Well Done all who work so hard and yet always had a smile and greeting. Too many to mention but Barscuem, Ata, Ala, Carlos, Mina and our room cleaner deserve a special praise. I have to say that the one down side was the attitude of the Restaurant manager Abo. Despite trying to be friendly he totally ignored us to the point of Rudeness, Why I don't know but what a lovely change when be left to go on holiday and Mahmood took over. A total contrast to the former. Overhall a lovely stay and will definitely return.

Room Tip: 2042 a nice quiet room

On arrival the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The room was clean but a could probably do with updating. Good size bathroom and walk in shower (although the temperature was a little unpredictable at times). All the facilities were clean and the swimming pools were lovely - great to have an option of the quiet pool or noisy pool. In the restaurant there was always a good variety of food to choose from and a selection of puddings. All the staff were very friendly and attentive and in particular Carlos was a delight. Entertainment and activities were a little hit and miss but the entertainment staff were friendly and up beat. Overall I was really pleased with the hotel and would recommend staying in this hotel - one draw back was that the location was a little remote but with a free shuttle bus to the beach and a taxi service on hand at the hotel this was not a problem.

Another great stay, some good improvements, i.e. less vegetation for mosquitoes to hide in, afternoon fruit and cocktails served to the guests. Staff are as always excellent especially Mina, Mohamed (pool staff) and Nassim and Melad( bar staff).

Room Tip: If you want peace and quiet ask for a room by the quiet pool, if you want more fun then ask for one...

We'd not been to Egypt before and didn't really know what to expect seeing as so many people had given us mixed reviews. Upon arrival we were welcomed straight away, hotel and facilities were aesthetically pleasing and staff greeted us with a smile. My boyfriend and I wanted a chilled holiday and that's what we got.. All staff work so hard and the entertainment team are all on hand to make sure your making the most out of your stay! The hotel run a sunset cruise and it's ideal as only people from the hotel go.. Allowing you to interact with other Brits as the hotel is mainly dominated by them. Carlos is a true lad and made that trip one to remember, if I'm honest along with meeting some lovely people Carlos really made our holiday constantly making a prat of himself around the pool and really interacting with everyone!! I've said I want to go to Egypt again next year if not again this year and I couldn't imagine spending my time in any other hotel. St George homestay it's been a pleasure :)

As soon as we arrived the atmosphere was clear, the staff here were determined to be friendly and welcoming. We were quickly booked in and shown to our room, our cases were taken by a very helpful gentleman, whose name I do not remember.

Soon after we ventured to the dining room for our first meal. Having been on all inclusive before, I pretty knew what to expect. There was a selection of different foods, being a greedy pig, there was obviously going to be plenty to satisfy my appetite. "Fussy" eaters will obviously be disappointed on occasions, as will the people who think the lowly price they paid for this service will give them cordon bleu cuisine. Everything was warm and tasty and again the staff were going out of their way to ensure everybody was happy and satisfied.

Breakfast and lunch are similar to dinner, lunch has a few less choices. Breakfast is a bit samey/samey, but the right things are there. Bearing in mind you can't have bacon or pork sausages.

At this hotel there is a "Quiet" pool and a "normal ?" pool. Being as we had a 7 year old and 10 year old in tow, we were never going down the "quiet" pool route. It's not really for us anyway. I do know, however, that the various "sellers" of hotel services do also venture here.

Anyway, we always used the normal pool, for want of a better phrase. Here there is entertainment provided from 10am until 1230pm and 3pm until about 430pm. The entertainment is provided by a very well run team, who again go out of their way to ensure a good time is had by all. The morning activities start with "stretching" after a team dance by the team. The various activities including darts, pool, aqua gym, water polo, water volleyball, beach volleyball. Special shout outs to Misho, Hima, Mina, Oscar, Charlotte, Kimo, Claire and Sammie. Sammie runs the kids club through the day, which we did not use, but I am sure will be very well run and very entertaining for the little ones.

The hotel has a shuttle bus running to it's own stretch of beach which is 5 minutes away I believe. Again, this is a service we did not use as we're not really keen on beaches.

There is a 24 hour on call doctor on site who is extremely approachable and helpful. We did use his services on a couple of occasions and he proved very useful.

Meesha, "Guest Relations", made sure to let us know she was available if ever we needed to discuss anything. Whilst this was re-assuring, the hotel is so well run by the other staff, we never found this necessary. I am sure she would have been good to her word if we had needed her.

A large shop greets you as you arrive at the hotel selling souvenirs, etc. and there are some smaller shops inside, which sell food and drink items, cigarettes, souvenirs and some reasonably priced "Converse".

One thing that you must do at this hotel is go on the "Sunset Cruise". During our stay this was provided by Carlos, who is one of the nicest people you could ever meet. Everybody loves Carlos, even my little girl who is often very suspicious of males. Carlos made for a great host on the cruise and goes out of his way to entertain. Apart from seeing the Egyptian sunset. we got 45 minutes of Snorkeling. Our 10 year old son is autistic and we were apprehensive about him going out there. Not a problem to these guys, as soon as everybody else came back, they took him out on his own for 5 or 10 minutes. We went on the cruise again and this time we were confident enough to just throw our soon out in the ocean and I jumped in with him. After the swim in the Red Sea, we were taken out on a dolphin hunt. We were lucky enough to see dolphins on both occasions. The second time we went, the guides were also fishing from the back of the boat and caught 2 tuna and proceeded to gut them in front of us and have my kids pose for pictures with the fish. Something they really enjoyed. After this it's time to sit back and enjoy the sunset before setting off back to the bus. The cruise is only about a 15 minute ride from the hotel. All the time on the bus, Carlos is entertaining with cheesy jokes and playing the music from his mobile phone over the microphone. The price of this is £20 per adult and £10 per child over 5. Children 5 and under go free. Well worth it.

8:30PM is mini disco time, usually taken by Sammie. My little girl loved this, although she had me up all too often.

9:30PM is show time. Various things were on offer; Dance competition, quiz night, bingo, fire show, belly dancing, a dance show by the entertainment team and karaoke. The shows are family friendly and make a fine end to an enjoyable day.

An "A La Carte" restaurant is available for a small charge. I paid about £13 for T bone steak with all the trimmings. Made a nice change and you can still get your all inclusive drinks whilst you're up there.

Marco is the hotel's photographer and we came away very happy with the shots he sold us. We had about half an hour of him taking shots of the whole family, then sat down with him and found the best photos and came to a deal on buying a nice little booklet with a selection of the shots. Very professional, he certainly knows what he is doing.

If I've missed anything, I can only apologize, but there is so much praise to give out to the staff at this hotel, it's hard to keep up with what I have said.

The only small blip came as I was about to leave when one of the barmen refused me a Pepsi. Officially my all inclusive wristband had come off, but I don't really see how a Pepsi or 2 was going to hurt. Nevermind, when I return and I WILL return, I will just take a small amount off my tips next time to make up for it :)

Overall, this hotel has to score 10 out of 10 and the whole team should be very proud of themselves.

Room Tip: If you want to get to bed early, don't get a room near the theatre. We were on the front of the...

Have just returned from a 10 night stay at this hotel with my husband and we both cannot fault it. Had been once before 6yrs ago but will not be leaving it so long before going back again. All facilities were comfortable and certainly lived up to its name of St Georges Homestay, and staff always so friendly & helpful, would recommend to anyone thinking of going to Sharm el Sheik for a holiday.
