). The brease that blows permanently due to the location and the views are added pluses to this lovely location. An excellent Italian is situated at the entrance to the reef beach, it serves superb food and is very efficiently run by non Egyptian Lady who is not to be trifled with, this ensures top class service and a superb evening £2 course for 2 people with multiple drinks (£25). There is also a beech/sheesha bar with a chilled out vibe and good music.

I was assured by other guests that the other beach is a more traditional sun and sand area that is quite and very nice.

Many folks choose to spend the majority of their time in or around the hotel, there are two pools , one larger lagoon style and the other quite small but nicely sheltered and handy if your room is near the rear of the hotel. Staff at the bars are very good and efficient, there is a distinct lack of the usual tip hunting and we were not even tagged by a specific waiter or bar server.

The all inclusive package was more than adequate, some may feel it was a little repetative and slightly over controlled, this however was reassuring for busier times with more children about etc. Each evening had extensive buffett, good salad bar and two additional mains from the chef, always beef and chicken in a variety of guises, lunch was simple and varied everyday. Breakfast was standard fair but enjoyable and fresh, the chef and the eggman new there stuff!

The animation team ensured a nice vibe all the time with things going on but not intrusively, the holiday activity join in stuff is no longer my idea of fun, many guests seemed to really enjoy it, the Sunday trip to the Square was a favourite. I personally have a strong objection to the snake acts used on one evening.

On a few occasions I required a little help with organisation and locating items needed, help was always at hand and no trouble at all, nearby hotels , bars, supermarkets and minim malls were excellently stocked with everything that could be needed and very easily reached.

The spa was very good and nicely tucked away, although a little tired it was a very good serviceand highly relaxing (£15 for massage sauna, steam room and spa.)

The rooms were very clean, well appointed and comfortable, although the hard matresses of Egypt seem to disagree with my wife, air conditioning was fine although a little noisy. We were very well looked after by our room attendant. The only other negative was an occasional drain smell in certain areas, this was temporary but recurrent.

Our sleep was not ideal , but this was purely down to passionate Italians and argumentative arab speakers. No hotel can see this coming. In the end the best bet was to retaliate Italian style!

I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a budget break, slightly out of the main area. Families would love it at all times, couples perhaps should be wary in the high season as I suspect it could be very busy and family focused.

We used Trip Advisor to assist in deciding between a couple of bargain offers available and were tempted by the number of positive reviews and repeat visitors. I can definitly see why people return here.

Room Tip: Ground floor pool view is the best selection as they have small balcony and you walk staight out int...

Just back from a week here and our first time in Egypt. Hotel not in the best area at all, so much hassle from Egyptian shop owners and pawing over ALL and ANY females they see whether accompanied or not. Hotel is very basic, food very average. We did the full day snorkelling boat trip which was fantastic, and swam with dolphins which again was amazing. Doubt we would go back to Egypt and certainly not to Falcon hills, met some lovely locals, but not many!! Sorry guys, some of you try hard but most of you didn't.

Room Tip: by the small pool

Me and a friend stayed here for a week, couldn't fault the hotel, staff were amazing and were always happy with anything that we asked for! We loved Karan and his cheeky smile!! Shadow, Mikey and mo we're really entertaining and always having a laugh with everyone!! Met some lovely people during our stay and it felt like our little family!! Would definitely recommend some mosquito repellent as me and my friend had over 300 bites between us!! Other than that great holiday and would definitely recommend this hotel!!

Just returned from my fourth holiday at Falcon Hills and as usual had a brilliant time. The staff are wonderful, they work tirelessly, nothing is too much trouble for these lovely people. It is spotlessly clean, the food is great and the pools are well maintained. Can't wait to return! Anne

My first time in Egypt and loved it! Stayed at Falcon Hills with my mum for relaxing break. Lovely friendly hotel. Staff cant do enough for you. Special mention to waiters Osama and Karim. Was tempted to do free scuba 'Try dive' in pool with Sab from Pirates dive club which is attached to the hotel and it was Amazing! Gave me enough confidence to do a days boat trip snorkeling around Ras Mohamed - WoW! Even though food was repetitive the chef offered to cook whatever we requested. Plenty of free transport from hotel to beaches, Soho Square, Naama Bay etc which is just as well as there was not much around outside hotel. Spa onsite reasonable prices and friendly. Enjoyed free massage too! Entertainment basic but fun. Would def recommend Falcon Hills xxx

First visit to this hotel, not disappointed. Staff very helpful and accommodating always smiling. We had a room with balcony overlooking the main pool. Room was a nice size, with fridge and tv (this we did not watch as too busy enjoying ourselves). The food was very good and plentiful. Lots of of lovely salads, fresh breads, rolls. All meals where great. At 5pm each evening there was waffles with or without icecream - take your pick, or you could have an icecream cone. Plenty of choice.
I reccommend this hotel, you can take the free shuttle to Reel Beach or walk, buy your ticket at reception 120LE, is 250LE at actual beach. Is a great snorkling spot. We saw a young manta gliding along, amazing. Lots of masked puffer fish, clown fish, the colours are amazing. If you wish to stay out all day, staff will make you a packed lunch on request. Lots of entertainment each night and trips out to various locations by free bus. The staff love the children and make a big fuss of them, which is great to see. I will definately return to Falcon Hills but would prefer to be based by the quiet pool next time. Lots of people we met there had returned again and again.
Well done to all staff and management. See you soon :)

Room Tip: Ask for room by quiet pool as music is played quite loudly after dinner for a few hours.
