“Fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

Just come back from a 2 week stay at this hotel and I have to say it was worth every penny !.
The hotel itself is ultra modern and spotless, very very clean, with a fantastic water park within the grounds perfect for children ours loved it !!!.
The staff are the best part of this hotel all very very helpful and friendly.
The hotel is close to the airport too think its about 10 mins .
A perfect holiday and if I went to Egypt again would definitely stay here again.
The hotel has a taxi firm which I would not recommend anyone to use as they charged use 5 times the normal rate, just get a taxi on the main road .

A new hotel which lives up to its five star rating just got back today after spending ten glorious days there .From the time you arrive there and are greeted with cold towels and cocktails and taken to your room in record time to the time you leave you are treated like a member of their extended family. The rooms are superb very spacious huge walk in showers all toiletries are provided so no need to take any we were given an upstairs room which didn't have a balcony so spoke to reception and were given a new room with a balcony within an hour. The facilities are great although not all of the water park is open yet what is takes your breath away. All the many pools are kept Crystal clear and the gardens well maintained and when they are fully developed will be brilliant. The food is good with plenty of choice the a la carte restaurants weren't open yet but the food in the food court and main restaurants was very good .The entertainment team with Adriano Gina and new boy Leo keep you amused during the day and evenings .The thing that strikes you is how friendly and proud all the staff are of their hotel and the towel art by the person who cleaned our room spotlesely kept us entertained each day. This is a wonderful hotel ran superbly by Mr Denis and his staff so tell them Mr Chris will be back soon so keep practicing the darts Adrianos

Room Tip: If you want a balcony take a down stairs room with a pool view

New hotel just opened at the end of April . My wife and I went in May and what a holiday. You expect a few teething problems but everything was perfect from the minute you arrive to a cocktail to a tearful goodbye.
The hotel is well laid out with busy and quiet areas . Always plenty of sunbeds and so comfortable that you don't want to move. Towels put on your bed and changed through the day, waiters on hand to bring you drinks and fruit. Ahmed at the pool was there to put your umbrella up , cleaned your sunglasses and sprayed you with cool perfumed water to refresh you. The food was great , especially the breakfast were they made you a fresh omelette with ingredients to your taste. There was always a head chef in the restaurant to answer your questions . My wife loves Stilton cheese with crackers and had mentioned it would be nice to have some after dinner . The chef Reda went and sourced different cheese , Stilton and goats and baked her special crackers. This was presented to her every night and just proved that this a first class hotel that makes their guests feel special. We were in room 1808 overlooking the pool with sun all day. The rooms were luxurious , Elemis toiletries. fluffy white bathrobes and slippers. Every few days we would have a selection of complimentary pastries delivered to our room .The Hotel was spotlessly clean . The general manager Mr Denis walked about everyday talking to guests, asking for feedback and making sure you were having a great holiday. We have stayed in a few Hotels in Sharm, some of them rated in the top 10 of trip advisor and we would class Le Royal as one of the best .

We have just returned from Egypt and we had a wonderful stay at this resort.
The hotel is immaculate! Your rooms are cleaned and tidied daily and the pool and bar/restaurant areas are nipping.
The water slides are fab for all but if its too much hustle and bustle there are 2 quieter pools. You have an option to have your towels placed on your chosen beds for you - using your towel card and there is waiter service around the pool, which is fab.
It wasnt particularly busy when we were there and i must admit i think they may struggle in high season.
It was unbelievably hot and i would recommend you take some high factors. We never use them usually but it was a must! Also swim shoes for the kids are a great idea as theyre running about and the grounds slippy and hot and theyre climbing stairs - fiver from sports direct. God send, along with a uv swimming top as well which stopped burns from the slides and the kids shoulders from burning, again, fiver from sports direct, i would def recommend 100%.
Also have plenty insect/mosquito resistance products as theyre rife!
The food is NOT good and the a la carte isnt open. We really didnt enjoy it at all. A couple of nights we went over to he Sonesta Beach for an Indian meal, which was about 40quid for a couple and it was gorgeous! RHR really need to up their game with the food as it is not of 5* quality, at all. No seafood or cold meats, very poor salad selection but of course chips!! I had one good meal in there which was from the pasta station.
Entertainment really isnt up to scratch on an evening either, although the terrace is a fab place to sit it really lacks a bit of atmosphere.
I would not recommend you leave the resort especially with kids. The people are awful outside. Watch out for guys riding camels by the supermarket. Theyre renowned for letting your kids sit on the camel, then telling the camel to stand and wanting large sums of money to get them down. One couple had no money on them and the guy started walking off with their child!!! Theyll ask you to take a picture, stroke them etc, just ignore and move on. These people are desperate for your money. Our friend was locked in a shop until he bought something.
Also, when you arrive in Egypt youll see 2 guys with the name of your tour operator on boards, as if thry work for them, telling you where to go for your visa. They are sending you to the queue where you have to pay for your visa and unless youre going to the pyramids you dont need to pay! Insist you go to the free queue! These guys do not work for your tour operator and are on commission to get as many people as possible to pay. Go straight to free queue, youll see the signs above your head one with $15 on there, avoid this one - disgusting!!
People in the hotel are fantastic and bend over backwards and cannot do enough. They work extremely hard and we always gave a couple of pounds tip, the drinks were always flowing too. Its a fab place.
Make sure you take Immodium and Dioralyte as bad tummys are common and we both had it and i havent been too good since we got back. You can buy drugs there for about a pound and they work fab too.
All in all, fantastic hotel, wonderful facilities and rooms, exceptionally clean with great service. Poor food and not somewhere i would venture outside of my resort, especially with kids. Weve had a lovely time and loved the fabulous weather but not sure we would return.
Remember avoid the paid visa and avoid the camel men!!
Hope this helps.

We have just returned from a fabulous week's holiday at the Royal Holiday Resort in Sharm el Sheikh. From the minute we arrived the reception staff were so welcoming. Our room was first class and the restaurant offered fantastic choices of food - plenty to choose from. Restaurant staff were so welcoming and friendly. I did like my omelettes - thank you to the chefs! The animation/entertainment team led by 'wakey wakey Sharm el Sheikh-y' Adriano were so friendly taking the time to remind you of the various activities if you wanted to participate. Tamara took the time to chat and ask us if we'd enjoyed our holiday when she noticed us in reception awaiting pick up for our transfer to the airport. Thomas Cook rep Tarek so friendly and available every day at the hotel. Pool staff including pool bar staff do a fantastic job also all bar staff ... In fact every single member of staff went out of their way to ensure we had a fantastic holiday. You should be so proud of your staff. The various slides looked amazing for those who ventured there. We will be back. Thank you for a memorable holiday. Diane & Billy

I came to this hotel with my boyfriend and another couple, all of us under 22 and it was amazing from the moment we arrived. We had an adjoining room with one of the rooms having 2 queens which wasn't ideal but beds could be pushed together. Both rooms were spotless and the cleaner Ayman did an excellent job every day leaving us towel art! He always made an effort to talk to us and was fine with us crawling out of bed at 1 o'clock when we were hungover!!
Pools were good, with lots of choice of sunbeds and the slides were great fun! The pool attendants were really friendly and were more than happy to get you anything you needed, even bringing fresh fruit round every day.
The food was amazing with lots of choice even for a fussy member of the group!! Sherif the waiter remembered us every day and what we drank, so friendly and does an great job. Every member of staff works so hard all day long every day but still manages to smile and make conversation. Tok Tok was also great bringing us water when we were by the pool without us even having to ask and has some great banter!
If you want to go on a night out it is best to go with the reps (who go out most nights) so you don't get hassled. The pataya beach party was sooooo good!
Overall, everything about this hotel was brilliant. Great for couples and families. Can't wait to come back!!

We spent 11 nights here from 9th-20th June 2013. It was our first time in Egypt but it definately wont be our last. The hotel is beautiful and definately deserves it's 5* rating. We had a family room, number 1707, it was very spacious and has everything in it you could want. The view from our balcony was gorgeous, both day and night. The staff are all exceptional, nothing is too much trouble. They are all a credit to this hotel and without them it wouldn't be the same. The food is delicious and a good variety too. The thomas cook kid's club team are fantastic and do lots of fun things for the children. The hotel's entertainment team are outstanding and work endlessly day and night, Adriano was our favourite, so much fun and great with kid's. Our cleaner Tayeb was superb, always said hello, smiled and asked us how we were, he always stocked our room up with bottled water, did a great job at cleaning and made wonderful towel art designs for us. Nageeb, the cin cin pool bar man made excellent cocktails and had fun with all the children and adults around the pool. He's a really kind, fun guy. Mohammed from the lobby bar offered a great service, you was never without a drink. Ahmed and Sherrif from the Cascades restaurant was always attentive. Tariq the Thomas cook rep was always on hand for any advice needed. We booked a sofa ride and a private 2 hour speed boat trip to Tiran Island with a man called "Diamond Geezer" fully recommend him, very good service, fab low prices and a lovely genuine guy. Tiran Island is a must see place, WOW!! saw hundreds of dolphins and tropical fish. AMAZING!! All the beach bar staff are lovely and friendly. The beach and sea are beautiful. This has been the best holiday ever and we cant wait to go back. we've only been back 2 day's and are missing it terribly already. We are telling everyone about this hotel and recommending it as much as we can.

Room Tip: we had family room 1707, great room and fab views.
