Me and my husband got married in Aug 2012 and fly on the 16th Aug 2012 so you can imagine this was our honeymoon, good start to the trip as the beginning was great, also we travelled from Doncaster Robin Hood Airport. We arrived at Egypt and it was MAD at the airport after finding out Thursday is like a Sunday over there and it's one of the most busiest days at the airport we was told we which we can agree. We was advised to get a visa at the airport by Egyptian airport staff which we actually didn't need! They ask if your planning on doing any excursions and this cost I believe 15 Egyptian pounds all they staff ask "are you doing any excursions?" we'll you actually only need a visa depending on what excursions you do actually do. We collected our luggage and tried to find out where to go as we walked out we just followed other travellers that was on our flight as to be fair there was hardly any staff near the exit of the airport to say where to go, managed to find out where to get on coach. Coach transfer was good when we arrived at the hotels hitch was approx 8.30pmit was a quick check in after filling out their paper work, there was a good welcome with cool flannel and glass of orange juice which was nice as when we arrived it was 38 Celsius , we was taken to our room which was top floor at the "Menphis" block with our luggage, and the man that brought our bags, he stood at the door for a what felt like awkward long 2 minutes now this was my first time abroad. He stood waiting for what I then released tip I didn't know what to tip therefore gave 20 Egyptian he was still stood there waiting as if he wanted more, it was quite awarkward. We unpacked went down to grab something to eat before their restaurant closed so it was good to get something to eat after the trip. The next morning we went exploring and our first full day it was over 50 Celuis the hotel was always willing to give plenty of bottles of what and would always tell you you to have and get plenty brilliant knowing its free when you think of the amount you go through in the peek oh the hot weather in Aug! We went to explore the hotel and found some great other travellers that had just arrived therefore we decided to discover together these people helped us enjoy our honeymoon :) we went to beach what I will say what's not good the jetty in front of the hotel isn't Club Magic Life's jetty which we thought was confusing as it was the hotel next door?! We got what I would say hassled at first silly me that's never been abroad and husband had never been somewhere like Egypt, lets just say if a man with a camel stops you on the beach and tell you to jump on because its FREE DON'T, as oh no what a mistake! Yes I'm silly now as we all know you don't get anything for free these days but I fell for it but then so did the other couple jump on one too and before you knew it my husband was in with me. As we got off he demanded 400 Egyptian pounds, but we hadn't got no money we didn't think we needed any as we had only gone to explore and in an all inclusive hotel we didn't think to take any out yet due to not going shopping or on excursions until a few days in, the Egyptian man then told us he'd come back to our hotel room with us to get the money!! Well I don't think so that wasn't happening. We then went and found shelter back in the hotel pool bar in the shade as it was red hit. The week went on we went scuba diving we booked excursions trough Thomsons as we wanted to them and wasn't pushed to book them either, went scuba diving on 19th and it was great never been in a sea before other than your basic seaside sea and that well is very rarely and because they not exactly nice in the uk meaning Skegness sea well I don't and couldn't swim in it like you would Egypt, but what an experience and we was sooooo lucky that we had the scuba diving photographer come with us as another group was un lucky :/ so if you want pictures find out what group to go out with and let's just say when we booked the excursions with Ashley the Thomsobs rep she didn't fully explained it right we was told we just needed money for food as we would get it when out, we'll we was starving by the time we went home as there was nothing and no way to get food?! So we didn't think to take enough money for photos but. Did have my bank card which in English pounds it out me about £25 which you to photos on disc and we happend to have spare memory card which she also put them on for us or nothing we was so happy. Things went on to go well until we had a problem with the Superviser Bar Assitent think if only i could remember his name, but he was so arrogant rude and god! Ice creams are rare to get unless you manage to be there when they give them out at activity pool, well this member a staff on three occasions ignored and was rude. He came to had them out husband missed being given one therefore he went to get from man and he turned went to give it him then took it back and walked away the man turned to my husband twice other to give it him but then tuned and kept walking now we thought he was having a laugh at first but by this men's face it was no joke. He did this on 3 different days, now when my husband was saying excuse me and asking politely for one this men was extremely rude therefore 3rd day I complained to the man thmson rep. Now this rep I found was great he was originally from Cario too which was good, he raised it aware to the man for us to be on fruited are one of the shows we went to enjoy a nice drink to be tapped on my shoulder to be suddenly said" you get a problem with me" this was disgusting as it felt very uncomfortable when you've gone back with other guests he's got the rooms attention and I believe it was the wrong way to go about it. I then went back to rep and complained again the next day the man was given a day of leave due to this I'm glad that was our last day therefore we didn't have to confront on last day. Someone said about maybe heated pools I'm not joking the s not needed just go in Aug then you'll get your heated pools lol air con broke about 4 times but they came to fix, we had a ant problem as because we was there 14 days they gave fruit basket but as we was out early till late eating out at restaurants the fruit don't get eaten but the cleaning services didn't remove. When the people come to pary the ants they wiped the ants off and handed us the fruit basket back?! They left done liqued that try used against the ants on the floor, left and we heard them laughing as they left :( drinks we fab the choice was great they was tight n alcohol but due to bring so hot we didn't really drink that much. We don't play home, but we played archery whilst there as in very high heat in Aug it was the not suitable sport in shade in that heat. Archery man was great, but the entertainers attitude I wasn't keen on. They seems quite arrogant at times. There was one waiter in the main restaurant he was so nice, kind, smiley and seemed happy. He treat you very well he wanted to waiter on you all the time, the restaurant was fab my husband is picky eater and he always managed t eat something. I love all food and wow!! The selection is great just not the extremely large fish heads that look at you lol. The Beauty & Massage people was quite annoying must had been approached every day which I was going to but it all become very annoying when you just want to relax you'd be sun bathing and they would blck the sun and stay stood there unil you looked up sometimes. We met some great English guest round the activity pool we tart when we arrived by going to the quite pool but there was towelson beds by 6am as our bedroom on looked the pool so we saw and by the tie after breakfast there would be in beds! Nothing against but it was. Few groups of German guests that kept doing this as become apprent guests then got left by room device saying if towels are in before 8am they would be removed but this never happened. We then sayed at activity pool and we didn't save a problem there. They annoying thing was I had 4 Egyptian children playing behind me on some step/surface on the activity pool that they took a glass on and the were messing and they smashed the glass behind my back then run off I wa the only ne there but surrounded by glass cut my hand getting down. We reported the glass but they swept it back in the pool?! There was a lovely young Englh couple diving down with masks retrieving the glass they uld find, we was all very disappointed and was still finding glass days later. They will ask you to exchange lots of pound coins for a £10 note like that idea way for you to get pound back for you to start tipping again. The young last in the coffee tower was lovely. Our view during the day from our level of hotel room was lively during day. We left tips for room service but if caught them when going bak they would wait for more. One of the men to reception always seem un helpful and un welcome. We also dd the VIP Cruise which I advise you do as well as Scuba diving. They do go to some extent for their theme nights. The photographer on site will approach yours few times and us quite expensive we lo wasn't pleased with some if the photos. Neither less we would go back to this hotel, Aug too hot for children I'll not say some of the stories or state the parents let the children be in! But children were passing out due to the heat. Coming one was a pain rather, busy airport was than we arrived. But we enjoyed it very much.
