“Gluten Free Friendly”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

Just returned from a week in Magic Life. Very friendly helpful staff. Chef on hand each evening to talk me through which food was gluten free which made life much easier as a coeliac. No poorly tummy. Hotel clean. Beach on the doorstep. 2 swimming pools which includes a relaxing quiet pool. Entertainment very basic but if you are after a week or 2 in the sunshine with helpful staff then this is ideal.

I chose this hotel because of reviews I had seen - but having been there some issues could do with clarification. Firstly the hotel has 3 excellent speciality restaurants and some reviews and web sites suggest you can only use one per week. In fact on a 7 day trip you get use of each one once i.e. 3 visits. If you go for 10 days or 2 weeks you get six visits. Some people complained about queuing to book taking ages. I found I never waited longer than 25 minutes which was worth it. Although the buffet restaurant was good the food in the speciality places was excellent with a nicer ambience - also the wine was much better - I would recommend the Omar Khayam red and white, but not the rose. We stayed in Block 17 (garden view) which was nice and quiet but still close to the main pool, the beach and the main restaurant. We had a very enjoyable 10 night stay. The staff were great - apart from one guy on the beach from the spa! Mainly very sunny in mid February - 25-28C but very windy - only one day in 10 when snorkelling was safe. One other thing - I went on to the Club Magic site and discovered I could pre register which saved us having to fill out forms when we arrived. I was also able to ask for a type of room and got it. For us 2 couples we got adjoining rooms on the ground floor with a garden view. Also some of the stories about better exchange rates in the hotel were not true. Better getting Egyptian pounds at home. Tipping key staff at the start of the holiday pays dividends. Pound coins/euros/egypt pounds all acceptable.

Room Tip: Garden view rooms quieter. Blocks 17 and 18 best - or 14/15

Excellent resort with several pools & bars and its own private beach. 24 hour all inclusive with no need to wear a band which helpful. Staff were fantastic to myself & my daughter and made us feel at home straight away. We upgraded to a suite which was on the top floor of one of their many blocks on the resort and had fantastic views of the beach & ocean. Although very nice my one criticism would be that the rooms needed upgrading. I was expecting it to be mush more luxurious but i am told this is in hand. Also not enough electric sockets at all & no tea & coffee making facilities which would have been nice. However, the food & bars were excellent with many show cooking evenings & different cuisines. The outdoor theatre was excellent with shows and films playing throughout our stay. One tip I would give when going to Egypt is to take plenty of english pound coins to use to tip.

What can I say that has not already been said by all the people who have stayed here.
I agree will all the reviews who see the excellence and value for money that you get at this hotel.
It was are first time here and we where so impressed that we booked to return same time next year as soon as we got back to the UK. We have stayed in many hotels over the years and always enjoy our winter break at an all inclusive resort, before this we used RIU group, I must say that this hotel is easily on par with them. Thank you to all the staff at this hotel for providing excellent service and wonderful food during the whole of our stay.
We will be back and bringing more people with us next year, I cannot sing the praises of the place enough, as an added bonus the snorkling is brilliant. Stayed 4th to 14th Feb 2013 rm 16107 down by the beach.
Thank you again Magic life

Just returned from a fantastic week staying here (17/2/13 - 24/2/13). Arrived late evening after the evening meal had closed and were very impressed by the choices avalable in the late evening 'snack' buffet and also by the beautiful gardens as we were shown to our room. Our room, although not particularly modern, was clean, well decorated and had everything we needed, and having adjoining interconnected rooms were ideal for us and our 2 teenage children. We were in Block 14 which would definitely recommend as it was close to the beach and the pool, far away enough from the activities to be very peaceful but not too far. I would certainly recommend a high room as we had bonus unpaid for sea views also looking out over the gardens and the balcony was in sun throughout the day and completely sheltered from the often chilly breeze. After spending the first day by the activity pool we quickly realised it wasn't for us, although it would have been a few years ago when our children were younger and after finding the beach looked no further. The sunbeds were plentiful, very comfortable and the wind breaks provided good shelter from the breeze. As soon as you sat down the beach bar waiter would come over with cold bottled water for everyone which was a nice touch. As for the food, we also noted that breakfast did focus considerably on eggs of all varieties and the lack of bacon and baked beans was one small gripe for one of my boys. Other than that it was all of excellent standard and there was always a good choice with different themes each night in the main buffet. We only tried one of the a la carte restaurants due the fussy eating of my children which was the Egyptian one which was excellent and it was nice to be waited on for a change, and the wine was of a higher quality here though still free. The wine outside the a la carte restaurants was certainly palatable though and the range of drinks available as all inclusive was second to none. And beware the strength of the drinks - there are no such things as measures here! Everything is kept immaculately, all the staff are exceptionally attentive with a special mention to Nida who simply made my sons holiday with the daily football and archery. Wonderful winter sun break - though I swear I never would go back to the same place twice it is the first place ever I am very tempted to return!!

Room Tip: Higher rooms get more sunshine and privacy but there are no lifts so only if mobile. Block 14 well...

We stayed at this hotel for a week in early February and it was really very good. This is a perfect venue for getting away from the cold British weather. As has already been commented in previous reviews, the general standard of service was of good quality and the staff were all friendly and attentive. The food was of a higher standard than normal for an all-inclusive hotel, but does shut very quickly at the set time, so don't leave eating until the last minute.

The hotel leads onto the beach where there are plenty of sun loungers. The hotel pools can get quite busy and so this is a more peaceful alternative. Walking along the beach is also a way of guaranteeing some exercise if you don't want to take part in the various activities arranged by the staff.

We really enjoyed our break and hope to return again.
