I don't know about the timing, but it was kinda crowded at the time of my stay there ... the food was not that good you had to wait about 15 min. to get a table.
The rooms were clean, AC working perfectly, that's one thing i was pleased with.

I guess there might be better hotels but its good value for money .

This hotel is only fit for Egyptians. If you enjoy continually screaming children and even louder adults with terrible food ( all salad and gristly scrawny meat) and disgusting table manners, then this hotel is for you. The so called 'private beach' is shared with 3 other Hotels and is a bus ride away, Internet/broad band is costly, paid by the hour and only receivable outside not in your room and you are continually pestered for: massages, beauty treatment and news papers. The entertainment promised is aquarobics with extremely loud music, still it hides the sound of screaming children. The rooms have seen better days and are dirty and shabby. All in all a hotel to be avoided especially if you have children

Good points: Excellent value for money. If you book through 'On the Beach' or 'Travel Republic' you should be able to get this hotel at less than £70 per person per week, B&B. For that you get exceptionally friendly staff, a decent level of accommodation and most of the facilities you will need. We have used this hotel as a base for our diving trips for the past four years and have never been dissappointed. I can't really vouch for the food in the main restaurant because we don't use it. Naama Bay is a £3 taxi ride away with plenty of restaurants to choose from.
The air con. isn't the quietest I've ever heard but at least it's up to the job. The rooms have a small kitchen area but the only equipment is a fridge. We have seen an interesting change in the clientel over the past 18 months. Where it was once frequented by Italian, British, German and even Russians it is now largely an Egyptian family hotel. This is a plus point for me because they are a very friendly race and generally seem to go to bed early!
If you want luxory then go to the Hyatt or the Four Seasons. The Tivoli is 3* but good at it.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Tropicana Tivoli at the end of May/start of June. On arrival we were put in a downstairs room at the back of the complex. We (along with several other guests) asked to be put in an upstairs room with a pool view. We were told this wouldn't be a problem if we paid the equivalent to £70. We didn't mind as the difference in the quality/interior of the rooms was staggering! So I would definitely recommend everyone opt for upstairs rooms with a pool view. The air con in the rooms in absolutely fabulous! The pool is beautiful but the pool bar isn't much good, cocktails were OK and the food wasn't much better. Breakfast selection and quality was just ok. The hotel location is ok if you don't mind getting taxis to and from (It's not really within walking distance of any of the main areas) Although Il Mercato is only a ten minute walk away which has a good selection of shops and restaurants. The hotel beach is a ten minute shuttle ride away and is a lovely area for swimming with the fishies! As for the staff, Abd at the pool bar was lovely as was Mohamed at the reception. Osama the hotel taxi man is an absolute gent too, on the way back from Soho one evening he even took us to one of the local mosques for photos (at no extra cost!) Ahmed at reception is extremely rude and condescending-should not be working with the general public at all!.. On exchanging our money to Egyptian Pounds at reception, he decided to round it down and keep a profit for himself!! (and that's the least of it, I won't go into details on the rest!)
I probably wouldn't stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view room UPSTAIRS!

With just 100 rooms this hotel was exactly what I was looking for when I needed 2 weeks of sunbathing and nothing else! There were always sunbeds available by the pool and the staff are very friendly and attentive - nothing is too much effort. Situated a (£5 rtn) cab ride away from bustling Naama Bay, the hotel is perfectly situated away from the crowds if all you want to do is sunbathe for 2 weeks (top of and only thing on my holiday 'to do' list).

Having a fridge in the room was invaluable, especially with a supermarket & pharmacy just across the road (selling water at 20% of the price of the pool bar) so you can stock up on water and snacks. That said, the all-you-can-eat dinner (for just £8) looked great although I never actually had it and the food served at the pool bar was of a reasonable standard (although most dishes were served with chips). The shopping/restaurant area of Il Mercato (a £4 rtn cab ride away or a 15min walk if you can bear the heat & tooting cabs) has a few restaurants that other holiday-makers recommended and the best seafood restaurant in Sharm (Fares).

Despite a few less-than-perfect aspects (a couple of lamps and a ceiling light not working, limited choice of food on-site, cleaning not totally thorough, lack of choice at breakfast if you don't fancy the traditional Egyptian choices of salad, mash, cream cheese) I didn't want to come home and would go back in a heartbeat. For guaranteed sun and relaxation I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms looking out over the pool have a great view but if you like to take a nap during the day and t...

My partner and I 's second stay at tivoli and we decided to go back because the staff made us feel so welcome! A great choice at breakfast should suit all needs ( although I recommend the omelettes). The bar food is very good but dont rely on the evening meals as they don't vary and it's good to get out try other places to eat in Naama bay! Ask for a room with a pool view these ones from our experience are the best!

I ve just returned from a week's holiday in this lovely hotel (end of May '12) and thoroughly enjoyed it. It could probably do with a little bit of refurnishing but it's basically clean, friendly and peaceful and the staff are more than willing to put to rights anything that you ask.The food was really good and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The dining room manager was lovely and really looked after everyone well. I enjoyed the other Egyptian families there and the subdued Egyptian music they played around the poolside during the day. It was all very relaxing and the hotel staff were the most obliging I have every met on a holiday. Finally, I left my wallet behind with a considerable sum of money inside and the hotel made arrangements to have it returned to me by another Irish holiday maker who flew home a week later and re-united me with it. I highly recommend it.
