“Honest... Tip early on it pays!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2012

First time to Egypt & enjoyed it alot. If your a nit picky kind of person then dont book this hotel u wont enjoy it as broken pool tiles (which u find in 99% of hotels) & the amount of steps there is will spoil it! spend abit more & stay over the road at the Hilton!!!

Ok so stayed 25/11/12 to 9/12/12 we had two rooms 2318 & 2319 both rooms brilliant very clean & kept to a high standard. Our cleaner was mohammed who is such a gem very trustworthy we left our phones & ipad in the room everyday & was never touched.

Jasmine bar & restaurant were ok, beer is out of a can & soft drinks is out of bottles, you only get little glasses but you are welcome to take your own beaker & they will fill it for you. Food not brilliant breakfast was crap but as a fussy eater i found something to eat every night.

The hotel is over run with Russians who we found to be rude & aggressive but they were housed in the Rosetta part of the hotel & all english were in the Jasmine.

The night time entertainment consisted of a speaker on the stage playing music in the Rosetta & a few young girls took the evening entertainment in the Jasmine & to be fair it was diar!! They do organise a trip to SoHo Square which is cheaper than getting a taxi & is a hassle free area just dont pick the coach with the russian girl running it as she will only tell collection point pick up time/ important info in Russian she knew we were english but ignored us we had to ask! VERY RUDE!

We only used the jasmine "quite" pool which was brilliant with poolside bar & snacks the chef & barman are brilliant.

Every worker here is lovely & cant do enough to please you most nights we ended up in the Jasmine bar & were always laughing with the barmen, they like to play tricks on you, they once pretended to drop a cup of tea over me which obviously i screamed & everyone laughed this resulted in "CUP OF TEA" being the catchphrase for the rest of our holiday haha!

Tip everyone early on it pays. 10-20 egyptian pounds once a week is enough but it will pay when the restaurant is full a free table will appear just 4 you

Yes the road outside is busy but you are on the main road into Naama Bay what do you expect. If you decide to walk into naama bay the best & safest way to walk is to come out of hotel turn right cross over to the Hilton & walk through the Hilton (this is allowed & security are fine with it) this will bring you out to the beach and if u turn right it will take you straight into Naama bay!
You will get hassled just say no and keep walking otherwise you will be there forever dont fall for there tricks to get you into a shop either they say things like can you come and write an advertisement in English for me please i have a new shop etc etc!

Overall id rate this hotel a 8/10 and i would return & recommend to my friends and family.

Just returned from Tropicana Jasmine. Rooms ok, bathroom looked shabby. Bitten by lots of bugs. Standard of cleanliness within the restaurants very poor, dirty glasses every day, dirty tables which was not inviting. Main swimming pool looks as though it needed retiling. Other pool also had broken tiles.Snacks were stale pastries only.Hotel located on very busy road which can be difficult to cross especially for the infirm. However the staff proved to be helpful and friendly. Lots of steps to climb within the hotel grounds. Would we go back to this hotel again ?? Absolutely not. Would i go back to Sharm El Sheik ?? Probably not.

Room Tip: Stay away from entertainment area.

Just returned from Sharm after spending the best 10 days abroad we have ever experienced .

Any concerns we had prior to travelling after reading some reviews were quickly quashed on arrival.

The hotel was lovely and extremely clean, the location was perfect and we could not have asked for a more friendly or attentive staff.

Would go back this afternoon if it was possible! When we return to Sharm we will definately be returning to this hotel,.

My wife & I have been 8 times to Sharm & this was probably the best visit yet. The staff in this hotel are great very friendly & helpful,The hotel food is good with a good selection, The rooms were clean & tidy, however no safe in the room. The hotel is only a 15 min walk from Naama bay center which is great for a change of scene, Cracking Chinese restaurant above the Naama shopping center, Chinahouse, 3 courses & drinks & tips for less than £15 a head !!! just for a break from the hotel as i said the food in the restaurant is great as well. Usual spa outside if u want that thing, & the diving center in the Jasmine bar (Mando) will sort you with any package u need very reasonable prices. One nit pick i had was no wifi available in hotel but the norm in Naama seems to be any cafe or restaurant, buy something & get free wifi while your there.!!
all in all we will return here it was a terrific 2 weeks

Room Tip: Sports pool mainly Russians, Quiet pool mainly brits but there is good integration

We went to Egypt on the 24th of August for 2 weeks and it was brilliant. The hotel was really good, the staff were all really nice and friendly, especially Hany and Wael who were always good for a laugh. Me and my girlfriend both enjoyed the food at the hotel, there was always plenty to choose from. The small plastic cups by the pool do get a bit annoying after a while but we managed to pick 2 plastic pint one's up. The location of the hotel was just perfect for us, it was only a 5 minute walk away from Naama Bay which is good cause you avoid a lot of the noise and the crowd around the hotel. We did eat out a couple of times for a bit of a change, we went to the Mexican place at the top of the strip which was amazing, and we went to a Thai and Indian restaurant and a steakhouse on the main strip which were both delicious.

We went to the spa just outside the front of the hotel on our first day and it was worth the money, it got us both in the mood for the rest of the holiday. We also booked to go on the boat trip to Ras Mohamed and the quad biking with the Bedouin dinner which was brilliant and worth doing.

The whole holiday really was brilliant and we're looking to book again for another holiday in August next year.

Room Tip: Our room was on the bottom floor facing the pool, couldn't of asked for a better one.

We went to Eygpt for the first time and our first all inclusive holiday, we didn't know what to expect. We absolutely loved it, it was our best holiday yet and we only stayed a week.
We heard complaints about the food but we enjoyed every meal there was plenty to choose from and always full of flavour dishes. I am a vegetarian and my boyfriend is a fussy eater and we never had any problems with the food! We found all the staff very helpful they could never do too much for you always making us feel very welcome. We gave a tip to a waiter every night and every mealtime we were always looked after fresh drinks and constant top ups!
We also left a small tip for the cleaner and he always cleaned our room to a good standard and left a different towel sculpture on the bed. It was my birthday whilst we were there and a member of staff brought a cake to my room!
There was plenty to do with 4 different pools to go to at the hotel & the 2 private beaches. We only went to 1 of the beaches it is a 10 minute stroll down the road and was nice for a morning to do abit of snorkelling.
The trips with the animation team were handy we went to soho square and the night market we enjoyed both. We were warned of the hassle from locals however we didn't find this to be a problem at all we found the locals friendly but not pushy or persistent as people made out.
We also went quad biking in the desert which was brilliant! Also with Thomson we went to Cairo for the day to see the pyramids and the sphinx, also to have lunch on a boat on the river Nile & to the museum of Cairo we loved this too it was a really good day out!

Overall we found this hotel excellent and the staff made our stay thoroughly enjoyable and we would recommend this hotel!!

This was the first time that my mum, boyfriend and I have ever been to Egypt! I have to say overall it was such an amazing holiday and i also celebrated my 21st birthday there!! However, just a small problem is the weather, it was sooooooooo hot just walking to the private beach (which is a 10 minute walk and is quite small) seemed like an hour and by the time we got there we had sweat dripping from head to toe lol only went to the beach twice. i was told it was going to be hot in july/aug time but i had no idea how hot 30-40% was!!!

we did so many amazing things while we were there, most of which we booked with our Thompson rep:
- swimming with the dolphins - although it was only 15 minutes iv got to say its absolutely wonderful
- VIP cruise - very relaxing, including nice food and drinks + we got to snorkel for the first time
- birthday night out in pacha - which i have to say is such a brilliant club, drinks are roughly £10 for JD/Vodka and mixer as it is
imported lol but hey it was my 21st =P
- trip to Cairo - which is unbelievably long especially in the heat, but worth a visit to see the pyramids and the museum (which has no air con!!)
- Sinai by starlight - such a lovely atmosphere with food, drinks and dancing plus a very detailed explanation of the stars and planets which we loved
- quad bikes in the desert - well worth it but i ave to warn u its a bumpy ride lollll
- Soho square - probably not worth the bother there isnt much to see there just a few shops however we thought we would make the most of it
and visited the ice bar which was really small and a shock wen its so hot outside lol
- go karting - it is a good experience for people that have a thrill for racing and i came last =(
- shish outside the hotel - we couldnt believe how cheap it was to smoke shisha compared to in England.. absolutely loved it plus very helpful manager of the shisha cafe who gave us discount
- para-sailing - which was on another hotels beach so bit of a distance - did this in tenerife and loved it so had to do it again, well worth it
- camel riding - i suggest you don't go to the camel riders outside the hotels as they may rip you off but on one of the excursions we went on a
camel and i had a bit of an accident i must have kicked the camel from the other side when trying to get on and it started to lift itself while i had one
leg on its back, i then fell onto the man trying to help me on and hurt my chest for a week so that has scared me for life LOOLLL!!!
- aqua park - a really nice water park full of different slides. kids will love it, and the food included is not so great as they did not offer
an alternative for people that cant eat beef

now for the hotel - it is a lovely environment, the staff are all really nice and always willing to help, it was quite clean but we weren't very fussy as long as it wasnt filthy because we were hardly in the hotel room lol air con was great but sometimes we kept it on too high while sleeping and wen we woke up we were absolutely freezing!! i would suggest that you haggle as much as you can when you visit markets, naama bay and for taxis. we usually paid 10/20 Egyptian pounds(£1/£2) for a journey from the hotel to naama bay. My mum the amazing haggler managed to get a Cleopatra statue from 500(£50) Egyptian pounds to 150 (£15) which was great and it is beautiful!! another thing is people will hassle you from left right and center lol you just say no thanks and keep walking. do not follow anyone into their shop.. we did this and it was actually quite scary he kept offering us free gifts and then poured us some oil perfume which we didnt want and told us we would have to pay for it.. we werent going to pay for it but he lowered the price and i just wanted to get out of there!!
the food at the hotel was actually quite nice and the restaurant staff are there to help. if you give a tip to the cleaner they will do some amazing towel art i loved it!!

i hope this review has helped, i thought i would write one myself as the previous reviews on here were very helpful.. the hotel was great, entertainment was good, food was good and activities were brill, weather was unbearably hot but what can i do if i was born in august and wanted to go Egypt lol =P

Room Tip: Room with a pool view is great, you can wake up, walk out the back and grab a sunbed!!
