“fantastic family fun”

Nubian village may not be the biggest of hotels but it certainly has a very high standard of decoration and finish that gives it a very high quality look and feel. it is a fantastic hotel with its two large swimming pools, separate toddlers pools and a baby pool with its own baby sized slides. The food was great with a varied selection and style of meals. Lots of activities, with a very good entertainments team. Anthony, the young English entertainment man excelled, putting in plenty of energy and commitment to keep our combined 5 kids entertained. Lots of space around the pools and down on the beach though if you do want to chill out out and relax in peace. What really makes this hotel fantastic though is the staff. You couldn't ask for more friendly or dedicated people to make your stay enjoyable. Our waiter Hosney was great. He knew our preferred drinks within a couple of days and had our table all set up for us before each meal.

Stayed at the Nubian Island for 2 weeks in August with my partner and 2 teenage children. Hotel kept extremely clean. Maid Mohammed did a fantastic job in room 556/557 which faced the quite pool where mostly Brits sunbathed. George pool bar was absoutely fabulous and was a good laugh too. Towel guy Romini and Mohammed couldnt do enough for you. Food and drinks in restuarant was of a high standard and service was immaculate. Thanking our special waiter Slah and Maher who went out of their way to be friendly to us all. Lobby bar waiter hanni was always happy, cheerful and very helpful, and always remembered our drinks. Kareem from the Golden Spa massage place was also very friendly and helpful and was always a pleasure to speak to. Entertainment team was all very friendly, and apparently did a good job down the activity pool, but we never ventured to this pool. Evening entertainment was extremely poor due to the hotel not allowing them to practice and perform acts for the guests in the hotel. This is a huge disappointment. The entertainment crew did the best they could do. A Special mention to Shereen who was absoutely lovely and did a good job. Michael, Kristi, Olga and Anthony were all very friendly and helpful. Some entertainers no name mentioned get phrase for doing absolutely nothing. The general Manager Mr George was always at the hotel and wanted feedback and comments from the guests, and even arranged a VIP cocktail night, with a light buffet was arranged for all English guests, which I found extremely a good idea. Overall had a fantastic holiday and cannot fault anything. Would def recommend this hotel. Best till last is the Italian Al La Carte which was amazing, too much food thou! Mohammed the head waiter was absoutely fantastic and a credit to the hotel. Gave everyone first class service and couldnt do enough to make your evening surperb. All staff always had a smile and a nice hello for you. Def try this hotel will not disappoint.

Room Tip: Quiet, nice view and close to amentities is room 556/557 which is opposite the pool bar in the quiet...

SUPERB WEATHER....even on March ;-)
We have travelled on march 2011, and the weather been very nice, the staff hotel very nice, and the food as well Top Class!!!
The swimming pool,superb,one with the heating nearest beach.

Room Tip: We have been in Bungalow.......TOP CLASSSS!!!!!!

Hotel was filthy, particularly the dining area. Food was ok but service was dreadful. Staff constantly on mobile phones and very unattentive until we were due to go home and they wanted tipping. Poor management all round and no pride in their jobs. Should have gone back to Concorde el Salam for not much more money.

I was on there for 1 day during the beginning of September. The Hotel is good. The swimming pools are not so Big but the pools were amazing and there were always activity's going on. The Animation team is great, especially Anna. The Receptionist is so friendly. The food wasn't good. The waiters are so bad, one of them was so rude in replying us, if we ask him for something! The rooms are so near from the pool & the main restaurant so you don't have to walk too much to reach there.

We stayed here for a "all inclusive" Easter holiday in April 2011.
We had booked as a family of four, sharing a room, a rarity these days as the max occupancy is normally 3. But instantly found the room to a standard (small) double and far too small to accommodate 2 extra temporary beds. There was no room for the cases we had to put one in the bathroom in order to shut the room door. You could just about squeeze past the beds to get around the room. The hotel said there were no larger rooms, but could upgrade to a "bungalow", which we did and it was worth every penny - our daughters had their own room and our one was large a very comfortable and unlike the first room which was right next to the Reception block and the unheated and very cold pool, it was much nearer the sea and the heated "activities pool".
The food was generally very good especially on the speciality nights.
The open air entertainment was pretty poor - a bit of a laugh.
The drinks were all "local" brands and therefore of low quality and weak.
The mini disco was poorly attended and conducted exclusively in Italian.
Th "animation team" were all very Italian and although spoke very good English were there only to entertain the Italian guests of which there were about 25%, with about 40% British and the rest were French and Russian.
The hotel waiting staff were friendly and in general attentive. If your want prompt service drinks - TIP UP FRONT.
We noticed that the next door "sister Hotel" the Nubian Village had no guests and was preparing to open for the season. After asking around we were told that the British visitors would normally be put in there. Looking around, it was at least 1 star maybe 2 less than the Nubian Island.
The Nubian Village did however have the water slides which were a big hit with our girls, although the water was freezing.

But family bungalow, which you upgraded and which is suitable for 4 pax, is only in Nubian Island.

100% perfection, met lovely people the only down side was the fact we were only 1 of maybe 5 groups of people who were British. Always leave a small tip whenever you go out and leave your towels out and the will create art out of them.
