“For a budget holiday, I was not expecting this!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2010

Me and my partner decided to have a cheap end of year holiday for a week- a quick getaway to relax and unwind before Christmas.
Well i am so glad that we stayed at the All Seasons Badawia- We didnt expect what we got. Very friendly staff, clean hotel rooms, a clean pool and food that we could actually eat without getting sick.
This is a 3 star hotel and although the rooms are basic, they were cleaned everyday. the towels and bed sheets were changed everyday, and we had lovely towel sculptures most days that always made me laugh!
They run shuttle buses to hot spots and have a hotel taxi cab which was always really handy.
The staff are so friendly, and really looked after us, if we needed anything at all there was always someone around!
You get a lot more than what you pay for and i would definately go back! :-)

Don't be put off by reviews, as listening to everyone in the airport they all had dodgy bellies as did we, the food wasn't great and the drink was worse...the people make up for it.
I picked this hotel because it was one of the only hotels that didn't have bad reviews over the last few months.
we arrived in the dark and thought we were in the middle of no where......which in daylight we found we weren't.....there is a fantastic shopping mall 5 minutes out of the hotel.
The hotel itself is very run down......but the staff make up for the surrounding area....they cannot do enough for you without being in your face. That's the sad thing as the hotel lets the staff down. I can say that it is immaculate and is clean rigorously around the clock and we had clean towels and our room cleaned everyday, sheets every other day. The pool was great and the pool area was immaculate, although it is a bit of a run to get a bed in the morn, make friends with Mohammed and you are guaranteed a bed......We found the food great, plenty of choice but as with all inclusive there are plenty of people who are ready to complain. The only thing I would say is there were plenty of Russians staying and they were like locusts...just get in before them. if you fancy a change you can walk round to the Mall and have a nice meal in one of the many restaurants there as we did and it didn't cost much.
We had a great stay...the highlight was a quick taxi ride booked through the hotel (£10) return to sharks bay.....take a snorkel or do a dive as the tropical fish are absolutely amazing...a sight I have never seen before even better than the barrier reef. we stayed all day and had lunch in the restaurant to you far left as you go into the beach the food is fab

Dear Guest,
We are very sorry to hear that you left our property with mixed thoughts, we are at the moment in a state of constant upgrading for the hotel, since we had taken over the hotel at the beginning of the year there are been many changes and upgrades, a lot which you will not see as they have been in regards to operational items and infrastructure.
Furthermore becuase of the high level of occupancy duing the year it is very difficult to do major work with the hotel so hence we have been working on a set plan to complete 75% of the items within the first year of operation.
I assure you that you will see changes within the next couple of weeks with respect to the comments on your hotel and the areas you have mentioned.
I would also like to thank you for commending our staff, and disagree with you on the fact that management lets the staff down. Our staff and guests are our priority as management and you will find that we have a very low turnover which is very rare in hotels such as ours in Sharm El Sheikh, and this is due to employee satisfaction.
In closing, we thank you for taking the time to write a review about our hotel, and you are still always welcome at the All Seasons Badawia.

I have been to Egypt 4 seperate holidays and always enjoyed the hotels/people. Check the below details before you consider booking with this place!!
This review was from 6 nights I stayed last week.

- All inclusive - Alcohol served until 10pm only. After that must pay for drinks.

- All inclusive - ALL rooms have two single beds so if you are a couple you must push the beds together. There are no double beds in the complex.

- My Necklace was taken from the room, this was a beaded costume jewellrey necklace, once I complained it turned up hanging on the mirror in the room the following day . This I can confirm was not there previously.

-1 Cleaner frequented the room daily to make the beds and tidy up, he constantly moved our personal belongings in different places which I was not comfortable with.

-The day before we left my partners phone was STOLEN from our case. As we did not use a safe we kept our mobile phones off and what we thought safe in the suitcase and only turned on once a day whilst in the room then returned them to the case. The phone was taken out of its protection case and taken from the room. The only person who had access to our room was the cleaner. After reporting this nothing was actioned by the hotel staff.
When I escalated this to the facilities manager she told me to wait in reception whilst she questioned the cleaner - she never returned to me so therefore there was and is not conclusion.
We were left frustrated and our last day ruined with trying to sort out paperwork and what happened. This was handled in a truely shoddy way which was very frustrating.

- There does not seem to be any firm manager to report any incident to.. Nobody seems to want to take responsibility for this.

I warn you, if you DO want budget then this is a perfect place to stay, budget food, budget rooms, budget staff.
If you have valuable phones/ personal valuable jewellery either LEAVE IT AT HOME or use a safe. and dont tell the staff your safe code as they may ask you according to a fellow holiday maker.

I will never stay at this hotel again.
Next time I visit Egypt I will pay that little extra to stay in higher quality and trusting surroundings.

-If you do decide to continue with a booking for this hotel a tip would be to buy your own beverages at the airport as the wine/vodka etc is not good.

Dear Guest,
It is with great remorse that i write this response, however unfortunately your review was not accurate and here are the points which i think you missed out by accident. It is very difficult for an incident like what you have posted to go without any action being taken.
You were supposed to make your check out on Monday, and you came to the reception on Friday to report that your necklace was stolen, only to find it on your mirror. You reported your phone missing one hour before your check out!!!! And informed the reception that you hadn't seen it since Saturday which was 48 hours before your check out. Furthermore your suitcase needs a secret combination to open, which you showed us upon check out when we asked you to double check your suitcase before accusing anyone of stealing. We contacted your rep to see if you wanted to take further action by making a report at the tourist police, and you even asked our guest relation manager for assistance and a report for your insurance company from us stating that the phone was lost, not stolen! Furthermore the hotel took all your personal contact information just incase the phone turned up somewhere if it was misplaced so that we could return it to you.
And one more thing which i noticed in your review.....you advise guests not to give staff their safe code!!!!! Why do you do that???? Let me give you some advise, please when you travel do not give anyone your safe code, that is why we give you a safe in your room!!!!
Your comments about a budget hotel and budget food and so on is your right as a guest to place your opinion on the property, hence i dont know why you are stating this hence i will not comment and just thank you for taking the time to write a review on your property and that your feedback is valuable (sometimes) however please note that your comment about the wine and alcohol at the hotel not being good is nonsense becuase it is the same alcohol used by every single hotel in Sharm El sheikh for their all inclusive program.
We do apprecaite customers who take the time to write reviews, positive or negative, as long as they are objective and honest, in furture make sure that your review is accurate and fair, all the staff here work very hard day in and day out to make sure that all our guests have an excellent holiday so the least you should owe them is an honest review.
Thank You

Thank you to all the staff for a lovely week at the resort! We came for a relaxing holiday and thats exactly what we got. I was made to feel welcome by everyone and had a fantastic time.

The hotel itself is about 20-30 mins from the airport, and 20 mins out of Nama bay (regular shuttle busses available) there are local shops and bars a 10 min walk away if you fancy exploring a little. Our room was basic but comfortable, quite spacious & had a patio overlooking the pool and was always clean. Food is plentiful & tasty and always served with a smile from the staff.

The pool guy (I'm sorry I can't remember your name!) was fabulous and always sorted us out with a sunny spot and a sunbed - even when we wern't there at 7am to reserve one! Marco serves drinks with a smile in the pool, but if its a cup of tea you are after... go and see Steve in the camel bar, he also makes a mean cocktail!

Thank you to all the staff for making the holiday a lovely experience for my first trip to Egypt and making me not want to leave! would definitely stay here again.

First of all i would like to say that friend and i were not supposed to have been staying at the Badawia,we were booked into the All Seasons Oasis but that was closed, so we were then sent to the Luna Sharm but that booking had been cancelled ( So much for Low Cost Holidays ), so we then ended up at All Seasons Badawia and im so glad that we did... 28th Oct - 7th Nov 2010.
My friend had stayed here back in April, so we knew that the hotel was good.
We arrived after midnight and given a great room -101 right next to the pool. The rooms were very clean and tidy with a fridge, tv and great air con. The beds were so comfy aswell. Alex our cleaner was a gem,a bit shy at first but after a couple of days, very chatty and pleasant, he did work really hard and still had time to do us some great towel art. Thank you Alex xx.

The pool and pool area was always clean and tidy, thanks to Mohamed, what a guy, really pleasant and chatty, he works constantly ensuring that people have sunbeds, towels, ashtrays etc. But i must say that he does also get some grief off some guests, who cant get a sunbed, its not his fault, so Badawia, u need to invest in some more beds please, But keep up the good work Mohamed, you are an asset to the Badawia xx.

Then theres Marco and the pool bar, a great place to sit and cool down and be served a fab Marco cocktail and watch a few of Marco's magic tricks, he had us stumped a few times, another great guy who works so hard, never still.... we miss your cocktails Marco x

There is also the Splash Bar at the end of the pool area, where you will be served mainly by Memo and Abdul, who make the best Coffee aswell. Two great guys who always smile and make you really laugh ( us brits who were there those same weeks as us will know what i mean ) !!!!!!!. They have the lunch time snacks up at the Splash Bar too, usually, hotdogs, burgers, chips, pizza, chicken wings.

The restaraunt food at the Badawia was very good though im not a very fussy eater anyway. There was a good choice of food on offer for veggies and meat eaters, chicken, beef, fish, pastas, rices, salads and the potatoe wedges were gorgeous.
Most night there was meat cooking on the bbq outside the restaraunt usually, chicken, beef, stirfry, kebebs all very tasty.
I would like to say a big 'HELLO' to Mamood AKA Rooney, who was in the restaraunt everyday with his big big smile and friendly chat, he would bring your drinks to the table and always remembered what you drank, lovely guy x

I would also like to mention Waed AKA Young Mohamed Ali and Lisa who work so hard.
Waed gets everyone joining in the entertainment and is so pleasant, always smiling, always stopping to chat and Lisa who has to deal with any concerns or problems the guests have, always pleasant and smiling doing her job really well and still taking time to join in with the guests entertainment. So any problems go see Lisa ! x

Can i also mention Mohamed the night security outside the hotel entrance, very pleasant and always having time to chat and say hello, also works long hours ! x

The Badawia is in a good location, right next to the Il Mercato, it also has a free bus to Naama Bay twice nightly and a free bus to the Beach several times a day, both only 10 mins away.
This was first time to Sharm and the All Seasons Badawia and i will definately be returning and definately to the Badawia, what a lovely warm and friendly place to stay, i had a great time, made some great new friends, wish i was still there.

See u all soon, 5 stars all round from me xx

PIcs soon to follow guys xx

Dear Sally,
A 5 star review deserves a 5 star thank you..:):):):)... Thank you for a detailed account of your experience at the All Seasons Badawia, and for mentioning staff that stood out and helped make your holiday expereince a memorable one.
With respect to the sun beds, we are looking at increasing the number of beds, however becuase we have limited space around the pool we are looking at different ideas, hence you will find the cabana's which help take the pressue off the beds. However I promise you that on your next trip to Badawia you will find this problem solved.
We look forward to seeing you again soon and are so happy to have you part of the All Seasons family...:):)

Rated as a 3 Star hotel the accomodation offered a basic furnished room with A/C and a fridge at no extra charge. Ground floor rooms mostly looked out towards the pool area from full width patio doors.Try to get one of these as the first floor rooms don't have a balconey. The beds were comfortable and sheets/towels changed every two days. The room cleaner Alex was a real nice fella always smiling and making the odd animal sculpture with our bathtowels. He cleaned the room and bathroom everyday without fail. Some of the room furniture looked a little tired but was more than adequate for us.We were staying on B&B basis for 11 nights for a total cost of £760 for two adults of which £525 was the cost of flights. You do the maths not much left for the hotel. The hotel was taken over by new mangement at the begining of the year and are slowly making improvements,Lisa the manageress was most professional and did her best to resolve any issues her guests had.Breakfast was the usual cereal, cold meat, cheeese, pastries, omlettes etc. Most guests had opted for 'All Inclusive' that's ok if you want to eat at the same restaurant, not for us,eating out at a different type of restaurant each night and at a reasonable price was our choice. Don't go expecting 3 Star standards as you would find in the UK. That said what you do get for your money is a basic room, clean bed and a shower that works, after all you're not living in it are you.Read the reviews and take some of the comments with a pinch of salt.
