“Magic Holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2013

We stayed here 18th April for 2 weeks. We arrived just after 6pm. Check in was fast and smooth with a welcome drink and a cold towel. Online pre-check in helped to make the whole process quick because instead of filling the form I just signed the printed one and then we were given our room card and towel cards in a little book which included hotel map and hotel information. We were given room with the garden view on top floor in the block 18 exactly as we requested via email one week before arrival.

Hotel- is nice and clean with many hard working staff. The gardens and the beach area are beautiful.

The room was nice and clean with everything you need, shower, hair dryer, wardrobe with 10 hangers, TV, fridge with soft drinks and water (daily replenished with no extra charge), tea and coffee facility, safe and air con.

Food- tasty, prepared fresh, massive choice. There are three A-la-carte restaurants which are great.

Swiming pools- nice and clean. Relax pool is small and quite and Activity pool is large with music and activities going on. Both pools have pool bar with drinks, coffee and snacks.

Bars- there are many bars but for us the Eagles lounge was the best. They do the best cocktails. The lobby terrace bar was also good. There are two more bars, American bar and Wunder bar which is open 24h.

Beach- is private and huge with plenty sun beds and massive wind breakers. There is a private jetty on right hand side.
If you fancy snorkeling than this is the right place for you because there is a huge coral reef right at the end of the jetty.

Activities- There is always something to do. Beach or water volleyball, water polo, beach football, football, basketball, tennis, archery, mountain bikes and many more.

Entertainment- it was the best I have ever seen. The animators are pure professional dancers and acrobats.

Internet- is everywhere and it's free at the moment because they are testing new provider. You have to get free 2 hour token from reception. The speed of the internet was good enough to make a skype call. It might get slow when it's busy 18:00-21:00.

I can only mention one negative thing about this hotel which is the cigarette smoke. If you are a nonsmoker that get ready for the smoke because it will follow you everywhere. There are only two nonsmoking areas which we noticed, one is in main Magico restaurant and second one is inside the Eagles lounge.

Overall, well managed hotel with pure all-inclusive package, beautiful gardens, hard working staff and fantastic animation team. I would recommend this hotel to my friends.

Stayed here April 1st for one week. Second visit here so must have been good! Good option for families and couples too though seemed to be more families here on this visit. I travelled with my mum for a sunshine holiday. Weather perfect in April. Mix of Northern Europeans - Belgium Netherlands Germany and UK with a few Russians!

The hotel is lovely. Was very very busy as Easter hols but still plenty of space. Always sun loungers though might not be your first choice ones. Quiet pool option or near activity pool which is my preference or the beach! Both have waiter service. Sports and activities programme good and aerobic studio is open air over looks the beach so take your gym kit! Cycling seem popular too.
Snorkelling of the reef is a must- its beautiful. Buy beach shoes and snorkels from the shop as cheaper than UK.

Rooms are a good size and have a really nice layout with a separate area with large comfy beds and nice linen. We had a standard room and was central with a view of the gardens.

Food was brilliant- themed nights always good choice plus pizza and chips! Restaurant was too busy on a couple of nights. Difficult to find a clear table at peak times. But the food was worth it! Booked at Sofra and Mai Tai a la carte. Drinks are great and cocktails are lovely so try the entire menu!! Not premium but still nice! Lots of cold drink choices too.

Service 110% at all. Tipped at the end of the hols. Take some pound coins to tip the transfer driver and bell hop (£1 each per person) as it is expected.

My favourite thing about this hotel is the beautiful gardens and landscaping. Really lovely. Would recommend the Sinai starlight trip.

This was out fourth visit to this hotel, we love it. It's the perfect place for a great relaxing holiday. We enjoy our day around the quiet pool and we are recognised by the pool bar staff! Can't wait for our next visit!

After a 7 day red sea cruise we arrived at this gem of a hotel. We were in block 12 just round the corner from the reception. Check in was fast didn't see cases they arranged all that for you. Very large activity pool no problem with beds which I might had are very comfortable, supplied with towel also. The large magic buffet restaurant has a wide range of cold & hot foods which are cooked in front of you, excellent. They also have 3 theme restaurants which you can book into. We went to the Meditterrean on the edge of the walk way by the sea, it was 5* service. They also dress up the magic restaurant each day with a different country theme, which is brilliant. The cocktails are good too. I must say this hotel provides an excellent service, you don't need lots of entertainment there as there are many different bars to drink in. W e didn't walk outside the grounds because we just didn't like the look of it and was quite happy with what we had inside the hotel complex. We were there from 25th April/28th. It was very, very hot 39 degrees no breeze. I must add the gardens are a wonderful sight to walk around.

We visited Magic life again after enjoying our last break here in Oct last year. We were not disappointed. Our room was on the ground floor in block 10. We never needed to reserve our sun beds. Food in the main restaurant was good, Now to a little gripe:- Have you changed your supplier to the beef as most of was quite tough and we did struggle to cut it most of the time. The thing i think the management DO NEED TO ADDRESS IS:- We were being picked up at 4pm and had kept the room until 3pm but from 2-10pm we had the porters banging on the door in 10 minutes intervals until 2-50pm which is when the took the cases and i was not really ready The letter we had received the day before said when we are ready we should call the reception. So my stress free holiday then became a rush and trying to finish our showers we were being continually interrupted and my stress level had risen. Also they walked in the room shaking change and made it VERY clear they wanted a tip before moving our cases. SHAME ON YOU BOYS the whole time we were their we never felt the need to tip but did so regularly due to good service. Apart from that the staff couldn't do enough for you. We were well served in the room and bar and restaurant. Our previous rating was Excellent and because of you PORTERS i have down graded you to very good. So the new management please address this and our next visit i would like to upgrade you back to excellent. From Steph and Les Passingham

Hotel, room, beach etc very good rooms kept clean and tidy, by housekeeping.
Food was very good excellent variety.
General serving staff OK, but that's it. Made a complaint as I saw a number of staff around the pools hitting on young girls (18+ I guess) on there own, and them struggling to get rid of them. At one point I almost had to get up get tell the waiters to sod off and leave them alone, but they moved on.
Very full of Russians when there last week, and they take some getting used to as the are very bullish and appear to have no manners (my apologies if this is a cultural thing on their side.)
Overall nice and most would enjoy it here, it's an all inclusive hotel, but my favourite tipple gin and tonic tasted the paraffin.

Went there for our honeymoon and spent just over a week in Club Magic Life. On the whole it's amazing. Service is at the heart of what they do and it shows. They made our honeymoon very special and continually exceeded expectations and you can't ask for more than that. The food is very good - the buffet is pretty thorough, with a wide selection of salads, meats coupled with various authentic themes, and they go to various lengths to decorate. Cocktails are great and the beach bar is deffo worth a visit. The staff genuinely enjoy working there, and Leanne in Guest Services always makes an effort, often asking if everything is OK. Nothing was too much trouble. You'll get to know all the bar staff and they are all great - some even offering a table service, One waiter in particular, Khaled, always made the effort to speak to us and always went out of his way. The hospitality manager is always close, talking to guests and going from restaurant to restaurant to make sure standards are high. The a la carte restaurants are excellent, the Egyptian one being a highlight. Rooms are large, good balcony.Pools are very good but the entertainment team are tedious / cringeworthy, not really for British tastes. The Ampitheatre is a bit bizarre - make sure you see the Egyptian male dancers that spin in their neon dresses!

Plusses: A la carte restaurants, superb service, wide variety of hot and cold buffet food, cleanliness

Minuses: Near unusable wifi (often broken), very dark outdoor eating (more lights please!), appaling and confusing signposting. We found the cash point on our last day!

There are no signs, but try to get up the tower, great view!

Outside on the main strip in Nabq (pronounced Nabak), it's a bit hit and miss and the half built hotels can look a bit rough, but don't let that put you off. Don't be afraid to barter with the shop keepers. Taxis are good, you can hail the blue and white cabs to most places for about 5 - 10 quid (UK) each way but have the right change. Or if you're really brave get in the white minibusses!

Awesome overall, will be back next year.

Room Tip: DON'T get a pool view unless you are looking for a party vibe!!
